**Update**
So the tree completely died by July no matter how much it was watered. We dug it up yesterday and the roots were practically nonexistent with zero new/ white roots forming. Do not buy from this company unless you love wasting money.

I don't tend to write reviews unless they're positive but unfortunately I feel like I need to leave a review for my bad experience with this company. I ordered a Christmas tree (in fairness in the sale) but when it was delivered it was very badly wrapped and damaged. I sent a picture and complained and told them I wanted a refund but was instead offered a 50% refund and a promise the tree would absolutely be fine if planted and looked after. Unfortunately this was 16th April, and it's now (31st May) the tree is almost completely dead. The weathers been hot but I have watered the tree every time it's not rained and it's still a complete mess. Every needle that's left and not fell off is completely brown.

Absolute sharks and 0 customer service skills!! DO NOT order from this company by any means if you want your home to be damaged upon delivery!

A bit of background on my review. We ordered 2 x pallets and had them delivered to our property. We added instructions for delivery to be left by our front door (a section is provided for delivery instructions) When we arrived home we had a large pallet by our front door with the plants on but noticed the slabs had been scraped and cracked. We also have the CCTV footage from our ring door bell proving this.

Upon reporting the damage back to Cheshire Plants and the images I have attached to my review we were met with an apology from an employee named Adam which we accepted and was told in exact wording "Thank you very much for your email and very sorry to hear regarding the damage to your property. I have reached out to our 3rd party transport company for their guidance on this and a resolve and will come back to you asap."

After chasing for an update on 2 further occasions I was emailed again with "I am just awaiting a resolve, the issue we face is that these deliveries are curb side only, I believe the driver has attempted to be helpful and follow your instruction when ideally he should have left the pallet at the bottom of the drive as per our terms and conditions on all deliveries as our third party has no insurance to cover dropping goods on private land as this should not have been done. I am working on this for you and will come back with an update."

Again after no response and chasing we received an email "I have since spoken with Mat, Director of Cheshire Plants, who would also like to extend his apologies for the inconvenience caused. We understand how frustrating this situation must be, and we are keen to find the best way to put things right for you. To help us move forward, would you be able to let us know the likely cost of repairing the cracked stone on the driveway, or arrange for a quotation for the repair work? Once we have this information, we can discuss the best way to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and again, please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused"

Following this we reached out to a local trusted building firm and spent time obtaining a quote which took time, sent this back to Mat and Adam at Cheshire plants to seek a resolution.

Again met with silence we chased the matter up and only to be met with the following email statement "Good afternoon Ryan,
I hope you are well, and thank you for sending this across.
Following a full review of the matter with our Director, we would like to clarify that our delivery service is provided on a curb side basis only, as outlined within our website terms and delivery policy. We also note that instructions were included on the order requesting that the delivery be left on private land.
Whilst we acknowledge the circumstances raised, and appreciate your concerns, the driver’s actions were outside the scope of the service we are contracted to provide. As such, and in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, we are unable to accept liability for the associated costs being claimed.
We do, however, value our customers and always aim to resolve matters amicably and professionally. We hope this clarifies our position and brings the matter to a close.

After digesting this email our position now stands at you are saying you will do NOTHING on the matter of the damages caused to our property, that you have accepted the delivery driver has acted out of your policy and as such caused the damages that you are not willing to resolve. Why would you ask us to go out of our way and obtain quotes if from the start you was going to state there is nothing you are gong to do. If you were honest from the start we would have accepted this but we feel incredibly let down by you as a company and feel you have totally wasted our time in asking us to obtain quotes that you have no intention of resolving.

Fantastic in every way. Easy to order online, really helpful and responsive sales team, fair prices, very high quality shrubs and an exceptionally helpful deliver driver. Highly recommended.

I purchased 25 Portuguese Laurel hedges, the 10 to 12 ft size.

When it came to delivery there was a slight mix up and a few were different, however after talking straight away with Matthew the courier driver left and returned a couple of hours later with the replacement ones.

This was especially helpful because I had a landscape gardener there, a small mini digger and large skip, we were digging a fifteen metre trench for these to go in so the fact that they sorted this out on a few hours was most welcome.

This is not my first purchase from this family run business, and it most certainly will not be my last, in fact I will be calling them again shortly for some more plants.

Lovely people, very competitive prices. What's not to like.

I've just planted 20 cherry Laurel that this company delivered to a customer of mine, I can't believe the quality of these shrubs they have to be some of the best I've come across they were taller than ordered and pretty bushy I'd definitely recommend this company and will definitely be using myself

Bought 2 plants from them last spring. Planted and looked after them regularly throughout but the plants lost leaves in winter which never came back - the plants died without lasting a season. Not offering a replacement as is the case with all reputable garden centres. Avoid.

Matt and his team are very welcoming and knowledgeable. I drove 2 hours to see the quality and construction of the Pergola in person. I had been to see others, but all appeared flimsy or I could tell the construction was poorly designed e.g the way the Louvred roof opened/closed. This Pergola from Cheshire Plants was not comparable to the others. Solid aluminium construction throughout, exceptionally sturdy and built to last. I did think initially there must have been a catch (which is why I turned up in person) but no catch, just a great Pergola at a price point which was quite unbelievable. The build in led lighting adds a touch of class, my favourite being the warm white option. I also ended up purchasing an all aluminium construction patio set as I was fed up of my other patio sets rusting. To finish, I also purchased a fire pit table for those nippy nights. I built everything myself with the help of a friend, instructions for the Pergola was the best I’d seen, very clear and easy to follow, all parts were labelled making identification easy. All in all, Matt and his team smashed it out of the ballpark with prices that could not be beat (trust me, I looked everywhere to find like for like cheaper). Super Happy customer!

The plant is healthy but disappointed with the size of the plant, its at least 1/3 smaller than what I saw in their product page

Laurels ordered by picture and arrived as picture plus, gorgeous plants, amazing.
Delivery agent was also amazing, helped us unload some of the plants and even took the pallet back, proper company.
I will be ordering more from Cheshire, a true and honest company that sells what it says, thank you.
Please, order from them, what you see on line is not what you get, it is WAY BETTER.

I received 28 XL Bushy laurels this afternoon. The photo on the website is exactly what i received if not i feel better. The heights of all 28 laurels are between 5/6ft as specified. Delivery was as promised between 8am-6pm, and I also live in a lane with tricky access. I was nearly put of by a review regarding the delivery's being bad but my driver was welcoming, helpful and a good laugh too even at 5pm on a friday. I will be shopping again with chesire plants very soon and my friends will be recommended them also.

This is the best plant company I have ever used, They answer the phone quickly, very helpful with advice and guidance. Delivery came when they stated, the trees are superb. All in all a great experience, I will be recommending them . Top class service.

The team at Cheshire Plsnts are efficient courteous and delivered the plants (40 large 6ft laurels) with care and as promised. No delays no problem.

This is a rather mixed review. No issue with the quality of the hedging plants I ordered.

Issues arose regarding the delivery. We called up after placing the order to make them aware that a very large lorry wouldn’t fit down our lane but could access the road servicing it. That we were near the end of the lane so we had no problem meeting the driver as we have done before to wheel the pallets to our driveway. They said this would not be an issue and were given a phone number separate from one on the order for the driver to ring if there were any issues.

We were also not informed of the delivery date as they said they would do on the order information. So we’re not expecting a delivery on that day.

The driver wasn’t given the number specific to the delivery or any other instructions. I then had to ring the driver after my partner rang me telling me they were not gonna deliver if I didn’t ring them quickly. On speaking to the driver he told me he couldn’t access the road to my Lane because he had an 18 ton lorry. We have had 18 ton lorries deliver here before, no issues and the drivers were always very helpful.

This driver passive aggressively informed me that he was going to put it down as a ‘non-delivery’ and returning the items. So I had to suggest meeting him on the side of the road a mile away and when I met him, he did not lower the tail gate to the floor, I informed him I had a prolapsed disc and could he give me a hand and he just grinned at me while looking down on me watching me struggling with three very heavy hedging plants while dragging them through the back of a hatchback vehicle. I think anyone in my situation wouldn’t be happy about this.

Understandably, I rung up Cheshire plants and I was informed a manager would call me back and then two days later I’scheard nothing and then naturally gonna ring up the second time as a customer I am going to be frustrated, I was however polite and not rude or abusive.

When I finally got passed on to a manager, he instantly told me he didn’t like my tone, literally a sentence into the call while I was trying to explain the situation, and try to nullify my complaint, because he didn’t like my tone apparently, I’ve had no issue with this before when I’ve had to deal with companies in regards to making a complaint. When dealing in Customer Services you are going to deal with customers who when they’ve not received the service they require are going to be frustrated. So I’m not only did I had to deal with a passive aggressive delivery driver I also had to deal with a passive aggressive manager at the Company concerned. I suggest this individual needs some specific customer service training.

I stumbled across this company whilst looking for a solution to renew a part of a boundary hedge. I wanted an instant result, but thought it would be too costly. Cheshire Plants had a sale on so I was able to fill the gap with decent sized plants. The ordering was easy, price good and the delivery company a delight to deal with. The order came when promised and the very next morning, I've got them in and the gap is no more! Very Pleased I found this company.
