The Birthing Matters course is brilliant, can’t recommend it highly enough! My husband and I felt like it prepared us well for baby’s arrival all whilst making incredible friendship groups along the way. The sessions available after the baby’s arrival were really amazing too and created a safe environment to learn from each others experiences in.

I did Debra’s Baby Massage class with my 3 month old son and it was the best class we signed up too! Not only did my little boy enjoy his baby massages, I also got to meet new friends who are going through the same journey as first time mums. The first hour was spent pampering our little babies wearing the most adorable baby massage robes which were supplied by Debra and she also supplied us all with a bottle of oil and book to take home. The second hour was a chance for us mums to discuss a different topic each week whilst our babies usually took a little nap! Supplied by refreshments (tea/coffee and biscuits) whilst we put the world to rights. The third session Debra helped us do our babies footprints and she framed them for us to take home! (So cute!) One out of the six sessions was on a Saturday and this was for the daddies to get involved and take their baby for the class- which was so lovely! I would 100% recommend this course to every new mum, because it is just simply an amazing opportunity to bond more with your little one. Thank you once again!

My husband and I attended the baby matters antenatal course when I was pregnant with our first. We absolutely loved the course, Debra was so supportive and knowledgeable and really gave us the confidence and guidance we needed. It was also a wonderful way to meet new people in the same position and Debra really promoted us all getting to know each other. My husband definitely enjoyed the Dad pub trips!! The biggest bonus is Debra runs a baby massage course once all the babies are born and meeting up with the other mums and babies to share how we were getting on and enjoying a much needed coffee was fabulous.
Would also like to add Debra has many contacts in the area who helped once our baby arrived. Debra put us in contact with a wonderful cranial osteopath and a breastfeeding specialist.
So delighted we chose the baby matters course, a big thank you Debra!

I wanted to post a positive recommendation for Babymatters Maidenhead -Antenatal and post natal Classes. I joined one of Debra's courses recently and accidentally joined a fantastic network of new mums! What I have valued the most is the huge number of opportunities to meet up since the course at coffee mornings, baby massage classes, first aid training and more. Debra goes out of her way to continue to host new mums and babies at her home in Maidenhead (at no cost!) and we have had talks on getting fit after pregnancy, coming to terms with your birth, teething, weaning, sleep, reusable nappies and many more topics, as well as visits from Vicky Glanvill Photography who does fantastic newborn photoshoots, newborn jewellery makers, baby sensory providers etc. Do not hesitate to book this antenatal course over others - you won't regret it 😊

I did Deborahs antenatal course in 2020 for my first child and her baby massage course, and I'm now back again with child no2! Deborah offers fantastic support during and after the course and the weekly talks /walks enabled the mixing of multiple antenatal classes which created an even wider network of mums, who in my experience are now life long friends! Deborah is very knowledgeable and can also puts you in touch with other specialists eg breastfeeding support, baby photography, fitness etc. She has a very calm and caring personality and I cannot recommend her enough! I'm very glad I chose baby matters!

Debra’s class was beyond helpful. For two first time parents who had no clue where to start with it all, Debra showed us all our options, talking through all the information in a relaxed way. More than the classes, it has been Debra’s helpful after care that has made it even more useful for a new mom. She offers social get togethers for new moms to talk when we are feeling deep in the trenches, informative classes and other courses like baby massage. I would absolutely recommend her classes

I can't recommend this class enough, it was so helpful for two parents-to-be who had no idea what to do! I really liked the tone of the class, every birth method and feeding method was described in detail without judgement, which I know is not the case in every class of this nature. Debra is very knowledgeable, and set up many social follow ups, from which I have made invaluable friendships. As a twin mum, Debra put me in touch with other twin mums in the local area, and this has been an absolute lifeline for me. Can't recommend highly enough!

Highly recommend both antenatal class and first aid.

We attended this course in December and our baby arrived a couple of weeks after the course end. Safe to say the course came in very useful during labour!
Debra creates a fun, social and relaxed atmosphere. The course is very unprejudiced and covers all grounds for all eventualities. There is also a good emphasis on the role of the birthing partner which came in very handy during labour itself.
It's a great way to meet local couples due around the same time as you and there are even follow-up social sessions to assist in building up a small community for when maternity starts. We've signed up for the baby massage course and are very much looking forward to learning new techniques now that bub is here.

Debra’s antenatel course was very informative- I appreciated that she went through both natural and c section births in great detail, and we were informed about both breast feeding and bottle feeding. She approaches her courses with an unbiased view which allowed me to make informed decisions to decide the path that was best for both me and my baby.
In the first few weeks after birth, her weekly coffee afternoons were invaluable and the highlight of my week, my baby was too little to go to classes and the only time I interacted with others was at her coffee afternoons. They are very friendly and welcoming and I really appreciated the continued care that Debra gives to everyone.
I am currently attending her baby massage course, which my daughter is very much enjoying.

We loved the antenatal classes as they were informative, interactive and insightful. There was plenty of opportunities to network with the other parents and we are still friends 2 years on!
We also did the baby massage course which was excellent. We loved that there was a class for the Dad’s too and it was fun, relaxing and useful.
The follow up Debra provides is invaluable. She sets up a WhatsApp group for you with the other parents and does regular networking events that are relaxed and fun. She also arranged an annual Christmas event which is outstanding.
Debra really cares and makes you feel so supported and you feel comfortable to reach out and ask any questions you have.

We didn't know where to begin when looking for an antenatal class, this was our first baby and I wanted to choose a class that I felt comfortable with and would be a good investment. Debra's class was recommended to me by my community midwife. I had seen other courses online and after reaching out to one particular national group felt rather disappointed and a bit confused so finding Debra was a welcome relief!

Debra made us both feel welcome, she has a wealth of experience and knowledge. I felt like we went into our birth being as prepared as we would ever be but also confident. I love that we had whatsapp groups set up, all the mums in one, all the dads in another. It felt like you had the extra support of those other mums all going through it together with you at the same time. Over a year later we had a party when all our babies turned 1!

I also really enjoyed the Baby Massage classes, not only was it an excellent opportunity to learn a technique that helped my son to relax and sleep, it was also a fantastic time to talk about what happens once baby has arrived and all the things we look forward to next.

The coffee mornings and useful talks were the perfect interlude every week, sometimes the only thing I would make an effort to get to after very little sleep as I knew everyone there was on the same boat and it was a chance to relax for a short while.

In short, I cannot recommend Debra enough. I am a better mother because of her.

My husband and I attended Debra’s antenatal classes in September 2022. From the beginning, Debra was warm, welcoming and full of pregnancy and baby expertise. The support did not stop once we’d had our baby and Debra was very responsive via call and messaging when I required advice or reassurance. We are now doing her baby massage course as we enjoyed the antenatal classes and would recommend to all. Debra gives a much more personal experience, which I feel would not be the same with other larger antenatal classes. In addition, she also hosts follow up mum and baby groups weekly at her home for free, which has been great during my maternity leave.

I would highly recommend Babymatters. Debra cares and wants to give you the best start to parenthood. We thoroughly enjoyed the course and the support network afterwards of the other parents. Debra is very knowledgable, approachable and pleasure to be around. What I like most about Debra’s approach is her style of doing what’s right for you and your baby without pushing one view over another. We have also signed up for the baby massage course and am looking forward to that one next month. It is worth every penny and is a great springboard to parenthood!

Baby Matters is a fantastic company run by the very lovely Debra. Debra’s ante-natal class was excellent, she gave me and my husband the right amount of information so I felt fully equipped when I went into labour. I was also able to make friends at her weekend course who I am very close with to this day. Her baby massage class once my baby was born was brilliant. A lovely bonding session with my baby and time for a coffee with the other mums. Her First Aid course is excellent, I learnt a lot and felt ready to deal with emergencies such as a choking child. Her coffee mornings and walks are a safe haven to meet other mums, chat, commiserate and ask questions. I would recommend this company to anyone parents to be.
