If I could give minus star I would ! I rented a car on beginning of February this year and it’s been nearly three months and I haven’t received my deposit money back! I gave them two days warning and after that I’m going to report this company to the police with evidences and let’s see what they gonna say or do! PLEASE DO NOT RENT OR DEAL WITH THEM!
Would not recommend at all. Bad service and even worse customer service. Booked a car for pick up at Dubai airport, but when we arrived we were told, that our car was at another terminal and due to heavy traffic it would take time before it would arrive to the terminal we landed at. After waiting more than 1 hour we were driven to their external HUB and got a car, meaning losing almost 3 hours for nothing. After the return my debitcard was wrongly charged. After contacting them several times i finally got a call where they confirmed it was a mistake and they would send back the money. Weeks went by and the money didnt come, so i had to call and write them again several times. Finally after several months and many emails/calls i got the money back.
So based on my experience i would not recommend this company at all.
I have been renting with Autostrad for almost 2 years on and off , the reason for the on and off has always been the fact that they actually offer good rental rates and cars, BUT my only issue has always been them just charging my card randomly without reason upon query ; I'd be told that it was a fine, and wouldn't receive evidence for them ....
I took a car in January, and returned the car in march - they attempted debiting my card early April, so i asked why and i was told it was for 6 fines from January!?????

Don't be fooled by Autostrad’s professional-looking website. They practice "bait and switch" — they gave me a vehicle I didn't book, promising a later exchange, and then ghosted me. Their communication is non-existent unless they want your money.
Now they are violating their own Terms & Conditions by refusing the "Free Collection" service specifically promised for Monthly Subscriptions. Despite me being in the middle of a relocation and leaving the country tomorrow, they show zero empathy and zero respect for their own policies.
This company is a stain on the UAE’s reputation for excellent tourist service. They rely on the fact that tourists or people leaving the country won't have time to complain. Well, I am filing an official complaint with Consumer Rights. Do not rent from them — they do not honor their contracts.

It was a terrible experience with this company. Got problem with the car and no proper communication channel. They don't know how to take care their customer and they do not response to you immediately once you have problem with the car and to your inquiries. The deposit of 1k DHS takes a long time to be reimbursed. It was a stressful experience and will never make transaction with them.

I paid for my rental car on the day I picked it up as standard practice. After I returned the car, Autostrad charged my card again. When I queried the charge on multiple occasion I finally received a response from them days later saying that it was a mistake and they would refund my money. My card was incorrectly charged on 4th March and still today on 14th March my funds have still not been returned. Avoid this company at all costs, their customer service is atrocious.

I paid the full insurance, and on the second day my tire got damaged. The company told me this was the driver's responsibility, so I had to pay €180 for the repair, which honestly felt like a rip-off.
In short, I will never rent a car from this company again. It was the worst experience.

Their "politeness" is a facade that only lasts until you sign the contract. The moment the vehicle is returned, the communication changes drastically. They become dismissive, less polite, and eventually stop responding to emails and WhatsApp messages altogether.
The biggest issue is their lack of transparency regarding fines. They charge your card for "traffic violations" but refuse to provide official government or Dubai Police reports. Instead, they only send their own internal "invoices" that lack any supporting evidence. As any customer can see, anyone could print such a paper in minutes—it carries no legal weight without an official police fine report.
In my case, it’s even worse. My rental ended on Jan 6, 2026. On Jan 20, they finalized all settlements, deducted specific fines from my deposit, and returned the balance. I thought it was over. However, more than a month later (Feb 11 and 12), they suddenly made two unauthorized charges totaling over 950 AED without any notice or documentation.
This unprofessional and fraudulent behavior caused a significant technical overdraft on my bank account. They ignore all my inquiries now that they have my money. This is a clear case of unauthorized use of credit card data.
Avoid this company at all costs unless you want to deal with unexplained bank debts months after your vacation is over. I have already filed an official complaint with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET).
