**Impressed with the bed, but very disappointed by the sales experience**

We recently had a home visit from an Adjustamatic salesman. We hadn’t realised beforehand that the appointment would involve a full demonstration bed being brought into our home and set up in our living room, so we were a little surprised by how involved and lengthy the visit was.

That said, the demonstration itself was informative and we were genuinely impressed with the bed. He then put together a quote for us, which came to approximately £10,800 – considerably more than we had been expecting.

Given the amount of money involved, we explained that we weren’t comfortable making an immediate decision and wanted some time to discuss it between ourselves. We also asked whether he could email the quote to us, along with a couple of alternative options that might bring the price down.

Unfortunately, this was where the whole experience changed. He seemed very unhappy that we weren’t prepared to sign there and then and questioned why we wouldn’t commit. When we explained again that it was a significant amount of money and we simply needed some time to consider it, his manner completely changed.

He then packed away the demonstration bed, which took around 10–15 minutes, without saying another word to us. As he was leaving, we asked again if he could email the quotes as we were genuinely interested in pursuing the purchase. His response was simply that he would “see”.

It was such an uncomfortable and disappointing end to what had, until that point, been a positive demonstration. We had not said no to buying the bed – quite the opposite. We simply weren’t prepared to make a £10,800 purchase on the spot without discussing it privately first.

Sadly, the attitude we experienced once it became clear there would be no immediate sale has completely put us off dealing with Adjustamatic. For a company selling such expensive products, I would expect customers to be given the time and space to make a considered decision without feeling pressured or made uncomfortable for not signing immediately.

We liked the bed, but after this experience we certainly won’t be buying one from Adjustamatic.

Spent £8000 for 2 adjustable beds, which are quite low, asked if we could have them perhaps raised, as my wife is disabled, this company wanted another £500 - £1000 to raise 5 inches. Seemingly we would need to buy new headboards. Funny this was never explained at the time.

Bed is great, delivery and installation excellent.

EXCEPT WHEN INSTRUCTING MENTION PUSH BUTTON SHOULD BE HARD AND LONG BEFORE IT WORKS. I am 84 and pushed nothing happened released presuming not connecting . There is a few seconds delay between my push and action. Which prompted a service call from me. Apologise if the guy told me it did not land in my pee brain in the right place. Needs to be last thing they repeat to ensure it registered. customer Service and sales and service engineer. Were excellent

Not very good service when the Bed brakes down i need it fixed i don't won't to wait 4 weeks to fix it when i can't sleep in it the bed doesn't reclin i can't lower it and it not very good to sleep on the sofa till u fix it

The salesperson was very polite and helpful for me to make my purchase with interest free credit too !!!

My new bed was delivered as expected & my old bed was taken away the next day. The bed is exactly what I wanted, it look great and is comfortable.

The gentlemen that came first to talk me thought with bed I need ,was very helpful and friendly. The two gentlemen that came to install the bed was great they equipped everything to me how the bed worked. I have one mina problem I do find that the mattress slips when I get in and out and when I'm making it . Not much but at the moment I can push it back but im bit worried that when I get older I my not be able to do that . Just an observation.

Excellent service - very helpful staff and particularly good operatives delivering and explanation of use

The guys who put the bed in was really nice , but the headboard was wrong , also the mattress are not good reason is because they keep moving about, when your in the bed , which isn’t good . So that’s why I am not happy.

The bed is amazing!
It's funny how your body becomes used to discomfort - so it took me a while to get accustomed to the full features. But now, after a few months, I snuggle into the mattress, and the bed supports me from top to toe. I love it!

Company keeps in touch to deal with any issues - (sometimes perhaps too many such contacts!)- but this errs on the side of positivity rather than being abandoned. Overall, the product has been most satisfactory over many years of use.

The bed is amazing. The service and promise of value top notch.
