I got similar experience as others.

Approached 5.95 initial fee to check the eligibility of business rates reduction and confirmed I am eligible. After 2 days they took £900 from credit card with out even told me when i have asked told me sent email but initial agreement is no win and no fee.

Like everyone said in the review until two years no message after so many follow up confirmed by that I am not eligible for business rates relief.

These guys are scammers - any way we can get my money back from this company at all and advise please.

Fortunately we did not not pay on a card
They did absolutely nothing until 1 year later we received a county court judgement from them requesting £995
Subsequently we called them out and went ahead with the civil case
I have just returned from the court they did not even show up, judge struck the case out and awarded me expenses. Do not feel intimidated by them call their bluff

Be careful of this company - offer rates check for £5.99 and then they push you for £900 fee. Two years later still no refund and no improvements in rates and they just quote their contracted timescale. Never pay them or anyone else anything up front for rates review as you are entering into a subtle contract where they appear to be squeaky clean but to 99% of the population it amounts to a scam. Apart from anything the communication and service level is awful so you try to email others and then when they finally reply you get wrapped on the knuckles for involving others to get a reply. Seems some have got on okay but I'd say go to a professional who can advise properly and not charge until the work is complete. See other websites like: Reviews IO, Scam Adviser, etc

THEY ARE SCAMMERS. If there are any good reviews here, they are fake. After taking their payment, they provide you with absolutely nothing. I have sent them countless emails for an update but they don't have anything. I have warned them, reported them, and am not afraid to take them to court. They have taken £1000 without providing the service they promise and reject if you ask for a refund (which they promise you at the start that they will refund if they don't give you what you asked for within 6 months). I wish I had seen their reviews sooner. BE AWARE AND AVOID!

Don't be intimidated by these guys. I was due to meet them in court today because they were trying to sue me for about £1000. They know they had no case so they didn't pay the court fee and the case was struck out. We win. They lose. Don't be intimidated by them and you will win too.

Wow, I have been in my shop for just over ten years and have always thought that my business rates were too high but no matter how hard I tried I could not get the council to reduce them.
Clements agency contacted me and charged me a small deposit and told me to register with the cca service. Once that was done (which was a bit of a pain) the gov emailed me the work carried out and about 6 weeks later boom!!!! I went rates free and got back a years worth of over payments. I asked if they could get me the other years rates I have over paid but unfortunately because the new rate block started last year they could not go back further (wish I new Clements earlier as I would of got back thousands)

Well done Clements and I will be using them again

IF you pay them £5.99 they WILL take thousands without your permission!
THEY WILL threaten you with legal action which is basically small claims court then not bother to show up, so you will win as long as you do! (done it today).
THEY WILL call you and try to bully/convince you to settle out of court - this is because they know they will lose! DO NOT DO IT.
The companies business model is to con you on the phone out of £5.99 then charge you a massive amount for doing nothing! When you dont pay up they pay £80 to take you to the small claims court which scares most into just giving up or they call you to settle early. There is never any intention of doing what they say its all a con from the very start designed to rip off your hard earned money.
Don`t let these cowards scare you, just stand your ground, the courts are well aware of this company and their dodgy practices and WILL rule in your favour! I was awarded compensation for my troubles.

Total scammers - lost money and they have zero customer service you cannot even call them. This company should be taken to the police. They had the nerve to email me an invoice

I had a terrible experience with Clement Agency. They called me several times, offering a reduction on the non-domestic rate for my business. From the beginning, they seemed really dodgy, but I found out they are a UK company. They asked for a small payment of £5.99, which I reluctantly paid.

However, I never signed anything or authorized them to do any work for me or my business. A week later, they demanded a payment of £900, which I refused since they hadn't done any work. They then threatened to take me to court and actually did so.

This company is extremely unprofessional and not worth your time. If you have to deal with them, I strongly recommend recording every single conversation. In my opinion, their practices are borderline criminal.

Thieves, liars and bullies front the top to the bottom of this scam of a company.
Please take note of the reviews and don’t even think of using them for anything.

If I could give a negative star rating I would. These guys are a bunch of moral lacking, miserable liars and out right thieves. If there is anything I gained out of dealing with them it is a lesson that not all businesses operate in good faith and there are actually rotten business out there looking to scam hard working businesses out of their hard earned money.
We ended up going to court and unfortunately lost because the judge went by what we had signed. In the absence of any recordings of what was said over the phone we had no leg to stand on.
But I would rather poke my eye than pay these thieves anything more than the £5.99 they scammed off me.

Many businesses have been conned by Clements Agency. Please take the time to call Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040 or the web site action fraud.police.uk if you have been scammed. Action Fraud have this company under investigation and need more information. If you are thinking of paying Clements the £5.99 then do not as it will take £900 from your bank account and they do not do any work for you. If anyone has paid money to Clements you can do a chargeback if it's a credit card or a debit card. Its very simple you just call your card company and explain the situation and you will easily get your money back.

My brother sent them without concerns, then we got an email sending as we paid £5.99 we accept their offer of terms.
How could it be like that??? Without telling us initially, didn’t even read out the conditions as a professional company would do.

After a few month, received the letter from the court, please don’t ignore it like I did ( have been advised by my friend that has been in similar situations)
Finally, the high court send enforcement officers come while we are busy in the shop with customers , taking out our cash. Horrible.
Ended up pay them double amount of which they required firstly.

Living in Uk, I just wonder how these company can still survive on someone’s hard working money?

A company built on scamming with no guilty conscious and targeting small buinesses owners.

Anyone that has upcoming court case with these people. Please check the evidence they submit. The initial date of contact email is likely to be made up. I have spoken to many people and this has been the case. Email court for a court order to get your incoming calls or if you go to court ask the judge for that. Ask for physical electronic proof of it. Fabricating evidence is contempt of court. Also go through every single email communication with them and every email received, make sure everything is genuine and no made up emails. Not only the emails but the actual content. Go through each attachment and compare with the evidence they submit this is very crucial! Particularly the SURVEYORS REPORT which no one seems to have actually recieved and what the case is all based on. I have started a case against them and will keep you all updated and would need as many people to send me evidence soon, I will post an email here. They withdrew my case as they knew they were in the wrong.

For anyone that has only made the 5.99 payment, cancel your cards straight away as they will attempt to take out extra money without authorisation (this is theft report them) , send an email stating to delete all your data. If further charges. Apply for chargeback. Do not engage with them at all. Ignore all communication.

If you have been scammed by them do not communicate with them and just ignore them. Let them send you to court. Without their false evidence, they do not have any legal standing. Now that I have spoken to many people, I have noticed their whole argument is based on made up evidence and any engagement will be used against you. As soon as you notice the scam, change your card and ignore them. Let them send you to court and defend yourself. Truth always prevails. Genuine compainies usually try to liase through debt recovery agents before sending county court order. With scammers they send the court order to scare you to pay them off. Do not settle! Do not engage with them and let them send the county court order. When they provide the evidence, go through the evidence properly. No one would pay someone £954 to reduce business rates if its not a no win no fees case. They misrepersent their whole case and then use fabricated evidence to support it.

Since I contracted with Clements Agency in April 2021 I have struggled to get any feedback at all after repeated calls leaving messages as apparently its only their surveyor can provide any information on the application process to the Valuation Office. I am still waiting for a call end of June 2024 yet they were happy to take my money persuaded me that I would have claim why would I otherwise have engaged with them!!
Since writing this review I wanted to give an update today 10th July 2024 and I still have nor heard from Clements! The total amount that I paid them was much higher than others have quoted my invoice dated 24th April 2021 was for £948.01 including VAT! this was after their receipt of the £5.99 including VAT to represent our case with the Valuation Office Agency with their surveyor currently, who I have been calling for an update and is never available and never returns calls!

Beware of this company. Read the reviews first – I wish I had. Their proposition tempts you in with a £5.99 signup fee. They do not explain that this commits you to another large payment whether or not you decide to use their services. They have a slick process, all the way to taking you to court. We absolutely would not give in to them, so that’s how far we got. We were lucky as they didn’t turn up. Others less so. They have caused stress and anxiety and I have had to waste many, many hours preparing my case, liaising with the court etc. If only I hadn’t taken their call. If only I hadn’t trusted them. They are despicable.

SCAM PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE COMPANY £1800.00 LATER WHICH THEY TO WITHOUT CONSENT IN 2021.

Well I have just returned from court and they didn’t turn up, had a long conversation with the judge who agrees something needs to be done about them.
