Beautiful pottery made by hand in England. These exquisite pieces surpass any other pottery by far. I collect the Black Regal Peacock, which is so beautiful. I order online and have had NO problems with my purchases. Every piece is unique. If people are wanting "perfect" than maybe machine made Chinese imports might be better. I love Burleigh, it's timeless and elegant.

Totally agree with other poor reviews. This company does not care about the customers - if you order via the website then you can expect imperfect pottery to be sent to your address with faults. While I fully understand that handmade items can vary, I do not consider a pattern placed so clearly off-centre (in my case) to fall within an acceptable standard for a first-quality product.

From a customer perspective—particularly when paying such a premium price—this level of finish is not what I would expect. I am unclear what criteria your company applies to define a first-grade product, but in my view this item does not meet that standard. I definitely wont order from them again!

It was a 350 mile round trip to Burleigh Pottery, wasn’t sure what to expect, my girlfriend has always wanted to buy some pottery directly and was very excited, on arrival it was quiet, we received some very personal service from the staff which was lovely, we had a fairly big spend up, then went to the cafe which was nice as well. We had one small problem with a cup which we didn’t notice at the time, this was sorted quickly and professionally, thank you Burleigh.

We enjoy going to arts and crafts places and decided to visit the Burleigh factory to buy a few bits and learn more about their techniques.

It was fairly quiet when we went; we had a quick look in the shop, a walk around the site and a coffee and cake in the lovely cafe. So far, so good.

When we went back to the shop to buy one or two bits we were followed around by an older man wearing a lanyard (white hair/ short beard). It would’ve been nice to have a quick chat and then be left alone to browse but this man insisted on trailing after us, asking questions. It felt as if we were being harassed out of the shop. But we managed to buy a couple of items and enjoyed most of the visit.

Unfortunately when ordering our goods there is no legal requirement for Burleigh to inform the consumer which risible UK delivery service (ie the cheapest) they use. This information is only supplied after the transaction is completed. I knew this was going to be bad when I found out it was DPD. After being told by text and email the day of our delivery, guess what? DPD delivered it two days early when we were out (the text to say it was to be delivered was about 30mins before they did). The parcel never got redelivered and was returned to Burleigh which refused to resend it to us. All we got was a refund and a relative didn't get their birthday present set. BTW if you love smarmy, then you'll just love Burleigh's pointless
jobsworth customer service. And if you want a "will it, won't it" delivery experience then go ahead and spend over £50 online at Burleigh for free delivery. It certainly won't be mine again.

This company are disgraceful. I placed an order nearly THREE MONTHS AGO and have still not received it.

When I contact their customer services, they send a lazy copy and paste reply. I can’t get any information or help.

I’d hoped to start collecting Burleigh pottery, but will never buy anything from them again.

Absolutely terrible!
I am a Burleigh Collector and usually purchase from their factory shop in Stoke, however, due to Covid-19 restrictions meaning we are unable to travel, I had to purchase (for the first time) from their website- For anybody contemplating ordering online with Burleigh, don’t bother!
All items are supposed to be handmade to order and thus can take many weeks to arrive, I was, therefore, very suspicious when my order arrived within a matter of days! I unpacked my order to find that all of the Calico dinner plates dispatched had faults in the glaze (these were first quality items, not seconds), naturally I wasn’t over the moon about this, but what really disappointed me was the blasé attitude of the customer services member that I spoke with to report this- these pieces are very expensive, you would not expect to pay the kind of money Burleigh charge for their items and have them arrive looking like seconds, but what you definitely wouldn’t expect is the attitude I encountered when reporting this issue. The faulty goods were collected, but I’ve had to fight to get my refund and was offered no form of goodwill gesture, and barely a half hearted apology! Not the kind of service anyone would expect from Burleigh, I’m disgusted, especially when I think of all the money I have spent with them over the years.
