Simple Process
Brentacre have to be the easiest insurance company to deal with, a straight forward quotation with no hidden costs and no silly charges for minor upgrades later on.
The cost was very competitive as well.

The four stars for setting up
The four star is only because I haven't needed the service in anger so can't judge. However for actual customer service and setting up my new insurance policy alone it would be 5 stars. The reason(s):
* Great price and good cover
* Easy contact via telephone
* Helpful staff
* Clear instructions on what to expect/next steps
* Patient manner as I ask possibly dumb questions
If I need their services beyond set up of insurance I will update the review but so far so smooth.

AMAZING Service & Pricing
After achieving my 1 year NCB since passing my test, my current insurer (blackbox company) wanted to increase my price by 45% for the year (over £2.2K) despite having an 'excellent' driving score. Speaking to fellow scirocco owners I heard about Brentacre. Within 27 minutes I had my policy bought and everything in place. Brentacre came in over 64% cheaper than my current provided... Without a blackbox and all my mods covered. Immensely efficient and great customer service. Unfortunately I never got the agents name I spoke to but they were informative and efficient. My policy with brentacre doesn't start until next month but already I've recommended them to 2 other people.

Brentacre have been refreshingly excellent. Knowledgable and helpful since buy a new modified van. My current insurance company refused to insure the new vehicle and charged me nearly £200 to cancel even though they could not insure the van. however Brentacre were excellent and so helpful. Prices were cheaper and more comprehensive than my current provider as well. Highly recommend!

After completing a lengthy online quotation form, I was disappointed not to receive an online quote at all.
I was then told there was “no insurable interest” — with no meaningful explanation of what this actually meant in relation to my car or circumstances.
Given that Brentacre markets itself as a specialist insurer/broker, I would have expected a little more enthusiasm to understand the risk and try to offer a quotation, particularly for a low-mileage Porsche used for around 1,500 miles a year.
Insurance specialist? Sadly, that wasn't my experience.

Due to the specialist nature of the insurance we arrange, we don’t provide instant online quotes. Instead, the information submitted through our online form is reviewed by our team so we can assess each vehicle and your requirements individually.
We also apologise if there was any confusion regarding the term “insurable interest” during your first interaction with us. This relates to the ownership of the vehicle. In most circumstances, we require the policyholder to be the registered owner, registered keeper, and have the financial interest in the vehicle before we can arrange cover.
Having investigated your experience, we’re pleased that when we contacted you a second time, we were able to better understand your circumstances and provide you with a quotation. We hope this gave you a more accurate impression of the service we aim to provide.
