Hi good evening i live on 420 Chrislind street in Transcona and a friend of mine in the apartment building locked her keys in her car so I went on the app and requested for someone to come out and unlock her car by using the app it was so easy to do and with in Half Hour the gentleman was there to unlock her car and he was fast and very nice gentleman I have high regards to CAA I’m always saying to people get CAA you will not be disappointed they are the best in Winnipeg and beyond thank you again CAA you have a customer for life Trent Metrow 420 Chrislind street apartment 315 204 268 5666
Call centre AI is such a waste of time
Call centre AI is such a waste of time! Then you get through to a live agent and get two different stories about wait times! Who should the customer believe? And there apparently is no supervisor to talk to at the call centre! This is the second time in the last 6 months that CAA has been contacted for service and quite frankly the service has been atrocious! 6 months ago, a battery assist call was placed to be told they don't work past 5 and we should book an appointment, today a tow is required and a call was placed and we were told the tow can not happen until tomorrow, so we called to see if the call can be put in and the tow will happen tomorrow, no it will occur apparently in 1 to 2 hours, that's great but an Uber has already been used to get to an appointment and can not be back in that time frame, requested it to be scheduled for tomorrow and nope! CAA has become so poor at customer service in the last few years! I pay for 3 memberships and I will in fact be rethinking how I spend my money going forward! CAA Manitoba do better!

Today was just the coldest day all year, -45? I had worked all night had my car plugged in and the battery was dead. I would have expected a really long wait as I’m sure lots of people were having issues and I was in a safe place and rightfully not someone who would be considered urgent. The CSR who took my call was lovely empathetic and easily answered all my questions. Within 15 minutes my car was running and the person who came also warned me about problems with my battery. So happy

I was informed by the customer service representative that I could not receive a tow because there was “nothing mechanically wrong” with my vehicle. I questioned why I was paying for towing coverage if it could not be used in unsafe winter conditions.I recently purchased the car, so I wasn't aware of the tires. However, the rep nicely reminded me that, I waited till last minute and should've changed them sooner.
At this point, she needed to mind her own business.
I am cancelling effective January 5, 2026 and cannot wait.
CAA dispatched driver TONY provided exceptional service in FREEZING Mb. temp.
My wife and I used one of our membership service calls (Friday afternoon) to help our family member that was driving to work 4am Thursday (during the major snow blizzard). He drove off Grassmere Road (West St. Paul, Manitoba) and into a ditch; about 20 feet from the road. The vehicle was surrounded by 2 feet of snow.
I drove out to the disabled vehicle and waited for CAA to arrive. Our call to CAA, for service, went very well; and the dispatched driver contacted me for better directions to the vehicle. I texted a Google maps pin to where the vehicle was.
Note: The weather was -18C.... FREEZING.
The driver named Tony arrived, within minutes, and he was very friendly; from the moment he stepped out of his vehicle and greeted me.
Tony didn't exhibit any attitude regarding the cold and the amount of work he would need to do outside his CAA service vehicle to hook up the winch cable to the disabled vehicle. Tony asked IF it's possible for me to go inside the disabled vehicle to start it and put it in reverse with the wheels straight; to assist the vehicle being winched. He said, very politely, if it wasn't possible, he would do it. I did exactly as he instructed and within 2 minutes the disabled vehicle was pulled back onto Grassmere Road.
Tony was happy that it worked and gave me a "high five" fist bump. I was very impressed with the ease of being pulled in the amount of surrounding snow.
Tony continued working on attaching towing straps and bars to the vehicle in preparation to drive away. He took about 7 minutes STILL OUTSIDE; while I went into my running HEATED vehicle to warm up.
He thanked me again for the assistance and I told him that I would like to give his service a Google review; because I was very impressed with the complete CAA service call... especially Tony's positive attitude in "bone chilling" weather. He was very appreciative. I took a selfie picture with Tony; both of us smiling with thumbs up.
I write reviews when I receive positive service; and this experience definitely warranted a review.
Thank you Tony and CAA for the positive service call and experience. You are a really good CAA representative... in less than ideal weather conditions.

Absolutely THE WORSE service
Had a service call two weeks in advance for tire change over. (Between 8am - 12(noon). Service guy came around 9:30. It was a cold morning and he showed up coping an attitude. It was extremely clear he didn't want to do the job, using every excuse to not do the job complaining about snow around the car. (We shoveled the snow around the SUV, all 4cm of it). He still wasn't interested in doing it. Looking at the tires, the vehicle. I asked him what the hell was wrong? He stormed off saying he doesn't need to be "spoken" to like this and drive off. REALLY??? The word "Hell" was all he needed to use as an excuse?
Have been in hold as I type this for 49min 27sec to launch a complaint. Finally going to give up...
DO NOT BUY CAA unless you love to be ignored and

When I politely said that I didn't understand his last sentence of instruction (because of his garbled English), he raised his voice at me.
I've gotten service from CAA before when the staff was skilled and drama-free.
Now I have doubts about renewing my membership.
No rescue, no excuse
My daughter was stranded in a rural town (15 minutes from Portage la Prairie) with a flat tire. She contacted the call centre to have them send a tow truck to change to her spare. This was 11 pm and the weather was not an issue. By 1:30 am, I had loaded up my 2 yr old granddaughter to go pick her up because it was obvious no one was coming. The next day I contacted the local tow company (one of the three they said they called) and was told they received no call out. I then called CAA to find an explanation for the poor service. They said no driver was available. I responded with the fact we had spoken personally with the company, the girl at CAA said the company lied about not receiving a call. She also said my daughter had been informed she could make her own arrangements and apply for reimbursement. I said if I have to do this myself, I will do so in the future without paying their membership fee. The customer service is absolutely abhorrent and this was only the third time they have ever been called by us in the 5 years I have paid to be a member.
CAA Charged Me For Two Years Pro Membership when I only asked for Ala Carte.
I purchased the Ala Carte Membership many years ago, as I have always had new cars that came with free roadside assistance. I purchased the Roadside Assistance Package for my wife, but recently I learned that CAA had been charging me as well, when I never asked for the Plus Membership. In fact they had charged me for two years, which unfortunately I didn't notice until about six weeks ago. I called CAA on September 16th, and spoke with Jose, in the Brandon Office, and told him I didn't ask for the Plus Membership, and they said they would refund the two years charged. Then, I received a letter stating I had asked for the Plus Membership which is a lie. Why would I ask for the Plus membership, or any roadside assistance, when it is included free with my car? In fact, for the last 10 years, I have had new cars that came with free roadside assistance, and my current vehicle was purchased in 2021, with the extended 7 year 160,000 warranty, and my free roadside assistance doesn't end until 2028.
I responded to their letter and as I know they tape all calls and asked for proof, because they won't have proof, as I didn't order or ask for Roadside Assistance. I have heard nothing since. I heard from a former employee of CAA that they do this often. I will also contact the Better Business Bureau.

Using Future Towing Service through CAA was by far the worst and most frightening experience I’ve ever had. My car broke down in West Hawk Lake, and I called CAA around 7 pm. We had to wait over four hours before two men from the future towing services company arrived at midnight after 12 am . When I first called for service, I clearly stated that there were two people in need of a ride back. Nothing was said to suggest this would be a problem, so I reasonably expected that safe seating would be provided for both of us. Instead, the tow truck cab was dangerously overcrowded with four people squeezed into the front seat, despite the fact that I am over 5 months pregnant. This alone created an unsafe situation for what was a 1.5-hour trip.
During the 1.5-hour drive home, his behavior escalated:

• The individual asked intrusive personal questions and making us feel more uncomfortable
• He inappropriately touched my friend multiple times, even after she told him to stop.
• He grabbed her phone and forced her to leave a 5-star Google review for the company. He pressured me to do the same
• He made unprofessional comments about not being paid to tow us back . Overall, his behavior was manipulative, unsafe, and highly unprofessional.
The truck had no air conditioning on a very hot day, and I am over five months pregnant. I felt so unsafe that I called my husband, who met us on Highway 1 and gave us a ride home. I actually ran out of the tow truck to get a safe ride with him.
As a long-time CAA Manitoba member, I am extremely disappointed. I have always trusted CAA to prioritize member safety and professionalism. This incident not only failed to meet those standards but also put me, as a pregnant member, and my friend at significant risk.
Doesn't haul uninsured classics even with storage insurance..
Got a very old truck. (62 years old that is) Which has been hauled before by other companys. This huge company won't tow cause it's not insured at the moment... just pathetic... company is a scam. Even if you pay the yearly membership. Many companies do... not this usless one.. Don't waste a dime and fine your local guy.. you'll have better connection as well as better deals and faster service even if you're stuck.. avoid CCA billion dollar scam...crap service as well as a usless company. Save your money and avoid at all costs...
This service is a joke
This service is a joke. Request a service call to get a tire changed. A dispatcher calls and says 25 minutes more. 2 hours later they have no record of the call and no time for someone to come.
Heaven forbid you get stuck in a back…
Heaven forbid you get stuck in a back alley. You pay a fortune for membership but if the back alley has ruts its considered an unserviced road and they wont tow you but they will charge you one of your visits.

Today, Feb 18, 2025 is yet another frigid day in Winnipeg.
I didn’t have my car plugged in, (my bad), so it didn’t start when I needed it this morning.
I rejoined CAA about 3pm, was advised it was unlikely I would get someone today, however within 20 minutes a driver, Louis was here and got it running.
What a great response time. Speaking to Jeff and jack on the phone prior was a positive experience as well.

need a tire change in -40 weather condition. called caa services, waited over 6 hours and finally called other towing services to get help. when i was filling the reimbursement form there is no option to upload file. i am canceling my membership today. worst experience ever
