Around 80 people were waiting at 3:17 pm on December 26, 2025, and there were only three employees to handle the plasma donations. Absolutely disrespectful! Hire more staff or close the Kissimmee office! The treatment of both donors and employees is unacceptable!

Horrible company I went to donate and a…

I had a horrible experience at this plasma center in Spring, Texas. When I arrived to donate, an employee asked me to remove my prescription glasses, saying she “needed to see my eyes.” I always wear my glasses and have never been asked to remove them before, so I was shocked. When I questioned it, she got an attitude with me for no reason.

I continued with my donation, and while another employee was getting ready to wrap my arm and move the card, blood went everywhere. She snatched my arm aggressively. When I told her not to pull my arm like that, she yelled at me. I calmly told her that her behavior could be a problem, and she responded with more attitude.

When I returned today, I found out they had written me up based on lies that were told about me. They claimed I was rude and threatened an employee, which is completely untrue. I only responded to how I was spoken to. The manager didn’t investigate anything—he immediately blamed me and ignored the fact that his employee put her hands on me and mishandled my arm.

I let him know I won’t be returning at all. I did not appreciate how unprofessional and unsafe the entire situation was.

I started as a new donor at the end of…

I started as a new donor at the end of November. I had my first appointment, and they did the SPE sample on the first visit. Then on my second appt, they did a SECOND sample. When I asked why, the lady said it was in the system to have one done, even though I did one on my first appointment. Mind you, this is my second time donating with Bioplasma. I went in for my third donation and that went as expected. When I was getting ready for my fourth donation, as I always do, I double check my appointment time the night before. Everything checked out and was good. When I get up in the morning, I have a message on the dashboard saying I needed to do ANOTHER SPE SAMPLE. I was only my fourth donation and I already submitted 2 at this time. When I finally got in touch with the office on the following Tuesday(I was supposed to donate that previous Sunday), the receptionist said it was procedure, and I needed to come to the center to talk to a nurse. When I asked if the nurse was avaiable she said no nurse was in the building but to come down anyway. At that time, it didn't make sense for me to come do another sample without an explanation to why I am doing all these samples in less than ten days and I wasn't guaranteed to talk to a nurse or donate. Also the receptionist stated that it was the nurse who make to decision for extra samples. WHAT??? THIS IS NOT CORRECT PROCEDURE FOR ANY FACILTIY THAT THE NURSE CONTROLS WHO THEY WANT TO GET EXTRA SAMPLES FROM!?!? To me, it seems like they don't want to pay the new donor fees and are making excuses for people to not make donations. Also riddle me this, if something was wrong with my SPE, which the results would not have come back that soon, why have my other appointments not been cancelled???? It states that we get the SPE done at first visit then every four months after, if it comes back abnormal, all future appointments would be cancelled. I still have an appointment booked but need to give a third sample. Am I missing something?? I'm upset and confused. It doesn't feel or sound right I feel like I'm being scammed out of the first-time donor fees because of the 30 day rule and donations. This is a frustrating situation to which I still have no explanation offered for this and also know that I am not the only donor who is going through the same experience with this facility. What do I do now? I also reported this on the app with customer service, and no one has responded at all, even within the timeframe they give!!! This is very scam feeling, especially because I have had conversations with other new donors going thru the same experience. So What is BIOPLASMA GOING TO DO TO RECTIFY THIS??? I have screen shots and call log to show when I talked to the receptionist and messages in my app.
Location is 701 Battlefield N, Chesapeake, VA

Strong start bad finish: unprofessional

After experiencing CSL, which was understaffed and underprepared, I went to BioLife, and my first couple of visits were great. I liked the app and the appointment system—there was no waiting around. The rooms were clean, and the staff was friendly.

However, after my third successful visit, things went downhill. BioLife called me but didn’t leave a message. I called back several times asking for a return call, but no one ever got back to me. When I showed up for my appointment later that week, the staff told me I was ineligible to donate due to my protein levels. I mentioned that no one had informed me, and they explained that they had called but couldn’t leave a message due to HIPAA. This didn’t explain why my calls weren’t returned. I managed to get reimbursed for gas (it was a 40-mile round trip) and did another protein test, then went home.

Ten days later, they called again to say they needed another sample because the previous one hadn’t been sent in on time. At that point, I gave up. I told them they needed to get their act together. The process was too disorganized and frustrating. Having an inbound phone line that nobody ever answers and not returning calls is completely unprofessional and unacceptable— especially for a medical clinic.

The pay is decent, but in my experience, it’s not worth the stress.

I have previously went to the Pearland…

I have previously went to the Pearland location and each time I advised the staff of my small veins it has never been an issue and if the tech was uncomfortable they would get another tech that was experienced or a supervisor. Recently I I went to a different location 19744 interstate 45 Texas and the service here is completely opposite. Prior to changing to this location I specifically came and spoke to a supervisor named Ty who checked my veins and said it would be no issue and I can ask for him or another supervisor if the tech couldn’t do it. A COMPLETE LIE. each time I come I give the tech full disclosure about my veins and advise if they are not comfortable to request a supervisor and all of sudden they are always busy or unavailable. I am not saying they are not but I am watching them walking around talking. This gives me the impression that the patient is not important.

40 min wait time just too be screened

40 min wait time just too be screened. The people in front of me had too be there at least 50+ mins. Was told this is normal for holiday time. Then why hasn't this been fixed and addressed?

The cherry on top of that wait time, was I couldn't even donate cause my pulse got high. You can probably guess what made my pulse high.

Don’t ever question anything at BioLife…

Don’t ever question anything at BioLife because you’ll get pulled into a manager‘s office and be told that you are disrespecting employees and might be deferred. I’ve never heard of such craziness. I waited in line for my vitals for 30 minutes then I proceeded to wait in a chair for an additional 30 minutes prior to being stuck. I saw multiple people that came in the building after me being stuck several minutes prior to me, even though they were sat after me in the chair. I had not caused a scene, raise my voice or threaten an employee and nor did I use any inappropriate language of any sort to anyemployee. None of that. Just a simple question on why that was happening. The next time I’m in I’m pulled into a managers office prior to even logging in threatening deferral saying I was being disrespectful to the employee. I asked for further clarification, but the manager said he didn’t know however he is the one that waited on me at my last visit. I have never in my life been treated so disrespectfully before in my life. When im in there I listen to the employees complain about one another, complain about their jobs. Complain about this complain about that. I have never once said a word about the unprofessionalism in this place. I know you may be saying to yourself. There must be more to it to the story but honestly there really isn’t. I’m a 53-year-old businesswoman and would never ever talk to one of my clients like they talk to me if someone had a question, I simply answer it. If someone’s upset about something I listen. No not at BioLife if you question something or if you have even a little tiny bit of a hindrance of a complaint, you may get deferred because they don’t wanna hear it and they don’t care. It’s really too bad because giving plasma is a great thing for people to do but after months of doing it at this institution, I really don’t think I’m gonna go back because every time there is an issue normally I say nothing. The one time I did look what happens and I get humiliated

2.5 hours ? Waste of time! Go elsewhere.

I make appointments with Biolife to better manage my time, and theirs. However, I am really fed up with arriving there, only to find a life of 10-15 people ahead of me, standing in line to check vitals, and another hour long line to get seated. I plan my time to be there 60-75 minutes, and I'm really feeling disrespected when I arrive, and it takes 2+ hours. What is the point of making an appointment ? My time is valuable and it appears that Biolife really doesn't care.

Dismissed safety concerns & silenced voices — how many need to pass out before BioLife listens?

On Friday, October 3, 2025 at about 17:50 hours, I visited BioLife’s 8676 State Highway 121 location and raised a legitimate, medically documented concern: after my donation, the gauze wasn’t secured properly — again. This wasn’t the first time I’d returned with blood soaking through, and I warned them that if this happened while driving, I could faint from seeing my own blood.

This isn’t just anxiety — it’s a clinically recognized condition called Blood-Injection-Injury (BII) Phobia, which can cause people to pass out (vasovagal syncope). Behind the wheel, that can be fatal. But instead of taking my concern seriously, the manager dismissed me, refused to consider staff retraining, and ultimately retaliated by deferring me permanently when I asked to speak to someone higher.

Even worse, another donor (self-professing to be an EMS worker) interrupted the conversation, escalated the conflict, and followed me — all while staff said nothing. I was punished for speaking up, while the center allowed unprofessionalism and unsafe behavior to continue unchecked.

BioLife holds immense institutional power. If a donor were to faint while driving and crash, the company could easily influence medical investigations or law enforcement narratives to attribute the cause to something else entirely, circumventing their liability — erasing any link to their own negligence. That’s what makes this so dangerous: not just the risk itself, but how effectively it can be hidden.

Do better, BioLife. Why must I die — why must you deny?

They neglected and injured my arm just for me the one to be barred

The people at the location at 13710 E Nine Mile are incompetent and fail to properly poke people and avoid accountability when people hold them accountable. They also shorten my last pay out due to personal bias. Don’t waste your time going to those who don’t care about your health. Only the money

9/16/2025- Has potential, but system is broken.

9/16/2025- showed up 10 minutes early. Couldn't get past the first desk in over 30 min. Ended up walking out after an hour in the second line. Even had some "important looking guy" standing around like he was reviewing the workers. Half the chairs were empty. Either fix the scheduling or employ enough people. If you can't start a donation within an hour, your system is broken.

HORRIBLE WASTE OF TIME

Second wasted trip today - people there are idiots. They would not let me do the physical to donate because I didn't bring my marriage certificate to prove that my name was legally changed from my previous account. I guess the fact the the state I live in determined my married name change was legal since I have a DL with my new name - or the fact that the social security office already verified my new name since I have a ss card with new name - - nope not good enough for a stupid company to verify that my name changed. Unfortunately no one was smart enough to tell me this went I tried to go the first time.

AVOID at all costs!

For the center in Phoenix, AZ on 31st & Greenway.
Avoid it.
Started going there several months ago and it wasn't bad, but not great. You'd get through intake in 30-40 minutes then another 30 minutes until you get a chair. All in all in and out in around 2 hours.
Then the staff started declining and they had a line that wrapped around the interior for intake. The chair line was just as bad. It became 3+ hours at times.
I work like most people and I'd go after work at 5:50 and at 7 they'd tell people who'd already gone through intake and waited they had to go home, sorry.
I stopped going then came back a few weeks ago. They have signs all over that they were rebuilding staff, please bear with us.
The staff wasn't the problem, though not all were decent employees. The problem was not enough staff.
And that bore out. Intake lines were just a few people. But the line of those waiting for chairs had grown. And they had 3 donation sections they weren't using. My first return got me home just after 8. A little over 2.5 hours. My follow up appt had a 1pm and I got checked right in. Then got in a line that went down a hall then into a room. I sat in that room for over an hour and just after 2 realized it would be another hour, at least, until I got to a chair.
And since I am a recurring donor they were pulling 1080ml from me. So it would have taken over 3 hours. I left.
There's no doubt the company is profiting massively given they have no help in their centers.
Until they fix this I will not return and I'd strongly recommend others to do the same.

I was under the belief that I qualified for plasma donation due to meeting the requirements listed on the website. However, after going through the physical exam with the nurse at the donation center I was told that I don’t qualify because I have type 1 diabetes and take insulin. I was disappointed to find this out after waiting for 3 hours at the center. I wanted to advocate for the young people with type 1 diabetes that are hopeful to donate plasma but will be told that they can’t because of their health condition. This should be clearly written on the website that type 1 diabetes disqualifies a person from donating plasma
