We were half an hour early for our bus from Himarë to vlorë . The station is just a gas station, so we waited for over an hour in the sun. We got a refund, but nobody answered any of our request, the WhatsApp Konto linked as customer service didn't respond.
Poor experience overall

It is truly a pleasure to share my experience regarding this exceptional offering. Everything about the service provided exceeded my expectations in every possible way. I was particularly impressed by the high level of care and attention to detail that went into every aspect. It is rare to encounter such a consistently positive and professional atmosphere during an interaction. I would highly recommend this to anyone seeking a reliable and high-quality solution.

That simple description of durres Central bus station is a recipe for disaster. That can easily be interpreted as the common large bus station in downtown. Anybody buying tickets for a long distance bus Should promptly be emailed Or texted A map or a link to a map for the actual station , which is well away from downtown.

The bus ride is cheap, but the customer service is terrible. The staff argued and were rude with several customers on the bus for asking clarifying questions. There isn’t a real structure/understanding of how to do things, and the buses are mostly late with there being a lack of communication.

⭐ 1/5 – Worst Bus Journey I Have Ever Experienced

I had an extremely bad experience travelling with AlbanianBus from Tirana to Sarandë.

Our journey departed Tirana at around 5:30 AM. I had specifically booked a ticket from Tirana to Sarandë, and there was absolutely no mention on my ticket of visiting the Blue Eye.

Halfway through the journey, the guide suddenly told us that we were going to the Blue Eye. When I asked why, as this was not included in my booking, he responded very rudely and told me that if I didn’t like it, he could leave me in the middle of the road. This was completely unacceptable and extremely unprofessional.

Things got even worse when the bus broke down. We were left waiting for more than an hour in very hot weather until another bus arrived. Instead of taking us directly to Sarandë, we were taken to the Blue Eye, even though this was never part of our booking.

Because I had not planned to visit the Blue Eye, I then had to wait there for approximately another two hours in the sun before continuing the journey.

After all of this, instead of finally taking us to Sarandë as stated on our tickets, the guide took us to Ksamil. When we tried to ask why we had been taken to the wrong destination, he was rude again and simply left us there.

We were therefore forced to arrange our own transport from Ksamil to Sarandë and paid approximately €30 for a taxi.

A journey that was advertised as taking around 5 hours ended up taking approximately 12 hours. We experienced an unexpected change of itinerary, a bus breakdown, hours of waiting in the heat, extremely rude treatment from the guide, an unwanted trip to the Blue Eye, and finally being left in Ksamil instead of our booked destination of Sarandë.

This was by far one of the worst travel experiences I have ever had. I paid for transportation from Tirana to Sarandë, but the service I received was completely different from what I booked.

Based on my personal experience, I would not use this company again.

The trip was very unconfortable. The time of departure was wrong, we left 1.30 hour late and my Seat was broken, I couldn’t sit straight because it was banding foward
Also, with 40 degree outside, inside the bus te a/c wasn’t working and the bus was full so basically the temperature outside was lower then the temperature inside.
Finally, The website Said that we’d arrive in Saranda from Tirana in 5 Hours, But in reality it took all day, we left the airport of Tirana at 10.30 and we arrived in Saranda at 18.
I highly raccomend to everyone to not take this bus.

It was the most worst bus journey i have ever had. There was no AC for a 6 hours of travel at 36 degree temperature. The whole bus kept complaining but no one from the authorities bothered. Also the counter manager issued 2 tickets for the same seat, when complained he tried not responding. I had to ask him 5 times and his response was like- ‘Sit anywhere”.
I’d never go back Albania again only because of this bus.

Do not book here, the transfer between Berat and Gjirokaster never showed up and price is double what is normally asked on site!

I took the bus from Vlora to Borsh on Sept 14th, 2026 at 11:30 AM. The driver's behavior was a nightmare. 30 minutes into the ride, he took a break, turned off the engine and the AC, and left 25 passengers trapped inside the blazing hot bus for over 30 minutes at noon. At my destination, he almost missed my stop. Instead of dropping me off at the center, he forced me out on the side of a road outside the town, saying "not today" and claiming there were taxis around the corner. There were none, and he refused to call one. I had to walk 1.5 hours in extreme heat with heavy luggage to reach the center.On a positive note: After filing a complaint, the customer service reacted within minutes via WhatsApp. They informed me that this was the second complaint about this driver today and stated they will take strong action to terminate his contract. I highly appreciate this quick responses and hope they follow through to protect future travelers. Good support, but a catastrophic ride.

Very disappointing experience with Albanianbus.com.

My friend and I had been trying to book our tickets online for three days because the website was not working properly. We finally managed to book our tickets approximately 10 hours before departure.

We were told we would travel directly from Teth to Tirana, but instead we had to change buses at a stop between Teth and Tirana. There were not enough seats on the second bus, and we were left waiting while the company tried to find a solution. This was also where the company’s office was located.

Unfortunately, the worst part was the behaviour of one female staff member — a petite, slim woman with short black hair, whose name I unfortunately do not know. She was extremely confrontational, spoke to me in a raised and aggressive tone, and turned a service problem into a personal argument.

When I explained that the situation was the company’s responsibility, she repeatedly said, “It’s not my fault, honey,” and then told me that if we had booked only one hour before departure, we should not have booked at all. I explained that we had NOT booked one hour before — we had booked approximately 10 hours before departure. She continued arguing and saying things like, “If I wasn’t here, another company wouldn’t even arrange a taxi for you,” as if she was doing us a personal favour.

I reminded her that she may be an employee, but I am a paying customer and deserve to be treated with basic respect. Her aggressive tone and intimidating attitude were completely inappropriate for someone working in customer service.

The taxi we were eventually given did not even take us to the agreed destination. We were dropped off before the city centre and had to walk the remaining distance with our luggage.

Unexpected problems can happen, but there is absolutely no excuse for treating customers this way. I have already advised several friends not to use Albanianbus.com, and after this experience, I will never use this company again.

I booked a tour and received something completely different.
- we were picked up an hour earlier than we were meant to be
- ⁠we were not in the transport type we booked
- ⁠we stopped multiple times which was not what we booked
- ⁠we arrived to Ksamil 3 hours after our scheduled arrival
- ⁠the driver said my name and checked my booking and still did not tell us.
This is not what we booked and I recommend you do not travel with Albanian Bus. If we had flights we were trying to get to they would have been missed.

This is a scam company. I booked return tickets from Tirana to Berat via 12Go. Both buses failed to appear. When I contacted their customer services they confirmed a different pick up location from the one clearly shown and stated on the ticket. For the return trip, they claimed the bus departed 30 mins before the scheduled departure time.

Then they just blocked me and refused to engage. 12Go were useless and refused to provide a refund for services not provided.

We booked a ride from Durres to Saranda. We waited dor over 2 hours for the bus but it was a no show.
I tried to call their number, no answer, I tried to message them via whats app, no answer. They saw my messages but didn't reply. Insted they blocked my number. My wife also tried to contact them via whats app, but when they noticed that she's my wife, they ignored her to. In the end we had to take a taxi to Sarande.
Do NOT use or trust this company!

The driver was cool, he was patient with us, and because we were the first ones there we could see that he really tried to get hold of two people who hadn't shown up. The minivan was not the newest but it had aircon and good music. The ride felt safe and we had plenty of stops on the way from Tirana to Sarandë. Though it worked out better for us in the end, I appreciate that this could have been a real issue for someone in a different situation to ours. We did not hear back about the pick up location in Tirana until the evening before the journey after desperately calling and messaging the operator. Then in the night we were told that our trip was cancelled and we were given a time slot 1-2 h later from a different location. As mentioned, this was actually better for us, but it could have turned bad for someone else if they had other bookings or commitments. I was somewhat prepared to be "surprised" and therefore didn't necessarily expect perfect execution.

SCAM! We booked a regular bus ride from Tirana to Saranda—and were completely ripped off. Instead of going straight to our destination, we were herded—without being asked—onto a 1.5-hour “excursion” to the Blue Eye that nobody had booked. As if that weren’t enough, we were simply dumped in the middle of the road just before Saranda—no bus station, no announcement, nothing. Not a word about “customer service,” no explanation, no apology. We almost missed our ferry!
This has nothing to do with a reputable bus company; it’s a pure rip-off at the expense of unsuspecting tourists. Stay away from albanianbus.com!!! Such a SCAM!

I booked a bus from Tirana airport to Saranda at 5am.
We had to pick a bus from airport to city center at 5am (that was not listed when we book) and then another bus.
That second bus was in fact a one way tour that stopped in Blue Eye and Castle in Sarande (again not mentioned when we bought the tickets).
Not a good surprise, our flight arrived at 1am, so we didnt sleep that night. We just wanted to get to the hotel, not to make a tour without sleeping

0 Star is my review. I bought online tickets from Durres to Saranda, while getting to the bus, the driver said that there is no seats for us and if we want we go sit on the floor or not go… Shit Company. Never choose it!

We bought 2 ticket from durres to saranda. We also asked to the assistance service if we were in the correct location since it wasn't written anywhere and we were. We waited under the sun for a while, we signaled the bus driver to stop, but he just passed by. Ticket not refaundable, we had to take a taxi till there. Never again.
