I came to the hard decision that my bungalow that I'd lived in with my late husband for 52 years had just become too much & the garden grounds were also unmanageable.
I knew I had to move, being on my own with no family, but of course I put it off & I was very nervous about the thought of how I was even going to go about it. I ended up plucking up the courage to attend the launch event back in February & spoke to friendly & warm Churchill ladies. When I discovered that Churchill arrange everything, from helping sell my property, dealing with solicitors and estate agents, even assistance with all my decluttering and removals on the day of move, it seemed like the perfect solution to all my worries. Now, I'm happily living at Adam Lock Lodge & the set-up is just so convenient for my happy new chapter. I have new friends & recently enjoyed a cheese & wine event in the beautiful owners lounge. Aimee & Lark have gone out of their way to make me feel so comfortable & nothing is ever too much trouble. We have lots of fun along the way too! Now we are coming into Winter It's lovely to know I don't have maintenance worries that I'd most probably have in my rural property & also I can just walk into town or to the shops without having to drive. Overall, I'd highly recommend coming and having a viewing at Adam Lock Lodge, you won't be disappointed!

We have recently moved into Parkside Court in Southport.

Our lodge manager, Liz has been so kind and helpful in helping us to settle in - nothing is too much trouble for her.

All the residents have made us feel so welcome.

We would highly recommend Churchill Living and Liz to anyone considering moving here.

Thank you for your response and for acknowledging the difficulties I am facing following the death of my husband.

I appreciate that you are unable to waive the two-month notice period. However, since my husband’s death, I am living on a significantly reduced income, and the resulting additional rental liability is causing me considerable financial hardship. I have had to secure more affordable accommodation to ensure that I can meet my essential ongoing living expenses, leaving me unable to absorb the full cost of overlapping rental commitments.

In light of these bereavement-related financial circumstances, I respectfully ask Churchill Living to reconsider the extent of the remaining liability and to offer a compassionate and proportionate resolution. You have kindly stated that Churchill Living will continue to work with me to find a positive way forward. Please could you set out the practical options you are prepared to consider? In particular, I would be grateful if you could consider reducing or waiving part of the remaining rental liability, agreeing a reduced settlement figure that reflects my circumstances, or allowing any balance to be paid by affordable instalments.

I would also ask that the deposit held by Churchill Living be applied directly towards any rent or other charges that remain outstanding. This would immediately reduce the balance and materially lessen the financial hardship I am experiencing following my husband’s death. Please confirm the amount of the deposit and how it could be credited against the outstanding liability. If the deposit cannot be used in this way, please explain why and confirm what alternative arrangement you can offer.

I hope we can reach a reasonable and compassionate resolution that takes account of both the tenancy agreement and the profound change in my financial circumstances caused by bereavement. I am willing to discuss a practical settlement and would appreciate a clear written proposal setting out the amount sought, how the deposit would be treated, and any payment terms available. I respectfully ask that my circumstances be given full consideration before any final demand is made.

From first viewing of the new Barum Lodge through moving in and settling down, the whole Churchill team (Gina in particular) have been there on hand to ease the legal, administrative and practical process of a long-distance move. Without all the help and support I would have probably decided it was too difficult - so very glad all those involved kept things moving and under control for me. Now I'm in and settled I keep discovering extra benefits of being in my flat, and in the Lodge in general. Really well and thoughtfully designed for single elderly living, with full independence but with Lodge Manager Jack to answer all sorts of questions and help with a thousand and one small things, it's an ideal life. For me, a dream come true with a lovely home in a splendid location. Well done, Churchill!

My husband & I had considered downsizing in a couple of years after visiting a Churchill Lodge with a friend.
Due to Alan’s health we decided to bring this move forward.
We looked at other areas & apartments then visited Churchill’s Baker Lodge in Staplehurst.
We were warmly welcomed by Sunel Sargeant the Sales Executive who
showed us round various apartments. We were so impressed with Sunel, the lodge & whilst there met a lovely couple of owners in the lounge & the Emma lodge manager. Everyone was so friendly & made us feel very welcome.
We had that light bulb moment & knew this was the right place to settle into our new life.
Sunel has been amazing from start to finish, always there to sort any problems we encountered & deal with them on our behalf.
We only moved in last month & any little issues that arise from a new property have swiftly been addressed by Churchill Management.
We cannot praise Sunel enough for all the help & support she has given us during this life change for us.

Life decided it was the time to downsize:
We were fortunate to find Baker Lodge, providing us with an apartment that fits with the lifestyle we desired. The cherry on the cake was the Sales Executive Sunel Sargeant who continued to walk us through whatever reared up throughout the moving/downsizing process. Not one problem has shown itself to be beyond Sunel personally or via Churchill. Now happily installed in Baker Lodge we have neighbours who have quickly become Friends. We are all now being assisted in our new life by Emma our Lodge Manager who organises the day to day life, and uses the Churchill organization to enable our new life to run smoothly, addressing any problems that inevitably arise.

When my husband and I first approached Churchill Living, about a move to Barum Lodge Barnstaple into one of their luxury apartments, where we meet Gina, Elaine, Martin, Jack (Lodge Manager), who all were very professional in there jobs. From the apartments to the very cosy lounge, where you can have get togethers with other residents you can't go wrong, highly recommend

I have been happy in my Churchill apartment, but need to move away now to be closer to my son who has moved to a different part of the country.

Admin people don't often get mentioned in reviews, but without them doing a good job, our lives would be made much more difficult. Molly, who works as a Property Administrator for Churchill recently assisted me with getting my Churchill property ready for sale, with organising a photographer, and producing the sale leaflet with all the details on it. She did a very efficient and speedy job for me, communicating with me well at all times, and I am very happy to recommend her here.

From the sales team Elaine Gina and Martin who were always available to answer any concerns I had on my move and Kate who helped me with downsizing I thankyou.
I was the first to move into Barum Lodge a brand new development in Barnstaple a lovely one bed apartment with a balcony. The apartment is fitted out with modern appliances and well constructed.
As with any new build there was a few issues but were quickly sorted out by the buildings management team.
Jack our building manager is always on hand if we need help or assurance. He arranges coffee mornings when we the residents can meet for a friendly chat and comes up with ideas and demonstrations that might interest us.
Best move I made into Churchill living

We are blessed to own an apartment at Meyer Court in Exeter. We love living here. We have recently had a relative to stay in the guest suite. This is her second visit. She absolutely loved it. So clean and welcoming and comfortable. Our lodge Manager Jeanette made sure everything was provided that was needed. She is always available if any guest should need anything. First class experience. We have today booked our relative to come back next year. We thoroughly recommend this Lodge to anyone looking for a brilliant place to live or to visit your relatives and stay in this lovely guest suite. Christine and David

All the owners and Kim the Manager made us very welcome at Beecham Lodge, Cirencester. The guest suite was very clean and inviting as you entered the room. It was an ideal place for us to stay whilst visiting family in the area. Thanks to everyone whom we met.

Concorde Lodge, Filton. My mother has recently had to leave Concorde lodge after 13 years as a resident, and I just wanted to say thanks to John the lodge manager for his amazing contribution to making my Mum (and Dads) time at Concorde Lodge so enjoyable. My Dad always said moving there was the best thing he and my Mum had done and the friendly atmosphere at the lodge and Johns' constant cheerful help and involvement was a large part of that. Thanks John!

The staff at Churchill Living have always been very helpful and extremely polite, most recently Vivien at Spitfire Lodge, Southampton. My wife always mentions how pleasant an atmosphere she felt at the property.

My wife and I recently had some remedial work done in our apartment (the usual things on a new build movement cracks etc).
I have to say the workman David Miles that was sent from Churchill Living was excellent.
He couldn’t be more respectful and considerate, bearing in mind the work that had to done made no mess and caused hardly any disruption and is a credit to his profession.

What an amazing organisation, from start to finish with Ron's relocation journey.

Where do we even begin?

My 91-year-old father-in-law, Ron, first fell in love with
Engelman Lodge around three years ago, when the site was still a factory. Seeing the site being transformed into the beautiful development it is today has been incredible — and having Ron finally move into No 1 this week has been truly life-changing for all of us.

Throughout our journey, we’ve had the absolute pleasure of dealing with Maggie. She’s incredibly patient, kind, compassionate and caring, and she’s made every step of the process feel as easy and stress-free as possible.

The apartment is absolutely beautiful, and the complex itself is just as impressive. Nothing has been overlooked, from the alarms and security to the thoughtful lighting around the switches. Every detail has been carefully considered, and everything is simply impeccable. It’s a truly wonderful place for Ron to call home.

There really aren’t enough words to thank Maggie and the whole Churchill team for everything they’ve done.

Ron moved into his new home this week, and seeing the smile on his face has been priceless. Knowing that, when we drive away, he’s safe, happy and settled in his beautiful new home is just wonderful.

Thank you, Maggie, and thank you to everyone at Churchill who has helped make this possible. Your care, patience and professionalism have meant more to our family than you’ll ever know.

We visited Clinton Lodge in Lymington twice with a view to purchasing an apartment for my Mother who is looking to relocate from Essex. The property is beautiful and we had such a warm welcome from both the host and Corrine in sales who was exceptionally good. My sisters and I first visited without our mother to check it out for suitability and when we did take her along Corrine got everything we had previously said to her absolutely spot on. We were so impressed with her care, consideration and knowledge. I would highly recommend you visit this lovely later living property as it has so much to offer and has an excellent standard of customer service.

Having been let down by another retirement living company, we were quickly invited to view available apartments for rental at Bond Lodge, after our enquiry on behalf of mum, and met with the very lovely Sally and Alison in the Sales team who were so kind, understanding and reassuring. Everything was handled in a relaxed way, which was a comfort to us, given dad passed away at the beginning of the year and so we wanted to ensure mum felt comfortable and welcomed at such an anxious and unsettling time. Also, thanks to Kayley at Churchill who was equally reassuring and helpful. We are looking forward to meeting with some of the residents ahead of mum's move, when we pop along for afternoon tea soon.
