APM Employment Services
I initially left a positive review for APM Employment Services because at the time I genuinely felt supported. The local staff are respectful and this has never been about personal conflict.
However, over the past nine months, my experience has progressively deteriorated due to what appears to be systemic failures within the service.
In that time, I have been assigned three different employment consultants with little to no explanation or continuity. This lack of consistency has made it extremely difficult to engage meaningfully with the service.
Importantly, everything I have achieved during this period — including job applications, interviews, and work-related progress — has been done independently. I have not received meaningful support from APM in achieving these outcomes.
My concerns were escalated across multiple levels of management, including senior and independent complaint channels. Despite this, there was no meaningful resolution, no clear accountability, and no direct engagement with the detailed information and evidence I provided.
There appears to be a significant gap between what APM promotes — such as reducing barriers and providing participant-focused support — and what is actually delivered in practice.
After exhausting internal pathways, I was ultimately advised to take my complaint to an external body.
This is not a reflection of frontline staff, but rather a serious concern about how the service is managed at a systemic level.
Based on my experience, I would strongly urge anyone considering APM to carefully evaluate whether this service will provide the level of consistency, communication, and genuine support they expect.

Call attitude was unorganised, tonedeff and unapologetic.
Call escalated and stated volunteer program doesn't exist without workforce australia, while true. I requested minimum service delivery information be stored which was rejected and against the Privacy Act.
They were also unable to list what information would be collected or tell me about the SEA program besides linking me their website, which doesn't tell me much but reiterate the official government website.
They refused to accept that a workforce australia account can be created without linking to centrelink. This is known as the volunteer path.
They are also the ones required to create my workforce australia account but wouldn't help with that besides direct me to the workforce australia website for me to organise.

So basically all you're getting is a smooth non delivering taller, who will leave you to do all the hard work finding something, and get paid.
Can't help but wonder if this on purpose?? I.e. don't place someone until they fall into a certain payment tier for length signed up?

I have been unable to contact the person handling my case, and have not a had a response to the APM support team - after WEEKS and multiple attempts.
I have received constant emails and txts advising me of phone appointments, but no one EVER CALLS... what is going on ??
I have ABSOLUTELY NO SUPPORT, after recently recovering from being bashed and with ptsd issues - this has been pathetic !!!
My first case manager was a recovering junky who was USELESS and went on stress leave, and the second woman was based in Darwin and doubt if she was even qualified !!
I have tried to get funding for my ochre card and police check but said they wouldn't do as contract finished 1st November.... even though I requested 6 weeks ago.
Now I have no provider and are sitting here FURIOUS

They are lazy and don't do what they say they will do. All this talk when you come in for the initial appointment about how much they will help you but they're evidently dragging me through their system to make $300 per appointment from Centrelink. They have not helped me and clearly have no interest in helping me. These private companies claiming they are 'job providers' when they actually do nothing but decide if you're getting paid.

Would not advise on engaging with this company ..little to no support , refused help for further study, all they were concerned about was getting government funding ...we are just a number to them. Highly stressful !!

I have just moved my son to another provider,because Apm haven't helped him at all. My son has sourced all his own jobs himself.They got him a trial run at Bob Janes Tyres and tried to get him to do 2 days work for free. By Law they can only get you to do 1 to 3 hours trial run without pay,after 3 hours you have to be paid or it falls under Unfair Work Practice. Company didn't follow work practice for required breaks and trial run.They keep suspending his payments unnecessarily because he won't sign Job Plan or give his payslips.They only want pay slips to claim a bonus called OUTCOME PAYMENT PLAN. Which they collect 4 weeks, 12 weeks,6 months, 9 months and 12 months.They always try and bribe you with fuel vouchers. They don't give you anything they just look after themselves.They will also try and get you to sign "Employment Hours Confirmation Document requirement of the Program"so they can use this to take the claim (the last thing they can try.) IF YOU SOURCED YOUR OWN JOB YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SIGN ANYTHING OR GIVE THEM YOUR PAYSLIPS. Sorry APM you gave us nothing so returned the same.

Beautiful buses the driver has a good service but timing is worse and also delays of exchanging passengers to other buses ,I would never recommend them to anyone

Horrible employment service provider
Horrible employment service provider. Unprofessional. Multiple clients called to appointment at same time. Lined up on chairs and made to wait for long periods. Staff member comes out and randomly chooses next in line for interview. They try to push everyone into a cleaning job. Overheard a number of clients being referred for cleaning.
During COVID outbreak I contracted covid even though I was vaccinated. Staff of APM Employment Services Torrensville in SA were forcing me to attend an appointment despite minimum recommended isolation time 2 weeks, in a week. Staff member wouldn’t budge when asked to give full 2 weeks. They told me I already had 5 days since getting infected. I was extremely sick and bedridden for 5 days. Couldn’t even get up to eat. They still didn’t care. I then asked to be transferred to an alternate service provider.
I saw the manager of APM Nambucca today…
I saw the manager of APM Nambucca today and asked why they are not available for appointments when I have been reliable in turning up. The office is closed or if a phone appointment they don’t call. The last phone appointment didn’t happen, waited an hour then I sent a message, their response was they had a walk in. When I came in and asked why this kept happening the attitude was unprofessional with excuses. The regular employment officer offloaded her issues every appointment I did have. Also stating that most of her clients go in for freebies then stated I know your not like that to me. Also saying how she can pick them from a mile away. Why tell me your problems with other clients? Today after giving the manager feedback, he said well we have an appointment on such and such date coming up, no apology. I said thank you and left the office. The manager then came out of his office following me up the street yelling abuse at me about how he doesn’t appreciate my feedback. He wouldn’t leave me alone harassing me in the street. He then said come back to the office to sort it out? I will be reporting to the ombudsman. I hope another client doesn’t get treated in this way.

I have serious health issues. Apm, Brittany, is always very nice, on top of everything and seems she genuinely cares and does what she can while making sure the rules are followed. Need more like her.

Bullying of terminally ill pensioner by APM Bondi…
I am terminally ill and had a very traumatising experience at the hands of a bullying case manager from APM Bondi Junction. Despite the case manager having knowledge of my illnesses, he attempted to pressure me into cutting short a holiday I was on with my daughter by insisting that I present myself at APM Bondi Junction the day before I was due to fly home under threat of being reported to Workforce Australia for non-compliance and have my pension cut off. That is despite my having explained previous to this threat that I had been providing medical certificates for 5 years which had exempted me from having to work, and that I had received an exemption from providing medical certificates on 28/07/2024 by Centrelink in which the person who phoned me advised me that I was entitled to a full disability pension from the time that I had become terminally ill and had also advised me that I should apply for that full pension and that it would be a formality to have it approved because my illness is terminal. The case manager claimed that he worked for Workforce Australia (a lie), and that he couldn't get me an appointment after I had returned from the holiday as it was "out of my hands" (also a lie). When I phoned from Tasmania at 9.00am to cancel that days 10.30am appointment and again alerting the case manager that I could attend a meeting the morning after I returned, and that I would be getting a medical certificate from my doctor prior to the meeting and presenting it to Centrelink which would immediately cancel that meeting anyway, the case manager continued to bully me and claimed that he would "do me a big favour and give me a meeting for the following Monday". I then told him that he had "previously claimed that he didn't have control of when appointments were given which proved that he was a liar because he was now making an appointment and that he was not doing me a favour and that he was just doing his job and doing very rudely". I then started hyperventilating, went into shock and had to end the call and hide in a toilet to not scare my daughter. I had told this case manager that my daughter had organised this holiday to spend time with me because she may be moving overseas, and it would be one of the last times she could spend quality time with me during our first phone conversation. None of this mattered to this bully!
