Bluelight was incredibly helpful for me achieving my goals, I had an initial scepticism regarding the service but was put at ease very quickly.
Catherine was a great coach, and told me exactly what I needed to hear to improve and improve fast all throughout my OAC and Final interview.
Thankfully I was able to first time my way through the application process with their help.

I previously applied for the police without support of Bluelight. However, when I was preparing for my assessments, all I could see was content from Brendan on his YouTube channel.

Went into my OAC, thinking I would be fine, but instead struggled answering in a well-structured way, and with enough detail. From memory, the OAC can be up to 8hrs worth of assessment.

As a result of failing, and personal circumstances, I had to wait 6+ months just to reapply. The process, passing first time, still takes ages. Any slight error just furthers this delay.

Second time around, I took no chances, and signed up to Bluelight for support with my OAC and then Final Interview.

The Group sessions are very good, especially for the OAC, and the 1-2-1s with your coach are suited for Final Interview (there is a slight discount/more room for development if you at the beginning of your journey).

My coach was Catherine who was great, always happy to help, and honest as she wanted the best for me, but I must also mention Raj who went above and beyond for me. Catherine, Raj, and the other coaches have so much real-life policing experience, and approach situations differently, which means you have so much to consider, and can tap in to much knowledge!

For both OAC and Final Interview, once I had completed both stages, I just knew that I had passed, and that’s what Bluelight is: a guarantee (*as long as you attend sessions/work hard/complete online modules).

I would recommend you to use this service as it ensures the most effective preparation for your assessments. It is expensive, but see this as an investment in yourself to begin a career, and not a cost.

WOW I’m still on cloud 9! 5* does not seem enough. I would not be where I am today without my coach Andrea! My 121 coach was Andrea, she went above and beyond to get me match fit for my board so much so that I felt confident in my ability to respond to any question put to me. Candidates applying to the Met should be aware that the Met Behavioural Styles Questionnaire (BSQ) is quite different from the national one.

Nothing bad could ever be said about these. My coach was Sarah Morton and she pushed and pushed me through the AC and final interview to be the best I could be. I passed the OAC with flying colours and then the final interview prep was amazing. Couldn't fault Bluelight or Sarah one bit.

Amazing experience. Very friendly coaches. English is my second and I managed to pass all the exams and interviews. I just want to mention that I failed the national sift on my first attempt, but once I join the academy, things got more clear inside my brain!

I applied for help from these guys a day after my OAC started when I realised I was in over my head. They were supportive, understanding and I would not have passed without their help. The price can be a bit daunting at first but when you realise it as in investment in yourself then it feels like pennies.
