Today we visited the Amplifon hearing store on Grainger Street in Newcastle upon Tyne, my wife and I were booked n for hearing tests. On arrival we were greeted by a nice young lady receptionist who made us feel at home whilst we were filling in required paper work.
We were then joined by audiologist Andy who started to explain how the hearing tests would be conducted and what was involved technically in carrying out these hearing tests. Before any progress to the testing room Andy asked both of us pre test current and historical hearing problems, unfortunately , due to previous childhood ear treatments Andy reluctantly said he was unable to carry out tests on my wife’s due to her previous treatments.
Andy and I then moved into the testing room. Before the hearing test could start Andy had a few more questions to ask plus a short inspection of each inner ear. Due to both my ears being plugged by hard lumps of wax in each ear Andy explained any hearing tests could not be completed until both ears were cleared of wax.
Unfortunately both our tests were not completed, however we would highly recommend Amplifon hearing centre’s and in particular the audiologist Andy who was very efficient, professional and understanding.
Finally we can clearly state that at no time were we asked to pay for their services, hearing tests are completely free.

No problems so far with Green Star energy. This company took over my energy supply from Future Energy after they had gone into liquidation earlier this year. Good communications with easy to understand instructions. Would have given 5 stars except for not having duel fuel plans, seems a waste of money to have 2 different people coming to read meters.
