Happy about how they solve the currency issue quickly
I was also mislead by the currency, thinking that I was paying in CAD and not in USD. However, after writing an email explaining that situation in a positive way, they accepted to refund me the amount to cover the price difference between USD and CAD. They say they will consider my suggestion to improve their website showing the currency directly beside the prices. Let's see. Happy by the way they solve this issue quickly.
Very misleading, not Canadian…
Says they are a Canadian website shipping Canadian made products from Canada. They are a US company shipping products from the US. They do not state on the website that everything is listed in USD not CAD. They are very misleading. It’s not until you get the credit card notification that you realize it was in USD and because they instantly create a shipping label with the shipper they won’t let you cancel the order even though it hasn’t even been picked up. Now I have to wait for the order to arrive before I can have it sent back.
BUY WITH CAUTION!!!
I ordered a lamp which turned out to be discontinued, so this company gave me a refund which was over $60 less (Canadian) than what I was charged due to a change in currency conversion.
I'm not sure why I should be penalized when their web site said the lamp was available, and despite numerous attempts at a refund, I'm the one who has to pay because their site is misleading and inaccurate!
They seem to think it is acceptable for me to be out of pocket, so DO NOT PAY THEM before you are assured that the item is actually available!

Great customer service and prices
I was looking for some specific savoy house fixtures and canadalightingexperts.com were the best price even when factoring in the US dollars. I paid through PayPal to use my own currency card.
One of my fixtures arrived within 3 business days (in great condition, no issues) and the other pendants were on back order. I reached out to the company and they were a pleasure to deal with (both Lanel and Princess Reus ) and offered to cancel and refund if I wasn’t able to wait the addition time. This wasn’t necessary as our project hasn’t started yet but they still gave me the $25 USD credit since the product did not arrive in 3 business days.
Based on this experience I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again!
Great lighting shopping website
The website is easy to use, with lots of lighting to choose from. The filters available allow for ease in shopping. I’ve ordered several times and have not had any issues, delivery is quick. Note that the pricing is charged in US$, I think that should be called out before checkout. Customer service is available by Chat or online for/email. A recent ordering issues was resolved quickly. A good site for browsing and shopping.

Ordered lights manufactured/shipped in CANADA
Ordered lights manufactured in CANADA, shipped from CANADA from CANADA lighting experts. There is no mention the price is in US DOLLARS, or that they are a US Company on their home page or on the invoice once you order. I found out when I received my cc statement. Tried calling the toll free number but only 'virtual help' provided. What a scam!

Best customer service!!!
Ann’s customer service is so great! We had an issue where my package didn’t arrive within the 3 days as it was supposed to. Even when she was waiting on the manufacturer to get back to her she followed up with me several times to let me know what was happening. I’ve worked with several other lighting companies and this is by far the best level of service. I’m an interior decorator so it means a lot to me when I can keep my clients informed of what is going on. Thank you Ann!!!
RETURNING IS HELL
hello, I am trying to return an item that was not order and replacing it by the one I did other.
I ordered 2 outside spots, and they send me 24 lighting rings...I tried the online return...so far no answer after 3 days. I then tried the phone line at 9am PST and the answering message informed me that they are closed..what is going on ? in case they read this my order number 11339572. PLEASE FIX THIS. THX

Not an easy return process, but customer service rep Ann is a STAR. Beware that pricing is in US currency.
I would like to start with recognizing Ann, a Canadalightingexperts' customer support person with a five star rating. Returning an order proved very difficult and expensive, but with her direct assistance several times, I received a full refund (but did have to pay for return shipping).
I also would like to alert anyone reading this review that Canadalightingexperts is a US company, located in the US and whose pricing is in US currency (not in Canadian dollars) .. beware when comparing pricing with other companies.
The order did arrive in record time and was as promised.
Charged me for a light fixture that did…
Charged me for a light fixture that did not ship. The credit in US funds was not what I paid for the light in US funds. Lost money on the transaction. Would not refund the difference. I was told I would get $50 USD for the inconvenience but then refused to pay. Had emails confirming this but still refused the payment.

This company is a rip off
This company is a rip off, they list prices in Canadian dollars and then charge in USD. There are many options out their for the same llghts at 25% less even with the discounts they offer. Do your research and stay away. I am so disappointed with my experience- seeing their response below is DO YOUR RESEARCH the prices are not competitive with Canadian sellers if you consider that the listed price is USD

Absolute joke of a company
Absolute joke of a company. Ordered from CANADA lighting to avoid large shipping and importing costs but then we get charged in US funds. Contacted Canada lighting to ask why and all I got was a snotty employee that could not care less, we took that as a loss decided to never use the company again. Unfortunately one of the fans started giving us trouble and so we did our trouble shooting and determined the fan had completely failed, contacted
Canada lighting and they gave us a number for the manufacturer to call and after more trouble shooting they also determined it was a full fan replacement. Now I was told to contact Canada lighting once again for the replacement fan. First time I called they kept me on hold for 1 hour and 31 minutes and had to hang up, called back 20 minutes later and told them what happened and he said I shouldn't have been on hold for more than 5 minutes and he put me on hold again for another 20 minutes until I hung up and tried again, third times a charm and got a lady that was finally helpful and did not her put me on hold. She got the fan replacement request in and 12 days later the fan showed up and once again had to pay $140 in import fees. Once again I contacted Alex at Canada lighting and asked him why I was charged import fees, his response was "
Thank you for the update we're happy that you received the replacement order. No need to return the original order, you can keep, dispose or donate it, whichever option most convenient for you."
Will never use this company again and will never let any customer us them again, so much time and money has been wasted.

Dangerously sharp parts!
Dangerously sharp parts!
I bought the Golden Eleanor articulating wall lamp from this company and cut my finger when operating the rotary switch. Turning the knob between your fingers wedges them against the sharp edge of the cheap, thin disc shaped part beneath the switch.
The little pull tab intended to be used to reposition the arms is also an unfinished stamped part with sharp burrs on the edges. The articulating arm joints are so tight and stiff that the lacquer finish gets ground to a powder if you manage to move them. This lamp is listed for $125. Having installed the lamp a return was not possible. I requested a 50% refund. Even a cheap lamp shouldn't be this bad, but similar lamps online cost about $60 for a pair. I was offered a credit against future purchase, and then eventually a $10 refund instead.

Product good. Customer service great. A couple of caveats.
Pro: Products as advertised, great customer service from parent company, Belami
Con: Misleading name and pricing, poor customer service from Canadalightingexperts
First, the variety and styles of lights are terrific. The prices, at least initially, also seem great.
However, the name suggests that the company is based in Canada but's an American company. The prices are in US dollars, not Canadian dollars. Not all lights are CSA approved so one needs to to check the approval information.
I ordered 3 of the same lights. However, only two matched the order and the third one wasn't even close. My replacement request received one update after several weeks. I lodged another replacement request and heard nothing more.
After a couple of months, I noticed a link on the automated response that took me to a different site where I was able to lodge a replacement request with the parent company, Belami. The response was fantastic! A replacement was dispatched the next day. I couldn't be happier with the friendly communication and quick service.
Because of the great customer service by Belami to correct my order, I'm upgrading my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars.

I ordered lights, you then texted me 3 days later to say that the manufacture does not ship to Canada. YOU then refunded my money BUT because of the change in exchange rate, I am out $13. Chris Rabago refused to refund the difference. POOR SERVICE!

Sneaky and unethical, only telling you that prices are in USD once you get to payment information during checkout.

I should have dug a little deeper, but this is an American company that lists all of its prices in USD this did not become apparent until I hit the checkout and it informed me of this unfortunate discrepancy.
YOU are dealing with Canadians put your prices in CAD.
I did end up ordering 3 lights but they decided to ship them out in 3 separate packages that all arrived at different times. I bought the Quorum Lighting 940-18-80 as it was the cheapest UL-listed picture light I could find on the internet, but holy hell what a brutal install and very questionable quality control. 1 of the 3 had all of its welds broken, and the other 2 were welded together completely out of square.
I would avoid this company at all costs and just shop locally. Unless of course, the local shop is selling picture lights for 600 CAD then this site may be an acceptable alternative.
