Ordered and bought two harnesses from this company I measured the first one wrong contacted the company Anna replied almost immediately can’t praise the company the product and the service from Anna enough don’t hesitate to use them

Ill fitting harness for thick coated dogs. No matter what I do to adjust it, it slides left to right. The grip lock bands are useless and it seems my dog finds it horribly uncomfortable. The straps on the body section also have no loops as it does on the neck, so the straps flap about and despite numerous attempts to fix this, I have been unsuccessful. This harness is an absolute faff. Based on my experience I don’t believe this to be a suitable harness for thick coated breeds. I bought this harness as I wanted one that didn’t bunch up behind my dogs front legs however, I’m sure there are others on the market that would be better without the above issues.

I contacted the company which state there are some very strict rules surrounding sending it back - including not wearing the harness outdoors which is ridiculous as how are you supposed to test it out properly!? The return postage is also the customers cost.

This whole experience has been a waste of my time and money so I would think twice before purchasing this product. I have now sent the item back, so I am out of pocket with nothing to show for it.

For £40 I expect more… or at least to be able to return it for free.

Size guide useless

Great experience with barkridges customer service. The harness was lovely,sturdy,and I really wanted to keep it. Unfortunately I found the clips too hard to open which made it impractical forme. I have this problem with all of this sort of buckle tho. Can't fault the harness or customer service and was given a refund quickly after returning the item. Highly recommend this company.

I used Barkridges to buy a harness for my golden retriever. It fits my dog really well! The multiple adjustment points along with the useful video on how to get the perfect fit means I've been able to get a comfortable and safe fit for my dog.

It arrived quickly. I love the colour & quality. It's also easy to get on & off without the need to go over my dog's head. It was a very reasonable price. Also the company owner Anna, seems very lovely & helpful!

I have a dog who is not standard breed size and from the moment I got in touch, Anna was brilliant in helping me select the correct harness and size for my dog giving me several options. It took a couple of attempts but Anna looked at the photos of my dog in the harness and suggested alternatives. She explained the returns policy in full and everything went really smoothly. The harnesses arrived really quickly and they’re really well made, sturdy but comfortable and the fitting guide is really useful and easy to follow. Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending barkridges to all my dog walking pals

Purchased a new harness and lead for my Westie called Poppy. Used the size guide to help sizing which was excellent. The delivery was fast, the product was great quality, not cheap but good value I believe, certainly well made and designed with comfort and ease in mind. Even had follow up emails providing fitting adjustment video and the offer of help if needed.

For me it was a good experience from start to finish can’t fault it thank you very much.

Really impressed - I have 2 frenchies and its hard finding harnesses that don't rub at the back of their legs and also take into account their body shapes. My female frenchie also hates anything going over her head. I bought 2 of the trufit freedom harnesses and they seem such a good fit - good space behind the legs and the chest is deep enough as well. Clips are good and strong .. and they got delivered really quickly as well!
