Awful Camping Experience
My husband and I decided to have a four night stay here to look back at fond memories of our camping holidays with our son many times - it was a nightmare from start to finish. We rolled out our ground sheet and set up camp, not realising there was a huge hole in the centre of our pitch causing us to get our foot stuck a few times. The nearest drinking water tap was further down towards to the shop because the tap near our pitch was out of service. Worse, a football stadium bright light shone on our tent throughout the night, it would've been helpful if the site map showed the location of the lights. Our pitch was noisy with site repairs taking place adjacent to our pitch - from the tractor to the warden’s buggy - up and down, up and down continously. The regimental rules where your vehicle and tent must be positioned should be relaxed. The guest wi-fi @ £6 per day for 6 devices was a rip off. Why not reduce the charge for one device? I called Reception (went through to Kellingheath) as my payment was unsuccessful but the team did not have a contact number of the name of the service provider. We arrived pm 15th October and left 10.00am on 17th October - two days earlier because of the noise and bright street light. A total waste of our money and time off work! Pitch 14!
Tip: Check if your pitch is next to the outside light!
