Pros: A well presented, well packaged product. Good sound quality. Feels like a nice product.
Cons: Phone conversations in anywhere but the quietest of environments are impossible as the mic(s) pick-up all ambient sound. The first, of two headsets, I had developed a metallic rattle, and the company replaced it with a new headset under warranty. The second headset physically broke, where the ear-piece exits the battery casing and as they calculated the the warranty from date of initial purchase, and do not reset the warranty period when they replace a faulty product, the company didn't want to know. I asked to be put in touch with a supervisor, was told that one would be in touch - but have heard nothing since.
Conclusion: This is, in my opinion, a well marketed product, but of poor durability, with insufficient consideration given to how practical they might be in a real-world environment - for example, without noise cancelling microphones telephone calls are far from a good experience.
I'd be spending my money elsewhere
Don’t waste your money
Due to injuries hardly used. Just out of warranty stopped charging and volume button fell off. Contacted customer service. Who are not interested at all. Must be based internationally as replies were at 2am (GMT). I’ve wasted £150. Got some 30 quid ones off Amazon. They actually sound better!
Empty promises from customer service
Looked into other review from this site and my concerns were right.
As of late 2023, and probably also since the rebranding, they dont care for proper service. I did a few follow-ups, months apart, since the estimated wait time was supposed to be 2 weeks... And now I'm am not even getting a response.
I know how a broken product needs to be dispatched but they tried to make me throw my headphones away (I didnt) before I "received my new pair" which won't seem to happen (extremely shady).
The biggest promise I was given was that they would "send a follow-up request to their warehouse". I do not believe for a second that they intend to do anything. Disgusting practices. Refrain from buying their products.

Process convoluted, required unnecessary steps to complete. Tracked return at own expense - fine. Separately email tracking number - no one else requests this IMO.
Payment very slow, I have still to receive mine over a week after recorded delivery to their site.
Shame. Preferred to purchase direct than through Amazon whatevs. Won't make that mistake again.

Refused to honor warranty because “new” system didn’t transfer previous customer information over. That’s garbage. How is what you chose to do for software the fault of the customer and the refuse to take care of existing customers even after providing reference number for previous order and appropriate warranty information? That does not build brand loyalty or revenue. I definitely do not recommend at all. Not even sure this will be read. I’ll leave the review on trustpilot due to survey issues won’t be acknowledged. Thanks for wasting my money another failed pair of your headphones. Zero stars all around.
ROADWAVE
On October 2th 2023 I purchased the Aftershokz ROADWAVE sunglasses. 4 day latter the sunglasses right arm fell off, the locking mechanism was missing. Unsuccessful tried to call, email the support department an no one answered the phone o responded the emails. So Faye my 200 dollars sunglasses are damaged.
Warranty Claim Seems To Have Fallen Into A Black Hole
My OpenRun's developed problem less that a year after I bought them (from Shokz Website), I have filed a warranty claim over a week ago and have not heard anything from them other than the autogen email that said they'd get back to me a few business days. I sent two emails to support without a response. Thinking I am screwed out of $135 dollars.
Funny thing is I have had a warranty claim a couple of years back from a previous version and it was handled quickly and without hassles. I hope this time things work out, otherwise I am no longer a customer.

I would take my $248 and look for another brand. First pair lasted just under a year. They stopped charging. A replacement was provided easy enough as I was within my warranty period.
Second Pair lasted just over 2 years, despite not holding charge well for after about 1 year. Now after 2 years and 4 months they do not charge at all. For the amount they charge and the light usage I had them for I would've expected them to last longer. Would not buy aftershokz ever again.

Never owned up to warranty
Never owned up to warranty. Warranty was accepted, shipping label was sent, item recieved, thought the process was going smooth. Over 10 days passed and we were supposed to of gotten the item and nothing recieved. After a phone call they said it was an automated message. Another week went past and then was informed they will be here in 2-3 business days. Another week went by and then they informed me their new system to make things better for customer service and they had a shortage and blah blah blah. Now they are sending it directly from the warehouse. Another email came and this time it said 2-5 business days and it will be here. Today is day 8, Another phone call in and they said the email was sent, but nothing was really sent. She said she is not sure when it will be sent, but it will be on its way. All of this process started 7/22 and now 9/8 and we have nothing. 2-3 days was definitely not the truth and they do not stand by their warranty. The only way money will be given back is if you bought them online through their website.

The wrong item was sent to me, but the onus on returning the incorrect item was left to me. I told Shokz that I could not easily take time off work to return the item but no effort was made to help me return the item, to fix their mistake.
Quality of sound and the fit are excellent…there’s a but
Quality of sound and the fit are wonderful when it’s working properly.
They are extremely comfortable; I have small ears and cannot find a comfortable ear pod so these are excellent for this specific reason. The clear sound while being able to hear what’s happening around you is a win.
I’ve experienced multiple issues with mine where it will vibrate heavily intermittently almost trembling feeling. I did call them and they immediately sent a new pair no questions asked or follow up which makes me feel like it may be a common issue. The battery life on the “comm” set will last 2-3 hours at best of continuous use before running low and causing connection issues. I notice the “run” lasted longer 5-6 hours.
Leaving them on even between calls or while not connected to music has caused me to start experiencing ringing in my ears which I tied back directly to the headset being in idle mode.
Unfortunately for me after an 8 month trial, the ringing in my ears and the random trembling has caused concern for long term issues in the future. I hope to see an improved technology in the future. The concept is great
VERY misleading battery life promise
Bought a pair of openrun headphone recently. Battery life is quoted as being up to 8 hours on the website but they ran out after 2 from full charge. When I spoke with customer service they said that if you listen on full volume battery life is more like 2 hours. I use the headphones for cycling on the road so of course I’m going to use a high volume. Really poor advertising

I ordered new headphones (as my other pair were no longer functioning and not covered by warranty (even though within the 2 years...that's another story)
After waiting over a week and tracking to see order status was still at order placed, I contacted them to find out where my product was
The response, after 2 days, was - out of stock, would you like to cancel?-
Nobody contacted me to say there would be a delay or offer me options

J ai utilisé 4 casques Air AfterShokz.
Les 2 premiers ont cessé de fonctionner sous garantie. Et j avoue que leur service clients a été très réactif : ils m ont remplacé les 2 casques. J avoue être un peu responsable de premier problème. Je pensais que l ip55 protégeait le casque de l eau, et je l ai peut-être un peu passé sous le robinet de temps en temps…
J ai acheté le casque Air d un ami. Et cette fois, jamais je ne les ai mis en contact avec l eau. Mais au bout d un an environ, il a cessé de fonctionner : problème avec le bouton de mise en route qui reste enfoncé. Le dernier casque que j ai utilisé était le dernier changé sous garantie, Mais là, je ne l’ai utilisé que 4 mois. Puis rien d autre que des grésillements à la mise en route.
J ai fait plusieurs mails au service clients pour demander ce qu il pouvait se passer. Mais aucune réponse à aucun de mes mails! Ce n est pas normal, pas correct. Et dans le même temps, j ai reçu une publicité pour un casque à conduction osseuse d un des concurrents , avec 50% de réduction, donc bien moins cher, et qui est en plus complètement étanche IX86, je crois, ce qui signifie qu on peut nager avec, et qui stocke aussi des fichiers musicaux, en plus de l utilisation Bluetooth.
Fini AfterShok pour moi!

20 days and counting no product
Placed an order on the 8th of this month and when I had not received tracking information by the 17th I emailed the company and was told my order hadn't been sent because there was low stock (product still being sold online claiming to post in 2 to 3 days though) & my order would be in the mail that week, a week later still no tracking so I emailed the same person back again, this time I was told to check i hadn't received my order as it had been delivered on the 13th, 4 days before my first email when they claimed not to have had stock. Even had attached Australia post tracking information that showed a package being sent from my state to the wrong town in a completely different state and arriving on the 13th. I wrote a reply email outlining my issues earlier tonight and am waiting on the companys response
