the worst customer service I've ever encountered. They say it's multi functional however the customer service can't even figure out how to make that work. I spent over 3.5 hours with them on the phone and requested a supervisor after I was on hold for 55 min waiting. He called back and after 12 min said has was off work and had to leave, said he would call back the next day and he never called or had anyone else try to reach me. I called again and was on the phone with another customer service agent she was very nice and couldn't figure out the same situation so I waited for another 70 min for another supervisor the previous agent came back and said she would call me right back and never heard from her or anyone. It's been over 4 days. Very upsetting and frustrating when you have customer service who is so ignorant and could care less about their business ethics. I would never buy anything from them again
so upsetting and will continue on every site to let others know to stay away from this company. They could care less about their job and helping customers. They made my life miserable so I'm going to post on every site and my 100, 000 Instagram followers, and my 1.3 million FB. Let others know it's not multi-functional, and the fit with the open comm is awful since they made one size for men, since the frame that goes around in the back sticks out 3.5 inches and is very uncomfortable when you put on a jacket or a shirt, or you have long hair it puts pressure on your ear and temple area, and makes it very uncomfortable gives me a headache, and hurts. my last words are Stay Away ...Stay Away...Stay Away!!!!!!!
OpenSwim keep breaking, Awful Customer Service. STAY AWAY!
Wife purchased OpenSwim headphones for me for a Christmas present in 2019. I only use them to run due to their storage capacity. Have never swum.in them. They started to play-up within their warranty with what seemed a loose connection between the headphone on the right and the band. We also, had COVID lockdown so they hadn't been used a great deal during this period. Took ages of arguing back and forth including having tonsend videos ofbthe issue for Shokz to finally offer to send a new pair in a box with a sticker stating 2 year warranty.
Less than 18 months later and the new pair have the same issue and have simply stopped working. Not charging, not turning on, dead.
Contacted Shokz customer services, same issues as the first. Taking no ownership of the issue. Informing me that the new headphones warranty did not start again and were only covered by the original warranty.
Crazy that a company doesn't trust its own products enough to honour a new warranty on a new pair of thei headphones.
They even started to send me screenshots from doccuments they received from theirnlawyers regarding my case. On looking at the screenshots it was obvious it was regarding another case as the dates were a year ago and theybhad blanked out a name that could be made out was not mine. I pointed this out and they offered me a 15% then after again arguing further a 20% discount on yet another pair of OpenSwim.
Headphones seem great at first, but cannot be trusted to continue to work. Customer services are awful. STAY AWAY !!!!!!!
Cheap rubbish
My first pair lasted just over a year, replaced under warranty. Second pair lasted less than 6 months. Cheap rubbish, dont bother. Just more junk to go to landfill.
Be wary about purchasing - Warranty will not cover the replacment
I purchased an AfterShokz Titanium Bone Conduction Wireless Bluetooth Headphone Ocean Blue from Amazon on 12/9/2020 (I have the receipt). In 5/2022 it just went dead and would not charge, so I filed a Warranty claim and received another headset in May 2022 (different than the one I originally purchased: they sent me an Aftershokz Open Move Titanium Bone Conduction Wireless Bluetooth Headphones, Elevation Blue, Model AS660 Serial Number: S6601220061710 - not certain if it was new of refurbished). Now, in less than a year, on 3/17/2023 the Open Move Headphones also went dead with minimal usage.
I contacted AfterShokz Customer Service (the Customer Happiness Maker, as they call them) and they told me that there is no Warranty for the Replacement Headphone, but that they would give me a 20% discount on a new headset.
This is not acceptable to me. The replacement headset was barely used, and it has been less than a year that I had it. I filed a case on 3/24/2023 but never heard back from anyone.
The sad thing is that when they work, these are great headphones. The initial ones that I purchased from QVC in 2019 are still working (Trekz Air by AfterShokz). I purchased a second set so I had a spare.
I am left with a "dead" Aftershokz Open Move Titanium Bone Conduction Wireless Bluetooth Headphones, Elevation Blue, Model AS660 Serial Number: S6601220061710. So unfortunate. I am not buying another pair even with an offer of a 20% discount.
Therefore, would be wary about purchasing these headphones.

The product is ok but I was mislead by their size recommendation tool and they refuse to make an exchange. So I'm now stuck with a product which is too big for me... Not sure how you can have such a poor customer service
The headphones are worth the money and…
The headphones are worth the money and their customer service is awesome. I've had several pairs of aftershokz over the years, and they don't disappoint. My most recent pair broke, so I submitted a claim. They responded within a day and had a brand new pair shipped off by the second day. It took the headphones 3 days to reach me and I was floored to see that they provided a brand new upgraded pair of headphones. I can't be more satisfied with Shokz and their customer service.
Costeffective/ Easy to connect/ Love it
I have been using this product for over one year. And feel great about it. The battery lasts enough for me; it meets my daily needs. I often wear it when working (lower its sound so it won't disturb others. ) and run. It's excellent when running. I have been suffering from otitis media for a long; I can quickly get it if I wear earphones for a long time, but I do need music and an audiobook, so the AfterShokZ releases my ears. So the rest tiny demerits are all acceptable!

Expensive But They Don't Last Very Long
Although quite expensive they are great headphones, or at least they were for the first couple of years. Then a few weeks ago, the left side started to rattle and shortly after, so did the right-hand side. Apparently, this is a very common problem and the company say they cannot be repaired. Of course, they are now out of warranty, so I will be forced to make a diy repair. Not what you expect when you spend a lot of money for a product. I cannot recommend them due to an obvious defect in manufacturing or materials.

Bought these because of the satisfaction guarantee, felt that I could try the product and return if I didn't like, given that its a unique type of headphone.
NOT a fan, and the company refuses to return the items because I purchased from a 3rd party (who also refuses to return), so don't be fooled by "satisfaction guarantee".
What I don't like:
-Even with open ears, I'm not more aware of my surroundings as the noise is close enough to my ears that I can't hear other sounds that clearly, yet they are loud enough to dull the sound of the headphones. So essentially, not loud enough and doesn't make me more aware of outside noises. When I ride subway, I can't hear music at all because subway is too loud.
-Purchased mini headphones, but the back bar still hangs off my head too far and is uncomfortable and gets in the way. I run in winter and have to wear headband or hat, and its hard to wear over the Shokz headset.
-Sound quality is okay. Nothing to write home about.
-Every time you press a button, it makes annoying loud beep.
Only thing I like is that they stay in place while running, unlike some earbuds that come out of ears.
But overall I regret this purchase quite a lot.
Customer Service Lies.
I had a pair of aftershokz that quit charging due to the common problem of a break at one side of the back head strap. I was assured they would send me another charging cord, they didn't. Then when i realized it wasn't the charging cord that was the issue I was assured they would send me a new pair of headphones which once again they did not. I have screenshots from the emails where I was told these items were on their way. Very dissapointed with the company after paying so much for a pair. 0 stars.
Poor Customer Service
Poor Customer Service. The product is worth the steep price. However, their customer service does not exist-there is a phone number which you can call (737-215-4011), but the person on the other end has no access to your account if you need a change of shipping address or need to cancel your order. The person supposedly will contact another person (whom the consumers do not have contact) so this process takes triple the time to get any help, if you get any at all.

After reading some of the reviews I was worried when I recently had to put in a warranty claim for my Shokz Open Move headphones. I purchased them in July 2022, and after very regular use in all conditions they finally would not charge up following a run Thursday 2nd Feb 2023. I had kept my warranty registration card and the receipt from when I had pruchased them, so popped on to their website and put a claim in through the online form. I rceived my replacement headphones, no questions asked on the 8th February 2023. Needless to say I'm very pleased with the customer service. I think the key thing to note is keep your warranty card and receipt, and use the online warranty claim form as it greatly speeds up the claims process!
Stand behind their products
I've had several of Aftershokz headphones. They give good service and the functions all work well. But when something goes wrong is when you need a company that stands behind their products. This company is responsive to problems and really stands behind their warranty. You are creating a trusting relationship when you buy from them. Not that I've had so many problems, but when I have they have sent replacements with a graciousness you don't always expect from companies these days.

Openrun headphones. I should have paid more attention to all the reports of poor customer service. I bought a pair for my husband for Xmas. The headphones will not charge. I have made a warranty claim via the website. I have emailed their customer service. Absolutely no response. I purchased these direct from Shokz so I don't have a retailer to return them to. There is no phone number anywhere on the planet to find this company. Their warranty and their returns policy are worthless. We now have a very expensive piece of plastic and feel very ripped off. For anyone planning to buy these headphones- just don't. Pay attention to how many customers are unhappy. UPDATE: 26/1/23 I finally got a response from Shokz and a warranty replacement after 3 emails and this review over a couple of weeks. The communication was limited, and I assume from a China office. I wasn't 100% certain that a replacement was going to be made. Knowing what I know now about the product I would have preferred a refund. Despite the guarantees of a 30 day money back that looks hard to achieve. For purchasers pay attention to the instructions, particularly the bit that tells you the maximum amps and watts of the charging. For us it means we can only charge via a PC and only our very very old iPhone power blocks are low enough wattage to be suitable. Also found a mention of the risk of battery failure if you leave them on charge overnight. Google "aftershocks headphones do s and donts" for more detail on these points ( you should end up on a Shokz blog page).
In future I will only buy from an Australian retailer where I have consumer rights and have someone I can talk to. Buying direct from the manufacturer who doesn't appear to have an Australian point of contact makes it very hard to resolve issues.

Unfortunately my headphones are only 10 months old ans the left side is cracking and not holding a charge iam trying to get a replacement but seems like it’s a act of god also do they make a in ear head set

After 11 months of a lot of use, my Aftershokz headphones decided they didn't want to turn back on even though they were fully charged! As they were still under warranty I contacted customer services, they emailed back very quickly asking for my proof of purchase. Once everything was confirmed they dispatched a new pair immediately! Fantastic service.

I love this product and worked hard to get my issue resolved (Like so many others the left ear piece started rattling just before the 2 years was up). After numerous emails and having to track down peoples personal emails I managed to get a response and it was resolved. A new headset was sent and I am delighted to say I am working again with a great headset. Thank you for resolving this.
Unreliable Openrun Mini and poor customer service
I bought the Openrun mini at an overseas sports exhibition in Amsterdam. Although it is claimed to have up to 8 hours of usage, the headphones would automatically turned off after slightly more than an hour of use, despite having charged it fully. This happened twice in less than 3 weeks since I have bought it. When I tried to turn it back on, it would pair and play music for about a minute or so before turning off again.
I have reached out to the customer service at Shokz which has turned out to be rather unhelpful and slow to respond. Initially they asked me to return to the original seller, which I had explained that I am unable to do so since I bought them whilst overseas. I am currently based in the UK but will be moving to asia soon. Secondly they asked for video evidence. Having only own one phone like most people, i found it really difficult to film the headphones out of action when its the same phone I am trying to pair and play music with. And I only use the headphones when I’m out for a run so it is not possible to carry a second phone even if I do own one.
Poor customer service aside, the Shokz products are simply not reliable, despite how amazing the technology sound. One should be suspicious when the solution to several of the troubleshooting scenarios is to file a warranty claim. Clearly, this company is aware of how faulty the Openrun products can be, yet their customer service are doing nothing to reassure their customers. Initially, i just wanted to get another replacement but right now, all I want is my money back. It has been such an awful experience.
