Galangal previously frozen sold as…
Galangal previously frozen sold as fresh. Yeah it was useable Galangal (within a week or so) no it wasnt fresh.
The company have asked for more details, to help them with their reply. So I have supplied those. I cant see why? They know the product is previously frozen and so do I. I would advise you buy elsewhere. This company is a lot of work.

I am sorry for the trouble.
As your review was an organic review it did not come with an order number. To help identify your order we can make the request for more information. I am very sorry for any inconvenience. We do not freeze galangal prior to shipping out, and would not substitute frozen galangal without speaking to you. But we do record a best before date on the fresh items when they arrive, this can be a few days to a few weeks depending on the specific vegetable. These dates are visible on the website and on the order confirmation and can be a good guide to freshness. I am sorry if you did not see that date when you ordered perhaps the stock had not just arrived from Thailand, perhaps you ordered it past the best before date. Our packers do make a visual inspection, if it still looks good they will send it out. I am very sorry if you have had any trouble contacting us, this review is the first we heard of your problem. I would be very happy to re-send your order with fresh galangal on the day the next batch arrives with us from Thailand, if this would help you to have a 5 star experience please let me know?

Thank you again for providing the additional contact info, I am sorry if the inconvenience prompted you to downgrade us from 3 star to 1 star it was not my intention to cause you a lot of work sorry.
I can see you did purchase galangal that was past our estimated best before date I believe the goods-in person gave them 11 days on arrival. Please note that these dates are displayed on our website and also on your order confirmation, and this is quite a unique feature, I am very sorry if you did not see these.
The galangal did pass a visual inspection prior to packing and I am glad to learn that you did find it was still usable despite the fact that it had not just arrived from Thailand the very same day you ordered.
We would like all our customers to have a five star experience and as a gesture of goodwill if it would help you have a 5 star experience I am happy to re-send your order on a day when galangal arrives with us which would be the day after it left Thailand and so it would be super fresh, would that work for you?
I have further investigated your order (thank you for providing the details once again).
I can see from the packing/scanning record that we actually did not send the 200g galangal packets it looks like we had a stock error, the stock we sent was 100g so we sent 6 packets which were actually on a different barcode.
I will now check the CCTV to see where these galangal packets came from .
I am glad to see the picker did indeed take them from the fridge.
However I am sorry to say that unusually we did not get these direct from Thailand they came to us via a local market. I will challenge the supplier and ask them to investigate this. If they they cannot guarantee these are not getting frozen somewhere in the supply chain we will no longer source galangal from them. So my sincerest apologies for that, we assumed they were fresh and never frozen, I will also report the market trader to the thai importer/exporter as they are likely damaging the importers brand with this practice.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, I will speak to the buyer about it.
And the offer still stands about the re-send, I will phone you next time some arrives with us direct from Thailand and see if you would like some replacements sending out. I am reasonably confident that they are not freezing them in Thailand.

I received my items quickly and received exactly what I ordered,I have only 2 problems the dumplings has defrosted slightly so stuck together ,but where delicious and soup mix had no English instruction of how to make them,dipping sauce was flavoursome and the cracker helped with my late night food cravings
