Very poor customer service
Ordered a replacement charcoal holder as previous one had rusted through and was unable to use . New holder arrived which seemed better quality than the previous one but had no screws with it despite holes for screws .
Company said they were a separate item and wanted to charge £20 for 4 little screws which would have cost approx 10 pence .
As we live in Ireland we had already paid €90 for the part and postage .
Firstly we shouldn’t have needed replacement but the screws should have been included and the cheek demanding £20 to send when they would have fitted in normal envelope with a stamp .

Highly recommend.
For the money, the product is great. Easy to put together (an hour maybe) and feels sturdy. Has cooked for a big party very easily. There is a paint defect around the thermometer but I’m happy to accept it as is.
In terms of the ordering process, that was great too. I ordered and selected the following day as my delivery day. I had the usual message of ‘we cannot guarantee it will be delivered on selected day’ so had low expectations but it arrived very quickly the next day, well packaged. Communications were great throughout.

Warranty claim handled well
My gas regulator developed a fault after almost a year. I contacted Cosmo. My request was handled by Zandra. She responded quickly and pleasantly, asking for reasonable details. I sent them and she immediately sent a new gas regulator which I've now fitted. A very straightforward and satisfactory experience. Gives me confidence in CosmoGrill and their support.

This is a great company with good products. I have been their client for more than 8 years and I trust them. The key point is that they have spare parts for all products, not pushing you to buy a new one if a part is damaged or rusty after years of use. Easy to communicate and good support service. Returs are NOT free but £40
The website clearly states "free returns". But the small print not on the front page does NOT include "change of mind". I haven't opened the package and I've got to pay £39.99 for the return. There was no warning on the check out. Some companies selling large, heavy products offer you an insurance fee of £10 against the need of a return. But not these guys. And the return process with DPD has been a nightmare with two missed collections when I was in. Now I have to wait for a third collection.

We would just like to clarify that our returns policy, as outlined on our website, offers free returns for change-of-mind purchases when choosing store credit, while customers requesting a refund to their original payment method are responsible for the return cost. We offered the option of arranging your own courier or using our £39.99 DPD collection service, which also includes return insurance for the parcel. We appreciate your feedback about making these options even clearer, and we’re sorry that the unsuccessful DPD collection attempts have made the process more difficult than it should have been.

Excellent service
Excellent service, the grill arrived with a few minor issues, I emailed them and replacement parts arrived in the post a few days later, no questions asked.
The grill itself was good quality, took a little longer than 45mins to assemble about 1hour, and did take two people.

Absolutely rubbish after sales service
Absolutely rubbish after sales service. BBQ delivered and was badly damaged, sent them pictures and was told to bang it out with a rubber hammer.

The suggestion referenced in your review was initial guidance received while we were assessing whether the affected section could be corrected, rather than the only resolution we were prepared to offer.
When you confirmed that you wanted replacement parts, we continued reviewing this with our supplier, particularly as you had also advised that you intended to use the barbecue for an event that weekend. When you subsequently requested the pizza stone and smoker box as compensation, we authorised both accessories and arranged for them to be sent to you free of charge. We genuinely hope this helped in some way and are sorry that the overall experience left you feeling otherwise.

The components were fine but
The components were fine, however there were no new screws for attaching the ash tray to the lifting mechanism. As the existing screws had rusted and expanded through heat etc they were impossible to remove, fortunately I had some screws with the same thread and used those.

Best BBQ on the market
Delivery was quick and on time. Need to protect my wonderful CosmoGrill BBQ. Best proper (i.e. coal/lump wood) BBQ I've ever had and I've been cooking on BBQs all my life (I was raised in South Africa). Much better than a Webber. The vents/chimney are excellent and the moveable (up and down) coal tray it simply brilliant.
