Absolutely horrible. I bought a Canon printer, brought it home, only to find that it doesn't work with a 5.0 GHz wifi connection. I did not see anything about this stipulation on the box. It did not come with a USB cable to manually print. I had no way of fixing this issue that was worth it. I bought it in the evening and the helpline did not work. What a waste of time. These printers should be upgraded or discontinued. Thankfully I was able to get the printer refunded.

there’s literally 1 million troubleshooting different problems that I have to solve before it might work 1 out of 100 times. No amount of anything will ever make it work consistently. Worst experience I’ve ever had with anything ever!! You’re never never by Canon. It’s either not connecting to the Internet or not connecting to the phone or not picking something up or not doing this or not doing that or something doesn’t match here or something needs to be reset and something needs to be restarted

Purchased a new Printer. The setup was ridiculous.

Printed an absolute maximum of maybe 15 pages. Ran out of black Ink.

Aparently when you have an error light from low ink, you can't use the scanner.

This is dishonest. I will never purchase another Canon product. I'm actually disgusted.

I have had a Canon printer for a long time (at least 10 years) and I quite like it. I have used Moustache cartridges for a long time. They are more afordable than Canon.

I contacted Canon a week ago about printing issues with one type of ink (PGBK). I filled out a form online and got a reply by email, which I appreciated.

They asked which cartridge I used and to send pictures of it.

After seeing it wasn't Canon, they told me this was an ink problem and to replace the cartridges with Canon cartridges, saying that everything will work properly.

So I contacted Shopper+. The customer service agent was very helpful. I sent him an e-mail with the details of the problem and he forwarded it to the product support team.

After a brief cordial exchange and advice on cleaning, the problem was solved. Now the print is perfect again.

I'm very happy to have been able to count on the support of the Shopper+ team.

I understand that Canon wants to sell their cartridges, but they are really expensive, so finding an alternative is nice. I think they could have made more effort, as Shopper+ did. Running a cleaning isn't rocket science.

just to hard set up wifi will not let plug an play

I hate all printers, Tossed loads of them money gobblers. They all have the same problem ink clogs no printing unless they are micromanaged. Always bought inkjet printers buy new cartridges. 2 simple black and colour canon Staples close to a hundred dollars generic about half of that if you get some for your model . Inkjet save some money but still about same as generic new. The yield pathetic. Excited about Canon mega tanks when they came out but couldn't afford one waited until prices came down bought Canon Pixma G3260 for about 300 dollars and tax Walmart who has them on sale now for 200 dollars about right price everywhere this model on sale. Got 3 colours of ink decent size bottles plus 2 or 3 bottles of black ink very pleased. I have had mine about 3 years now close to it. Worked great for about 11 months ink flow acting up faint print followed maintenance on LCD screen you need bright light on that little screen. I also took soft cloth and alcohol and wiped contacts and ink dispenser slot on bottom of cartridge and may have had to reseat them a few times to be recognized. Every full maintenance fills up the maintenance cartridge with flushed ink that stays there maybe 3 of these flushes and when full printer halts. New cartridge 13 from Canon or 16 from Amazon ca both free shipping last I checked. Can't clean this reservoir ink everywhere carefully put in garbage bag toss. Have to center sliding ink mechanism with power pull power cord when in middle the lock lever gray just inside of printer near the front right side. Don't pull on ribbon and tube cable even if gentle they could eventually get loose and leak. You flip it up goes right up those 2 blue lock buttons pop up you can pull the 2 ink printer cartridges out see the corresponding gold contacts at the end where to shove it in . Reseat same as take out flip top down hear the snap and push down 2 blue round lock buttons on the top. Usually takes me about 2 days to fix this printer. I clean with alcohol all contacts flip open the tabs that cover ink tanks wipe those check for dried up ink on the tops caps inside might not be snapped down enough never a problem. Soaked cartridges in warm alcohol but of water then I used a syringe kit to push alcohol through the holes on top of the ink cartridges with the hose end over little raised top tiny well top of cartridge. Do it very slowly as to get it in the cartridge. The ink will flow out the bottom use a couple of old foil bread pans for this. Even alcohol kind of expensive now 8 dollars in Shoppers. Wiped them reseated colour super faint but copying nothing on black. Put black ink in syringe pushed some. through black cartridge. Dried off reseated. Colour faint no black. Did just maintenance twice over no flush asked for 2 cartridge flush can't too full so did just black flush. Well this copy got black printout woohoo. Tried colour used small photo printed clear but colour a bit off. Ordered new maintenance cartridge amazon ca 16 plus tax free ship just couple of days . Will do a colour flush on the old one that might have some room yet then immediately remove reservoir put new one in Reserve your ink don't get flush happy. Wipe the ink print heads with alcohol persevere. I saved 61 dollars inkjet wants 70 plus tax for this so 80 dollars. Bought a cover for printer 20 dollars nice top handle 2 front pockets sturdy. Fabric over sturdy vinyl. This fix good for about 3 months starts to get faded do maintaince all but flush check printheads contacts wipe with alcohol. About 2 afternoons worth but they fix new heads close 100 dollars each. Syringe comes in a kit attachment about 13 dollars on amazon.ca When drawing ink into syringe have to work needle in top of ink bottle lean bottle over a bit inside loaf pan on the corner so pin reach and draw in ink prime black cartridge don't spill it's hard to get out. Also did a reset 2 or 3 prompts in LCD menu ok all that helped buttons work lose confusion. Was pressing power button and copy same time for copy mode to work this fixed it. This is the stuff I've learned in 3 years owning this hate the maintenance but sure miss it when I don't have it especially printing directly from my phone. Still have original inks but on second black bottle filled syringe from it. Might give Canon Pixma G3260 another half star. So a 3 1/2 out of five. Lots do learn and do just wanted to share all in one spot hate looking things up all the time. I hope I can whittle time down for problems but machine still works and the original ink cartridges do also. It's still the nicest printer I've owned and have never had to buy expensive ink still leaning on what ink it came with. They are lots more money but still saves money. Two hundred dollars with the extra black ink is a fair price. Have bought relatives this printer. Just spoke to sister still have theirs up and running also. G7020fax 2 much

When I say Canon I thought I would be buying a good quality printer and Canon would stand behind their product. Boy was I wrong . The printer has never worked right from day one and after trying everything it is still a piece of junk.Canon could care less. All I wanted was to buy a printer , install it and print. NOPE.

2 hour wait time on the phone and didn’t even get a person. Given up on it completely , useless

Worst customer service, I've had to reach out to them twice. Once by chat where it lots of time for them to answer a question. Most likely poor person is dealing with too many chats.

Next time I was told to fill out a form, that they would help with a rebate that was missed. I filled out the form and was denied. First, because they said it wasn't purchased in 2024. When I showed them the invoice they then said it was because it wasn't within a certain month, period despite another person telling me they could help.

The customer support doesn’t deserve even one star, unfortunately it’s the lowest possible to give.

software provided from the canon site is useless junk that will not work for pixma 4700 series printers and it is the required operating system software downloaded files that are corrupted at their site
and seems as though it is done with purpose/intent maybe

A variety of error messages on my rather new Canon printer, rendering it inoperable. Tried online support, got only a robot which took me through the 'gather my data' process, then, when I needed more help, said 'Sorry, no one available. Bye.' Awful service.

Just a piece of junk. Paper jam in every single use. Not connecting properly with internet. Overall just garbage! Good job Canon!

At Staples I bought a Canon Printer TR7420 All in One with Fax on sale for $79.00 This model is not constructed well. The ink cartridges that came with the printer causes alot of error readings. I returned this item two times. Two failures. I decided to buy the Canon TR7020a for $99.00 which is a upgrade. Still All in One but does not have Fax. This Canon came with a program disk. Also ink cartridges. It was easier to install and connect with WiFi with Computer and my Android. The TR7420 did not come with program disk. Lots of defects. Would not recommend the TR7420. The TR7020a was extremely easy to connect with my computer and Android. Worth the extra $20.00 dollars.

I called looking for help with getting my printer to connect to the wifi (your downloadable driver nor phone app worked in my case). I just an hour waiting for my turn and ended up getting someone who struggled with English as a second language who thought I was speaking French, when I was clearly speaking English, and transferred me to someone who spoke French. When I told this new customer support person that I wanted service in English, he dropped my call instead of transferring me to someone who spoke English. This has been an obscene waste of my time. I am not impressed.

I will absolutely never buy another Canon product...never. The $400 for a printer that simply does not work properly. I have owned some pretty poor computer equipment in my time and simply moved on or made the necessary changes. its not that this Canon printer under performs from what is advertised, it does not perform. Nor is the Canon "support" group available with any assistance. Dreadful...a real grift.

LEGAL SCAM. asked for 400 dollars to fix "network firewall issues" I said ill just buy a new one and they said that wouldnt work. I insisted on just at least trying to buy a new one and he said"ok you try and fix it yourself" and hung up. Very rude not sure the need for fake names as well if its supposed to be a legit tech support. Turned printer upside down and smacked it twice and it started printing normal. So they were basically lying the whole time to get us to pay absurd money.

Everything goes wrong. Getting constant spool errors, blocks, communication issues. Ive reinstalled, rebooted etc. Worst printer I've ever owned. I will never buy from cannon again.

Bought a laser printer and after printing 300 pages, my color toners are at 0%. Apparently Canon puts "starter" cartridges in there printers which are supposed to get 450-500 pages. Man, I can't even get that out of them. I don't print photos or anything heavy with color. Bought the printer 6 months ago. I hate how these companies do stuff like this. Very misleading.

Very hard to set up the wifi on their printers. No explanation in the user manual.
