Terrible workmanship, shabby garage and owner

Changed the hood in Dec 2023 (it took them 2 months and the car would still be there if I had not chased!). To cut a long story short, avoid at all costs. After various problems appearing (dimister not working as they forgot to connect it, water leak in the boot, clunking noise started in Feb 24) and a few coming and going to the garage I gave up, the last time Brian said they had fixed the clunking noise when actually made it worse! So I took the car to another garage, they changed the hood and in doing so realised the extent of how badly it had been done the first time. All Hoods managed to break the frame of the car amongst other faults and am lucky that the 2nd garage managed to make it good. Oh, and they used the car whilst it was there! Got caught on ULEZ camera...
So DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE unless you want bad workmanship or a place to park your car for months without having to pay for parking! There are other hood replacement garages which can do the job in 2 days. I wished I had looked at the reviews beforehand but they were the first to come up and were "fairly" local.

my Vw classic beetle

I just wanted to write a review as I was happy with quality of work but however when I turned up at all hoods. Brian meet me and my dad and quoted me £2000 to do my roof and headliner so I told him that is my limit. I can’t go over that to which he text me saying deal.
So after one week I visited my car only to find not much had been done in one week and Brian told me when they removed my front windscreen it smashed but he told me I would have to pay for that, which I think is wrong as they broke it not me
Also when I collected my car Brian said are you paying cash I said no it will be card then he said that I would have to pay VAT so what I was quoted when I first came £2000 should have included VAT so total I paid 520 more than I should of done
Make sure you get a price including vat and careful of the add ons it is a shame because I have lost the trust of this place I will be taking this further unless Brian can refund me the £520 that I don’t think I should of paid extra

I bought a hood from All Hoods for my…

I bought a hood from All Hoods for my Mazda mx5 NA and had a serious problem with delivery. It was a huge issue but All Hoods stood by me and sorted it out with the courier company. This evening I sent a simple enquiry about how to treat my soft top and Brian, the head honcho gets on the phone to me at 9.30pm. I had only sent an e mail but he is phoning me in Ireland to tell me all I need to know. I was impressed with their customer service when I ran into problems with the couriers but now I am totally blown away with their dedication to their customers. I would wholeheartedly recommend this family run business to everybody

Zero stars !!!!!!

Zero stars !!!!!!! I would not recommend the services advertised by Brian or All hoods Ltd. In 2019 I needed a replacement hood material for my R52 cabriolet Mini one convertible. I drove over 300 miles to have the work completed. Following the works completion I have had repeated issues with the hood which include -
•poor workmanship when fitting the hood which has ruined the aesthetics of my car
• hood material not fit for purpose; when it rains the hood becomes saturated with water which causes damp
•condensation and leaking issues, this impacts the inside of the car including causing electrical issues.
• issues with upholstery due to poorly fitted hood

After repeatedly trying to resolve the issue directly with Brian, he went out of his way to attempt to belittle and discredit me and not acknowledge my genuine issues caused by All hoods . As a result I took Brian to court, he was represented by a solicitor, I represented myself and was successful, I was awarded my money back as well as court fees.

It took Brian two years to address my issue. This is the most unprofessional experience i have had as a consumer. If you want years of issues and to waste your money then these are the people for you.
And just to add further insult, I requested a bacs refund by the court given specified date, Brian has conveniently informed me that he has sent me a cheque (not received as of yet) to prolong paying me in an attempt to annoy me. Fortunately I’ll be having the last laugh, as you are not above the law !

Rang for an enquiry and spoke to Brian who was basically rude. Not sure how they actually get any customers, I tried to explain what the problem with the vehicle was and Brian spoke over me and had no intention of listening just saying how much a new roof was, which is not what I need.
Oh well looks like I’ll go to their competition. Very unimpressed, if your day is that bad don’t answer the door phone.

new headliner to my citroen DS pallas

ALL HOODS CONFIRMED THAT THEY COULD RENEW THE HEADLINER COMPLETE WITHOUT REMOVING THE ROOF PANEL [IT IS BOLTED ON BUT A REAL PAIN TO GET WATER TIGHT AFTER BEING DISTURBED]
I HAD A TRIP TO PARIS AN LEVANE BOOKED SO WAS ON A DEADLINE. I WAS VERY PLEASED TO RECEIVE A CALL TO SAY MY CAR WAS READY 3 DAYS BEFORE THE DUE DATE.
THANK YOU FOR A GREAT JOB LOOKS LIKE IT JUST CAME OUT OF THE FACTORY.

Impossible to deal with

9 months and an unfixed car. Be very careful of Allhoods. I will let the facts speak so that you know what you can expect from this disgraceful place -

- Dropped of my car here on 10 February 2022 with a sunroof leak and tilt problem. I briefed the main person 'Brian' about this and he said that he would fix it.

- One month goes on, no call received to update. I called to enquire and I was told that car has not been looked at.

- Two months goes on, no call received to update. I called to enquire and I was told that car has not been looked at.

- I gently and extremely reasonably kept calling for an update on the work ONCE EVERY MONTH until September. Not once had I received any call from the company for an update.

-When I used to call, Brian used to be very condecising, extremely rude and always used harsh language as to why I was asking him for an update. I believe I as a customer have every right to ask what is happening with my car.

- Never once was I given a helpful update or a timeframe.

- I was told when I called again in September that they had now looked at the roof and that it was destroyed, headlining ripped and sunroof handle broken. My car was in mint condition when I brought it in and all these damages were caused by Allhood. It is as though the work was carried out by an extremely untrained novice technician or a 6 year old let loose.

- I was told that they required these broken parts. I immediately sourced the required replacement parts myself at MY cost and supplied them to Allhoods the very NEXT day.

- October passed still no update.

- Due to no updates, no care and any lack of progress even after 9 months, I called in November and said that I would collect my car in AS IS condition.

- I picked my unfinished car up in pieces on 9 November 2022. At the garage, I was told by Brian that my type of people are very impatient. I am not making any accusations and dont like to describe what I was called but this kind of language is a criminal offence. 9 Months is not a short period of time in ANY sense.

- I took my car to an alternative garage on 9 November 2022 for this sunroof repair and car was carefully fixed and ready to pick up on 15 November 2022. That is less than 3 working days on the car from start to finish. Allhoods could not be bothered to do this in 9 months.

----Conclusions----
1. Car interior drenched since they did not cover the sunroof in their posession. No care to customers vehicles.

2. Bodywork scrarched in many places in their possesion. Headling ripped and sunroof handle broken. I can only put this down to incapable and/or untrained technicians who lack technical ability and care.

3. 9 full months without my car and summer wasted.

4. Extremely rude, unhelpful and bad behaviour by Brian over the phone. Disrespectful.

5. No proactive updates ever, no phonecall received in 9 months. No completion timeframe given. No customer service.

6. Derogatory casual language used by Brian regarding 'my sort of people'.This is 2022 in London. Very surprising and borderline criminal.

7. Garage incapable to carry out work from start to finish or at any fronts. Unprofessional.

8. I had once been told that if I ever ask for an update, the bill will end up huge. Dirty tactics.

9. After speaking to a few people recently, I have come to the realisation that Allhoods has messed up other people in a similar manner to myself.

Do your health and your prized possession a favour and take your car elsewhere. DO NOT waste your time and get spoken to with derogatory unprofessional language here.

You may very well end up in a perpetual loop like myself at this place. You have been warned.

What can I say the team at all hoods were so helpful and the service was second to none
I’m sooo pleased with my new hood and can’t wait to use it this summer thank you to Brian and the team
