I am in Lusaka, Republic of Zambia and a family member gave me the details of Air Saffar under the care of Mr. Stive and from the office I managed to get all the information and buy the tickets for myself and my family, he made my life easier and gave all the privileges to make the payment even from the office. Vijay started calling me after I put a flight ticket search on the company website. Very friendly and helpful initially, but became quite persistent and impatient to wait for my decision.
When he told me that he's was the best price and if I don't at least pay £50 to hold the ticket, I may lose a good chance, I decided to pay the amount. I ended up not buying the ticket because over £3,000 was still too expensive for me, my wife and 9 year old daughter to fly out to Southern Africa in August 2023. I thought I'll still shop around. This was in March. Again in May Vijay gave me a quote which was slightly lower than the 1st and told me the same thing , to pay another £50 to hold the price. All the while he assured me that the money I pay is mine and will be available to me when I eventually buy the ticket. I didn't give it much of a thought because I genuinely believed I'd buy the ticket from him.
In the end I got our tickets from another travel website that offered me a better deal, about £300 less than Vijay could get. They were not very happy, but neither was I, so I left the money with them and told Vijay I'll buy 2 of my older daughter's tickets from him. One between JHB and WHK, and the other between Warsaw and LDN.
I kept my word and ask him for the quotes, which were a bit more than other agencies, but refundable as he explained and I took them. the tickets together was £488. I paid £388 because they already had my £100. A day or two later I only received a confirmation and ticket for one trip. This was the ticket for £237 between JHB and WHK. When I asked about the other ticket, I was put through to his manager who was explaining to me that the airline was not confirming the ticket, which means that the flight might be cancelled and therefore we have to book another flight. I said that's fine as long as it is my chosen dates, same fair, and more or less similar times I don't have a problem. The manager came back to me with different dates that didn't suit me, and on top of it asking me to pay an extra £70 to buy the ticket. I told him I'm not paying a dime more and I went onto Ryanair web and got a ticket for about £100 cheaper and on my preferred dates. I bought the ticket and told Air Saffar to please refund my £251 they owed me.
Air Saffer only refunded £151 and refuse to refund the £100 that I paid them earlier, despite having the proof in theirs and mine accounts that the payment was made. They claim that the £100 was paid to the airline and the airline is only giving them a voucher to use at a later stage.
This people are desperate to hang on to my money and make sure that I buy a ticket from them at some future date, despite knowing that they're not able to give best deals.
My warning is, never pay any money to this scammers unless you sure you are buying the ticket, because you never gonna get the money back as cash if you pay to "hold" a price.
I am reviewing avenues to take the case further and get my money refunded.

The Politeness, Patience and Dedication to finding a flight that would suit a family traveling with children was just the icing on the cake.
I will definitely use them again. I recommend anyone in doubt to trusting a stranger to have put their trust in them.
