The item that was purchased Yardmax 26" Snow Blower 208cc Engine. The machine we purchased was a lemon brand new item never used. Went to use the warranty and they made us pay 100.00 and than we were dealing with where item was purchased they finally refunded us had to go all the way up to the Corporate office for the product but yardmax advised us since we returned the item they weren't refunding us for the 100.00 we paid for the diagnosis that they asked us to do. DONT BUY ANY OF THE PRODUCTS THEY DONT STAND BEHIND THEM THEY ACCUSED ME OF SCAMMING THEM WHEN IN ALL REALITY THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!!!

DON'T EVER BUY A YARDMAX

Bought a yardmax 21" mower the end of May 2025. Between the time I bought it and the middle of September, I had used the mower four (4) times. In September, I go out on a Tuesday morning to mow the yard, it won't start. I am only using QT non-ethanol gas, so that's not the problem. I am past my 90 days to return this hunk-of-junk to Home Depot. So I contact the company, they want to send me a carburetor for me to install. I'm hesitant as this may void my warranty. They send anyway, and give me a lot BS about what their warranty will cover. After three or four back and forth, they then say take it to a small engine repair shop, get an estimate on how much to fix it, how long, what is the problem, but do no repairs until they review and decide if they want to fix it under warranty. So the day before I take this piece of crap to a small engine repair shop, I install the carburetor, still will not start. Get the estimate, $120. Spark plug, clean the carburetor, not it starts, even through the repair shop was made aware the carb. is brand new. Send yardmax the estimate, they say the warranty does not cover regular maintenance. What regular maintenance?? Used it four times before it will not start. DO NOT BUY A YARDMAX. IT WILL STOP WORKING AND YOU WILL PAY FOR REPAIRS. YARDMAX IS UNRELIABLE.

first week the self-propel quit…

first week the self-propel quit working. Got it fixed and still a piece of junk. DON'T BUY!!!! Nothing like having a large yard and having to push the lawnmower because it won't go on its own. Under warranty but have to take it in and they charge $60 to look at it and fix it. RIP OFF! What a waste of $300

Pulley went out

Pulley went out. 2 weeks back and forth with customer service. Finally told part is out of stock and wont be available for another 4 weeks. Bad plastic parts, poor customer service, engine seems good.

YU4066 oil tank filter issue

LAST YEAR i PURCHASED THE YU4066 40 ton wood splitter. This is an awesome splitter for the money. Basic and simple and powerful, butt....They have a problem with the hydraulic tank filter, it clogs and causes fluid to spew out the filler cap vent. Brand new it was defective and sent me a new one, upon my complaint. Second season start up and it's doing the same thing. They obviously know what they are using is an issue, because they knew immediately the issue. Now with a pile of wood sitting in my way my complaint has gone to deaf ears. They are putting me off for some reason with no return fix for the situation. I can't find a parts avenue to reorder a new filter so I can move forward quicker than they appear to be moving with my fix to the situation. It's an excellent splitter, too bad it falls short at customer service.

The 35-Ton gas splitter is a beast

The 35-Ton gas splitter is a beast. Works great.
However, their customer support sucks when it come time to order an accessory part and they used USPS who lost the package and Yardmax support won't resend the part for about another 2-4 weeks after the USPS responds to Yardmax on their package claim.

just don,t buy this junk

i will be honest your yard maxx mower 21 in that sells for 300 us dollars is just plain junk you guys know this if not read your reviews from all the people like me that got screwed out off 300 dollars for scrap metal stop making this junk

Electric log splitter

Electric log splitter. Model YS0952. The device destroyed itself on the 17th of December after less than 7 hours of use in the last 2 years. The warranty had just run out by days and yard max could not find my registered serial number. Conveniently when they did find it it was much earlier than my records and claimed it was out of warranty. The whole purpose of a pressure release valve is to prevent the piece of equipment from self-destruction. My moving the lever to engage the RAM has nothing to do with the equipment being over loaded. The pressure release valve was never set properly. Abraham at customer service has not responded to my question of " What is their definition of a pressure release valve". My cost was $614 and I have seen it in the last year sold elsewhere for $189. My mistake, it won't happen again, the replacement would have been less than $100 to satisfy my concerns. Apparently the $500 profit is not enough to cover the warranty. Why aren't there negative stars for rating?

2nd handle needing replaced in 2 years

3 months after purchase the lower handle split on each side where the bolts hold it to the deck. customer service states engineers are working on a better heavier handle to address the issue. asked if I could get the heavier handle, but not currently in production. they are sending a new original handle, but I am not confident it will last any longer than the first
Update: On 7/24/2024 I received a new handle from yardmax same material as the original. Fast forward to today 4/15/26 first mow of the season and the handle broke again in the same spots. Customer service states there is only a year warranty however if I send a picture of the issue TODAY they will send a replacement handle. I asked if there was an upgraded handle of better material, she didn't know what I was talking about. I can't be the only person experiencing this issue, my lawn is flat there are no hills where the handle is taking that much stress. It's cheap hollow tubing or call it a defect in materials, but it should be addressed at the manufacturers. It will happen again, and I will not purchase a replacement handle, I will purchase a better quality mower! Customer beware

I hate it

I hate it! 4th time using, and each mow the engine just shuts off after a few steps. Have to wait anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes before it starts again. A small lawn that takes no more than 30 minutes to mow now takes over 2 hours because of all the stoppage. It's heavy & burdensome. Will try to get through the season, then off to the dump it goes. Not even worth giving away. Product is sooo bad...check the reviews....yet they keep selling. Another Boeing CEO type leadership!!!

Had 2 issues but the company did not…

Had 2 issues but the company did not seem to care. The first was right out of the box the coil was bad. After spending 2 weeks back and forth with custome service I repaired it myself adding $75 to the purchasing price. After 1 cut the self propel motor burnt out. It was a repeat of the first incident so I repaired it myself. Now the plastic drive pulley has melted and the front assembly cover has broken 2 of the three bolt holes. I will try 1 more time but my next step is the auto junkyard compactor. I'll cut my losses and move on.

Mower is total junk

Mower is total junk. Customer service manager will not talk to customers on phone only email. Sent a bunch of parts to try to get mower running but gas cap still doesn't fit. Can't change motor pulley because part that holds blade is seized to shaft. Pulley is an attempt to slow the damn thing down. Bunch of upgrade parts to try to fix front axle from falling off!!

the only leaves blowing are from the wind!

I purchased a walk behind leaf blower from Lowes, it was shipped to me as it was not in stock and it required some basic set up: handle, wheels, adding oil and gas. I would have rather purchased it "Gas and Go" So after an hour I'm ready to go...but NO the pull start won't pull and I'm experienced enough to know something is wrong. I called Yardmax and the customer service rep tells me "my engineers say pull it hard" I said I'm 6'4" 215ibs I will lift the machine off the ground as the cord only comes out 2 inches.. PUT ON HOLD AGAIN, agent comes back and say we will send you out a new pull cord assembly and you should receive it in 5-8 business days. What choice do I have? I can't exchange it at Lowes because its not in stock. So I must wait. Whne it arrives I have to remove and replace the pull cords 3 bolts. Surprise it doesn't work still the same problem. I have the mechanic from the gas station come by and he puts a ratchet on the engine and stays "sometimes they lock up so we try and spin it" Unfortunately this did not work and I was told it was engine lock. Apparently the engines are made in China and are not the greatest he said as I looked at my 15 year old MTD 24inch push mower that has no been garaged but that Briggs& Straton engine keeps going. I called back Yardmax and informed them it was more than a pull cord assemble swap out and the needed to send me another one. They response was try and return it to Lowes. I said you have this full sheet of paper that says "PROBLEMS DO NOT RETURN TO STORE CALL US" and they said we have a no refund no exchange policy and a 30 day warranty Goodbye. I called Lowes credit services to challenge the charge, called Lowes corporate and the store and I'm still waiting. Seems there is nothing worthwhile at a pricepoint , Billy Goat or Little Wonder reign supreme. I one sentence my YARDMAX experience was very poor

Received the lawn mower with a broken…

Received the lawn mower with a broken part and speed adjuster not working. I have been calling, emailing, being sent parts for months and no one will do anything more to replace. They just email parts and videos. I have asked for a replacement several times. They will not replace or provide any helpful information to assist with their product! The products they are sending are not even for my model of lawn mower. I just want a working lawn mower or my money back! NEVER BUY YARDMAX - they are crap

Gave my husband a yardmax mower for a…

Gave my husband a yardmax mower for a gift last year. I picked it because of the leaf pick up features it had, so he wouldn't have to spend so much time blowing or raking. Still, it wasn't worth it. A tire blew about the 2nd or 3rd time he used it. Yardmax and every other store, never had the correct tire in stock. We did find a substitute eventually. Here the mowing season is about 7-9 months out of the year. When he went to start it up for the first time this year, the engine blew!! He didn't even get a full year's use out of it. Horrible company. Save your money and buy a different brand!

The only reason I gave yardmax 1 star…

The only reason I gave yardmax 1 star is because you have to. I bought a self propelled yardmax lawn mower. The second time I used it the self propelled went out called yardmax took about twenty minutes to get them to answer said part is on back order don't know when they can send me on so now I have to buy another mower worst customer service I have ever seen. Mower only five weeks old. Do not buy yardmax

Horrible customer service

9 ton electric log splitter motor seized up after 3 hours of use. Refused to send me a whole new unit. Would only send a new motor that I would have to install myself. DO NOT BUY!!!

Horrendous experience

I order a piece of equipment on September 6th and delivery was promised by September 15th. Today is September 16th and it still hasn't shipped yet. When I called yard max today I found out the item is still in their warehouse in freaking Mexico.
