Shambolic was the only way to describe Wiltshire Council’s signage of closed roads today. A journey that should have taken 90 minutes took 3 and and a quarter hours.
Road closed, no explanation as to why of course. Each exit from the roundabout had a diversion signs on every so as I do not know the area I’d no idea which to take. I tried one and of course there were no further signs, just a multiple choice of small lanes.
Caused me a 50 mile plus diversion to travel what should have been 6 miles.
Cannot get through to anyone on the phone and you need an account to complain.
And tomorrow I have to try and get out of here……….

Honestly, my only contact has been negative. I pay my council tax without complaint but simply expect, at a minimum, a degree of civility. I worked as a customer services manager for several years, at a bigger company than Wiltshire County Council and can say without hesitation, that the call taker I had to speak with, needs serious re training or a different role. Poor Wiltshire Council. Poor.

They are CORRUPT and obsessed with forcing Frivilous PCN's against Blue Badge holders like me. I was having an EMERGENCY to go to the toilet for a WEE and POO which is a Human Right. I parked my car in Blue Boar Row just after the Disabled Only Parking Sign. I clearly displayed my Disabled Blue Badge. But when I returned about 20 mins later a PCN was on my windscrean. I tried to Appeal but Wiltshire Council did not help me as they clearly HATE citizens who appeal. They have breached the Humam Rights Act, Mental Health Act and Equalities Act and the Offenders should all be sacked - SHAME ON THEM AS THEY ARE CLEARLY CORRUPT AND CANNOT BE TRUSTED. HENCE IN MY LINE OF DUTY I HAVE PUBLISHED MY GENUINE EXPERIENCE.

I reported an incident to the public protection dept weeks ago ago regarding a neighbour carrying out extremely noisy & dusty work WITHOUT any warning resulting in me having to go to A&E dept with injuries . I was sent the wrong forms & the space allowed for documentation of times / dates / & effect on health issues minute ( 2 lines ) I returned them recorded delivery & have today been told my information is Insufficient & they can't do anything to help as the Work being carried it is finished . They are NOT interested in my videos of recordings of the large machinery being driven right up to my home resulting in the ground underneath my home shaking. . This sector is Failing the public on safety & protection of health .

Trying to renew blue badge. The person who answered the phone was not very knowledgeable or helpful.
Apparently they need to ring me.
Due to my disability I am not always able to answer the phone.
Tried to get them to email me with what information they needed but the person I spoke to kept interrupting me and was very unhelpful

Just for the record. Paying my Council Tax online is a poor experience - there's no benefit to me paying by Direct Debit bar the ease but plenty of benefit to paying by Credit card. However, as a software Developer of 50 years experience I can safely say that the online experience is glossy but functionally it's dreadfully amateur - unfortunately, a sign of the times.

No acknowledgement to emails when they've explicitly asked you to email info. Rude on the phone, missed bin collection for seemingly no reason. Have lived in 4 counties in 6 years and this is undoubtedly the worst council I have dealt with.

Completely wastes money on useless projects and then puts council tax up to cover their mistakes, taking away any accountability. Ignored my complaint too. Grass outside my house (that is their responsibility) hasn't been cut in ages.

I sign in because you refuse to use Fixmystreet so you deter pothole reports. You then take me to another page which says 'sign in' You try and make it as difficult as possible

Maria in the telephone team made dealing with a stressful pest problem very easy and such a relief. She listened carefully and booked me a very swift visit by WCC’s pest control team. But more than that she was sympathetic and kind, whilst at the same time also very efficient. It felt like it was usual for her to go above and beyond - she restored my faith in telephone customer service.

Over promise, over charge and under deliver. Absolutely disgraceful how Wilts council just regard themselves as entitled to more and more tax payers money, yet gross financial mismanagement is rife.

Housing conveniently gatekeeps information you need to get appropriate housing.

Was told I would need an assessment in a public place, so had to check the law on that and you are entitled to have your assessment in a confidential private space.

The council has failed to find me suitable accommodation in the timeframe that is set out in the homelessness reduction act.

Just a general zero star rating for general minus zero star rating for a nasty, incompetent, negligent local authority. Not fit for purpose. Sack management, give taxpayers the option to sue every time this waste of resources local authority wilfully ignores their most basic responsibilities / paid for duties

Unfortunately there is nowhere zero star. Sent a message to the highways team. Got a standard response of “fill in an online form”.
Problem is the online form is a series of drop down boxes that don’t cover all issues, so nowhere to ask a question regarding yellow lines.
An absolute shambles of an organisation that have never once answered a question I have raised with them.

Its a crooked county council and local town cllrs with long history of very dodgy cllrs and officers. Corruption at its core. Its a Wiltshire thing... it stinks... literaly. Conservative true blue and now tory lite libdems.. yuck. But then the people get the local government they deserve... as the phrase goes.

I am 62 years old and have been made homeless because my family suffered multiple hate crimes. Reporting this to police got me blacklisted from social housing.
I feel that I have the right to call these corrupt council staff scum.
They broke up my family and begged the help of their partners to police to allow offenders of serious assaults criminal damage race discrimination daily attacks in my family this scum covered up by trying to force me out of the area keeping me homeless.
They got the police watching their backs and the courts.
Wiltshire is the most corrupted county in the country because thus scum demands partnership support.
Staff from bourne hill in Salisbury need locking up for hate crime and misconduct in public office.
They won’t respond to my communications. Blicked my email and my housing application.
These are the real scum of our country. The real monsters the real vulnerable people attackers and abusers. All from bourne hill in Salisbury in poisonous wiltshire

Be careful complaining about the mis treatment you receive from Wiltshire council as it will only make it worse.

Good luck getting anything fixed before or after the complaint.

Renting out a private property, BEWARE!
I have a consent to let on my mortgage for 12 months after my dad passed away, I decided to move back in with my mum for a while.
I have a 12 month contract with a rental management company in Warminster and made it incredibly clear it would only be a 12 month term. I gave the tenant her section 21 with plenty on notice for them to find alternative accommodation only to be told WILTSHIRE COUNCIL have advised the tenant they can stay in my property!!!
Of course I was absolutely disgusted so I contacted WILTSHIRE COUNCIL to find out exactly what’s going on and I was told that I was making the tenant homeless by giving them notice (section 21)!! I was so taken back I didn’t know what to say.
This tenant was only ever on a 12 month contract which has now passed.
This has caused so much distress, anger, disgust and frustration. I cannot even begin to explain how awful the rental experience has been, I will NEVER look into it again after this ordeal.
Councils cannot afford to rehome people, so are advising they can stay living on in peoples private property! BEWARE OF WILTSHIRE COUNCIL!
I wish I got the ladies name who told me I was making the tenant homeless! It’s absolutely unbelievable and not true.
I am also now funding this tenant as my mortgage rate has increased and I have a buyer lined up waiting to move in..
Wiltshire Council you are rude and obnoxious! Ever since I first had to start speaking with you people you have been nothing but rude and disrespectful, you get cut off when no one wants to deal with you. It’s appalling they can get away with it!

I have made 4 telephone calls, you have failed to respond.
On 3rd Mar I emailed you and asked for a response, you have failed to comply.
As executor of her will, i cannot fulfill my duties.
You are NOT fit for purpose and your rate payers are being failed by a incompetent/negligent administration.
