However, we must respectfully but clearly disagree.

What you received is 100% authentic, unrefined Batana Oil (Elaeis oleifera) — our single and only ingredient. There is no vaseline, no artificial colouring and no added fragrance of any kind in our product.

The firm texture, deep amber colour and natural coffee-like scent are inherent properties of real, unprocessed Batana Oil — properties that are actually used to identify genuine Batana Oil from counterfeits. Interestingly, it is the fake products that tend to be softer and smell artificially of coffee due to added extracts and fillers.

Hi, thank you for your review. Since we've already spoken with you directly, we'd also like to clarify this publicly for anyone else reading.

Your order was for our Batana Shampoo — not our pure oil.

A shampoo, by definition, is a complete formulation: it contains Batana Oil as its key active ingredient alongside the cleansing and care components every shampoo needs to actually work as a shampoo.

IIt was never meant to be, and is never described as, 100% Batana Oil — no shampoo on earth is.

If what you're looking for is pure, single-ingredient batana, that's a different product: our 100% raw Batana Oil, which contains nothing but Batana and nothing else.

So there's no hidden filler or missing ingredient here — it's simply two different products for two different uses.

Hi, we take a claim like this seriously — so we checked carefully, and we have no order, account, or email on record matching you anywhere in our system.

Every BATANICA jar is 100% raw batana oil, single-origin and hand-pressed in Honduras — never China, and never sourced anywhere else. Every order also ships with a verified authenticity batch number & safety QR-code. So if what you received was "fake & from China," it simply didn't come from us.

Unfortunately, copycat sellers use our name to pass off cheap, diluted products, and buyers often don't realize until afterward that they never purchased from the real store — batanica-store.com.

Our batana oil is sourced from Honduras, not China. It's single-origin, and that's the heart of what BATANICA is.

All of our reviews are shown openly and verified on our website — wherever a customer left a written comment or only rived with the star-rating feature, you can read it there directly.
