BUYER BEWARE! ‘Change of Mind’ policy sucks
I decided to redecorate a space that I had been living in during lockdown. A couple of new cushions to freshen things up. After spending hours online, I ordered cushions from a number of online retailers to determine what colours and textures would work best with the intention of returning those that didn’t. The reality being you can’t order cushions online and expect to get it right first time. The other online retailers I purchased from had no problem with my returned items, but Zanui have a policy of not accepting returns of cushions (one of many items they do not accept returns on). I was unaware of their ‘Change of Mind’ policy, and considering the environment we now live in with many people shopping online due to lockdown, assumed that Zanui’s returns policy was the same as most other retailers. There should have been a clear warning at time of purchase. I am now stuck with cushions I do not want. This is a warning to others - choose carefully or be 100% sure of your Zanui purchase as you most likely cannot return it for a refund under their ‘Change of Mind’ policy. This was my first and last purchase from Zanui. I will not be recommending them to anyone I know.

Extremely Disappointed
I recently purchased a quilt cover, but when it arrived the box stated it was a Sateen Quilt Cover, yet there was no mention on the website the cover was Sateen. I promptly contacted Zanui and explained the situation of not wanting a Sateen Cover as Sateen is shiny and there was no mention on the website or in the description it was Sateen and I would never have made the purchase if I had known and wanted to arrange a return. I was informed that for a ‘change of mind’ a restocking fee of 20% would apply and the cost of the courier would be deducted from the refund. The website states that for ‘change of mind’ a 5% restocking fee applies. Not sure why I was told 20%??? I then expressed in an email again I was not ‘changing my mind’ and charging a fee was unfair. I also suggested that the description on the website should be amended and mention that the product is a Sateen Cover to avoid further issues with customers. A follow up email stated the restocking fee would be waivered and that arrangements were being made with the supplier for a courier to collect. I then received another email informing me of the collection day and that a restocking fee of 5% would be deducted from the refund even though an earlier email said the fee was going to be waivered. I sent a further email stating the restocking fee was to be waivered and how disappointed I was with the service and making a return shouldn’t be this difficult. A previous return of a quilt cover with Temple and Webster was quick and easy and a full refund was issued within three days. I then rang customer service to explain the situation, only to be told by the staff member that the website states in the description it is a Sateen cover and for a ‘change of mind’ a restocking fee of a 5% would apply. I explained to the staff member that in an earlier email I suggested that the website should be altered and for the description to include it was Sateen to avoid further issues. I was told by the staff member that the website had not been altered in the last 50 days and that a 5% restocking fee would apply. I then told the staff member that I had taken a screen shot of the product description and there was no mention it was a Sateen cover and the website description had been amended. She informed me that without photographic proof I would have to pay the restocking fee. I have since sent the screen shot to Zanui and am waiting for an apology and for the matter to be resolved promptly. I am extremely disappointed with the whole returns process, the lack of customer service and the discrepancies in email correspondence.

A++ customer service
The customer service team were great to deal with. I had a lamp arrived mildly damaged from transit, and a replacement was sent immediately. I didn't even ask for it. I was asked to send some photos of the item and the packaging, and was immediately sent a brand new item without question. What an incredible service.

Customer Service Blamed Me
I didn’t receive the item and the customer service blamed me because I put in the option of leave in a safe place. There was no SMS or email that they were coming and I had to go in the chat to find out it was delivered cos in my account it was not updated it’s still saying on its way. Never buying from it again

Order not dispatched no explanations
Placed an order on 03/08/21. Nothing received It said dispatch 1-2 days. Still no updates have made multiple phone and online Enquiries and keep getting told someone will get back to me in 48 hours which never happens. They won’t even provide a refund!

Amazing!!
I highly recommend Zanui for their quality products, professional and efficient service. For my first time shopping with Zanui, it was an easy and enjoyable experience.
I ordered 3 items and the communication and delivery tracking was ongoing, receiving my goods within a week of purchase.
A very small part of the order was missing but as soon as I emailed them, I received a reply the next day with a solution and I was offered 2 options.
It has been resolved and I could not be more satisfied with the result.
Josie was obliging and ensured the whole process went smoothly.
I look forward to purchasing more goods in the near future. Thanks Zanui!

Warning ! Stay Away From This Company $2,100 Down The Drain
Regrets.
Ever thinking it was a good idea to purchase a bed over $2000 from Zanui
Not checking Product Reviews of Zanui Customer Care Satisfaction prior to making a purchase, if done so I would not have purchased from them
Having confidence should a product be defective that Zanui Product Warranty Procedure would demonstrate their value for their customers with an effective and fair process
My Story
$2,100 Timber bed frame creaks when moving around the bed. I was asked to provide a picture of the item in full view, I even took the mattress off the bed and provided additional images of the bed and frame. I was asked to check all screws and bolts which I did.
8 emails back and forwards to their Customer Care Team. They had the audacity to provide the following response which demonstrates their management of product warranty claims (this is verbatim) " To be honest, we have sold a lot of the Rattan Timber Bed and we got no complaint regarding the frame sound"
They also insisted that for the claim to progress that I needed to provide them with a video of the frame noise which would require me or a member of my family to move around the bed, a completely unacceptable request to ask a customer to film a person on a bed moving around to provide image and sound - I was completely taken aback. The last straw was receiving their advice that
"Loose joints are a common cause of a squeaky bed, if a timber bed squeaks this does not mean that the product is faulty"
This says it all really - how uneducated I was to expect that $2,100 would buy a bed that would not squeak when you move around on it !!!
Like you who are reading this review, you expect a company to stand by their brand and customer value guarantee, not to have to waste your time after spending $$$$ to substantiate a warranty claim and as you check each box they continue to add more hoops to climb through until you are exhausted and therefore drop the process, they even sent me another communication this week stating that as they haven't heard anything further from me that they will close the claim file in other words they rely on you giving up on the process from shear frustration and exhaustion.
My response to Zanui is that I'm done communicating with them, my next course of action is a complaint through ACCC, even if the bed is now worthless to me, I want to ensure that anyone else contemplating using Zanui is aware what occurs if you receive a product not fit for purpose.

Do NOT order from this company!
Made an order online over the weekend, contacted the customer service team first thing Monday Morning (first business day) to cancel the order.
Online they had a clear policy which stated "If you wish to cancel your order, the order must be cancelled prior to the item being dispatched to you, in which case we will provide you with a full refund." When I contacted the team they said that it had not been picked or dispatched yet however I was not allowed to cancel the order because the order was already "confirmed" (you receive confirmation of your order less than a minute after it was placed - like most companies). They ignored their own policy and said they would contact me and follow up on it.
I waited a few hours and receive no contact, reached out to the team again and was given the same response. I looked online and they have changed their policy! luckily it is timestamped "If you wish to cancel your order, it must be cancelled prior to the confirmation of the order, in which case we will provide you with a full refund."
Absolutely appalling! buyer beware you cannot cancel any order... you will receive your confirmation immediately after you order your item.
Just moved into a new house and this was one of my first purchases from them, was looking into other items also, with their rug sale and larger furniture items but I will NOT be purchasing anything from them and will be advising all my family and friends to steer clear!
My advise to you.. if a company changes their policies and procedures to cover their a** - something really dodgy is going on!

Zanui - Fair play from online supplier - greatly appreciated
On my first purchase with Zanui I realised I’d made an error with the product selected and the product would not be suitable size for the intended space. Within 24hrs of order I called to advise them and ascertain options to cancel the order. I received clear, prompt professional and understanding follow up from Josie the customer rep. which was greatly appreciated. It engendered confidence in a future/ongoing relationship with Zanui. Will not hesitate to shop with you again. Thank you.

Karpin dining chairs
My dining chairs are perfect. Lovely firm seating. They are much easier to put together if you have an electric Allen key.
If not a spray of WD40 on the screws is helpful.
Customer service is very helpful and supportive.

They use the worst courier company in Australia
Their products are great, but they employ Fastway / Aramax couriers to deliver their stock. And boy it can take close to 4 weeks to get from one State to another.
They are the worst courier company in the country. I’ve had problems with this company many times, and if I knew they were using Fastway / Aramax, I would never have bought from them!!
Don’t shop here until their courier company is sacked or you’ll regret it!
