Promotion promised, but no resolution when it wasn’t honoured
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience with Bonpoint’s customer service was disappointing.
I placed an order of €359.55 on the Bonpoint website after seeing a promotion stating that every order over €350 would receive a complimentary raffia key ring. I even kept a screenshot of the promotion.
When my parcel arrived, the gift was missing. I contacted customer service, who initially said they could not identify the promotion and asked me to provide a screenshot. After I sent the screenshot, they confirmed that the promotion had existed but informed me that the key ring was now out of stock.
I completely understand that promotional gifts can run out of stock. However, my order was placed while the promotion was active, and my purchase clearly met the required amount. The gift should therefore have been included with my order at the time it was shipped.
What disappointed me most was not the missing key ring itself, but the lack of any effort to resolve the issue. Bonpoint declined to offer any alternative solution or goodwill gesture, despite acknowledging the situation.
For a brand positioned in the luxury children’s market, I expected customer service that reflected the same level of care and attention as the products themselves. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet those expectations.
