My experience buying a car at Car Planet was good from start to finish. The staff were very good particularly Jordan and Delizah. Everything went smoothly including delivery. All documentation and service history present and correct, and I am very happy with the car.

Although did feel rather rushed. Would have liked to have seen the car from its start up position but they drive the car to you. Not a great location, it’s nice to be able to stroll and view cars at your own leisure.

On viewing the car, test driving and agreeing a deal, we paid a deposit and agreed to collect it the following weekend, giving car planet enough time to complete the service and apply the supaguard. On our return to pay the ballance and sort out the relevant paperwork we was told at 10.50 that the car had just undergone its second coat of supaguard, (it requires four coats we was told) by the time the paperwork had been sorted it would be ready, approximately half an hour. At 14.00 after sitting waiting watching other people come and go, with their new cars, after asking a few times if it was ready to collect and being told it shouldn't be too long, i decided to go and see if it was ready and someone maybe forgot to tell us. To my surprise, the car was still in the carpark filthy and not been touched. Eventually after sitting around for over four hours we collected the car. We was told it would have enough fuel to get us home, approximately a two hour drive, 82 miles. The car had 2 miles range in it and only just made it to the nearest fuel station. The fuel, I can live with, it was the untruths that we was fed when we arrived. To be honest, It felt like once they had our money they were not bothered.

I bought a car from car planet. The customer service was good all be it just typical salesman interactions trying to sell you loads of add ons and pretending they’ve got you the best deal possible to try and get you on board.
Now the car itself I was promised a “150 point check” to make sure it was good standard and anyrhing that went wrong within two months would be fixed by them.
Within two weeks the car engine service light had come on, the back windows did not operate properly and the key fob was never recognised by the car itself and would be a lot of trouble to unlock, lock or start the car.
We gave it back to car planet to fix these problems. I was told the DPF was blocked and it would be cleared. There was no problem with the back windows it was just ‘cold’ and the key was almost laughed at by sarcastically saying the battery can be changed. So after getting it back from carplanet the back windows still didn’t work, the key went back to not working after a week and the engine service light came back on after a couple of weeks.
After taking into another garage, it turned out they didn’t manually clear the DPF, they just took it for a drive at a high rev count which temporarily fixed the problem. The transmitter in the car for the key fob to work was faulty and the back windows motor had gone. The work to put it al this right had totalled over £3000!! Unbelievable for a car that has only done 35,000 miles, had a “150 point check” before selling it to me and taking it back to carplanet to fix these problems issues.
Although the customer service was okay. They’re lazy with helping fix cars, they do it the cheapest way possible and csnt be trusted for what they’re selling to you. I would never buy from this company again it’s cost me an arm and a leg, wasted so much time with the car in the garage which is extra expense and just can’t trust anything they say to you

They do not care / think twice.
I bought a Renault Clio in 2025 and then signed a contract of service for the next 3 years. I paid £600 for the service contract. One year later, when my vehicle was due for service, I tried every possible way to make an appointment, whassup message, phone call and e-mail, all of which were unreturned for ever.I had to have the vehicle serviced at the dealership which I believe was the most decent course of action.
I visited their reception today to learn more and ask for a refund but I was told of a so-called non-existent reply to my email, which I have never seen in my inbox or junk box.
They looted my money!!!

Ease of checking the car. No excessive sales pressure. Engaging staff. The car required interior cosmetic treatment and set of locking nuts. This was acknowledged and arranged by a manager and subsequently fixed by the friendly prep centre. Overall relaxing and rewarding experience .

Cars not washed or valeted when you go…
Cars not washed or valeted when you go to see them.
Check MOT before buying had a recall on mine which they said they would get done. Was told it would take a month to book this in with the main dealer. Checked at 2 main dealers they could do it the following day or the day after.
Car Planet tax the vehicles for you before you leave (at your cost) was told it was
done. By luck noticed 3 days later this had not happened. I had driven around with no car tax fingers crossed I have not gone through an ANPR camera otherwise there will be a £80 fine coming to me.
Altogether (apart from the salesman) an unpleasant experience which is not how it should be spending nearly £20,000 on a car.
I would not buy from them again!

Not the greatest
The service here isn’t the best.
You end up waiting hours for checks plus all the admin work. Mind you I had booked an appointment which they double booked with another customer so waited over 2 hours to be seen.
As expected they also provided a different price to what was quoted on the app submission.
I did end up selling them my car as I was eager to get rid, but I don’t see myself reusing their service.

avoid, avoid avoid ? I am telling you my story I purchased a MGZS exclusive. In 31/01/26 the car they sold me after the purchase. I found out the car has been repaired. I also have the inspection report. Also, the car has so many mechanical faults. I have contacted them so many times, but they don’t respond. Please be very careful when if you do go to the showroom to view a car , because the sales person will try everything to sell the car , also they put me on a bumper policy that I cannot even use because it’s gonna start from 2029 it doesn’t make sense if you’ve been cheated by them report them to the local authority ? I also know once they read my review they will reply. Somebody will get back to you that I know they want.
