Awful service would never recommend them. Customer service team do an OK job but terrible service from solicitor. Never available, never returns calls, always blaming 'working from home' for delays (its not a legal requirement to do that anymore and we've all had 2 years to get better at it). Put severe strain on us trying to get things done - wish we had never used them

I have a good experience from this solicitors, they tried their best to keep the chain unbroken, finished the conveyancing process within three months from starting, and our Solicitor, Jayne Walker was extremely helpful, responsive and took a lot pressure from us, even though because of the severe lagging and irresponsibility of our selling solicitors the chain was broken and we didn't able to complete. They have a very efficient online file management system where we can login, view and update the communications. I really appreciate Jayne's contribution. File No: 2149982

If you value your sanity then under no circumstances use this company. Would score them zero if I could but even that is generous. Had nothing but trouble from the start and then our buyer was persuaded to use them as well!. Constantly blaming the other office for problems, we had to work with the buyer to get the truth as we were lied to when we eventually got to speak to someone. Then when the contracts were issued they were full of errors, but they just said sign them anyway and they could correct them afterwards!! Highly irregular. Awful service throughout, don’t go anywhere near them.

I would rather not give a star at all but then i could not continue. this is the worst conveyancer ever how are they allowed to continue and not get disbarred . if you selling the property, and taylors says if you use countrywide, and you will get a discount on the commission or any kind of discount, dont bother because you may end up pulling out or your buyer pulling out due to counrty wide not doing anyhting to speed things up . you can call or go on the portal ask question do you think you will get an answer ? No drem on i had to call the estate agent to chase them . who is paying the bills us or the estate agent, that only the estate agent get answer from them . when i first called them the first thing they said was i need to pay £500 deposit for searches . they need a management pack and guess who had to pay for that . anyway my flat was not sold . the £500 never got anymoney back surely they didnt need all that money to do searches ? When I bought my flat. I had to pay a deposit and when everything was sign sealed and delivered. I got an email from my solicitor that I have some funds with them because there are some money left rpm the deposit I paid .Now that is an honest solicitors firm not this cowboy ccountrywide conveyancer . so if you dont want to waste money in the long run ,run away from these people dont be tempted in the discount tell them that you will go to other agent so sell . I have click that they let countrywide know about my review, but i dont think they care . because i dont see then reply to any of the many many bad review they got so far .

Worst company to use me and my partner are buying a home and sellers used countrywide and it's worst service I've seen bairtoweseves you should be ashamed advising people to use this company we put off in on house in September and we still awaiting paperwork to arrive the won't respond to any email you solicitors send delayed the process massively if your buying and see this company as vendors solicitors run away we should have

Not worth ur time of day!!! Rip of central also!!! Don’t know their head from their arses! And bairstow eves… avoid selling through them at all costs! How this countrywide is still a company working right now is beyond me! Needs shutting down! Joke shop!

Countrywide conveynancing

I put an offer in on a flat and have sold min in early october 2021. I sold my property through dixons and in order to get the pictures done for free they have u go through country wide. To start with it wasnt that bad, the have an online portal to share documents and communicate. I had some questions about the purchase which they answered, but there was no purchase tab on the portal, it was discovered in november that they didnt realise that they were also dealing with my purchase. During october and november i asked some specific questions on the portal about the purchase, including uploading the home survey on the new property, in all there responses, they didnt identify that they hadnt added into their files to do the legal work for the purchase. Even when i raised some questions for them to ask, the came back with ur solictor should do this, i responded to them immediately, advising that they ere my solicitor. They r really slow as responding to ur queries on the portal, if they respond at all unless it is in respect of a document they have raised. The reasons i get for everything is it is someone elses fault. The email not been received by the purchase solicitor, this is going to delay..... and so on! We are now 5 months later and they still will not give me a completion date. There is no chain on either side, and they have given me an estitmate that so far the fee for buying and selling is £3,500. Then when i say about them checking for the completion date, the ask if i have checked with the estate agents! Am i wrong in thinking that once ur property is sold, things like this should be dealt with by ur solicitors?

Dreadful!! They agree exchange and then withdraw that and start asking more and more questions delaying completion. They miss questions they should have asked right at the start at the process where it can take 8 weeks to get a response from the council. So this then delays even further or you are forced to pay for an indemnity at the cost of hundreds of pounds which could have been avoided if they had done their job correctly in the first place. Slow to respond to emails. Don’t answer calls directly. Just the worst Conveyancing company ever! Looks like they have a lot of junior staff who don’t know what they are doing properly and then have this looked over at the last minute, so if anything important has been missed as it was in my case, it delays everything and causes further cost. Allocate around 60 cases per conveyancer so slow to get the job done. Don’t use if you want a quick and straightforward sale!!!

I had a surveyor visit my property from this terrible company who the minute I opened the door realised that this valuation was not going to be a fruitful. No introduction just in a rude manner he said " Come for valuation " with a scowl on his face. Asked him politely him politely to take his shoes off in our home and reply back from this surveyor was all you people are the same and he also said that " There better not be any sharp objects lying around because I don't want to injure myself because of you people " Absolute despicable behaviour. I was on a conference call with solicitors and even they heard him saying this. They said " Is this guy for real " This is Racial discrimination !! To make matters worse he undervalued my property on purpose. Never ever dealt with a company as such who actually deny all wrongdoings. Absolutely shocking and shambles of a company. No wonder it has a high percentage very bad reviews from customers. Pathetic !!

I have just completed the sale on my late brothers flat. I was recommended this company by the estate agent, Watson Bull and porter on the Isle of Wight. I was a bit dubious to start with as I had a bad experience with another solicitor, but I must say they were very quick in completing the sale. I only wish I had used them before.

I wrote a review on this company on the 29th November - I'm just updating my situation here. The update is that literally nothing has moved. Nothing.

It has taken, currently, 7 months to go through a house sale so far - a house sale from me (in no chain) to another person (also in no chain). I am genuinely wondering if these people exist.

Very Bad service its almost one year It haven't finished the process Zeo and Emma are very bad service, do not recommend, don't pick the call don't respond to email.

I would give the Manchester office 0* if I could. What should have been a simple cash purchase of a house not in a chain was dragged out over 5 months until we were forced to leave them as they would not communicate. They would not speak to me or answer my queries over their portal service. All I wanted was a quick 10 minute phone call to explain how a leasehold to freehold on completion works but they consistently ignored my requests.
They also hounded me from a call centre over 5 days with upto 3 calls a day to do an ID check when I told them on day1 that my mother had died and to leave me alone for 2 weeks. The hounding only stopped when I complained.
Do not use this office. They do not respect that you are a client paying for a service. This is not the first property we have bought but these were by far the worst solicitors we have used.

I would advise everyone to avoid using this company. Our experience has been awful. They lost documents, when you managed to contact the company staff were never available to speak to and did not return calls. Emails were ignored. We could only speak to a member of staff if they phoned us. Our sale/purchase took over 6 months due to their delays. Even estate agents said they’d never dealt with such a poor company and advised to make an official complaint. Our solicitor often took time off to deal with childcare matters and nobody else could deal with her cases due to her lack of recording. Senior management were not prepared to take calls to discuss situation. Please think carefully before you use this company.

Our estate agent (Geering and Colyer) recommended Countrywide Conveyancing to us and we're glad we used them! Solicitor Leanne Williams (Cardiff) and her associates were absolutely superb in handling our recent move. They dealt with our sale and new purchase in a record 8 weeks, and she was absolutely fantastic. There were a few bumps in the road in our chain, but Leanne was on the case and kept us in the loop regularly. If we ever move again, Leanne will be our first call! Thank you so much.

I have been lured by Estate Agent to use this company promising me quick service. Didn't know that agent gets over £500 in commission, I only found out when I already paid initial £400
The only quick thing was a call from the Countrywide asking me if I want to get a surveyor from them, but when I declined they lost interest. The software that they are using is not the greatest in my opinion. no one offers any help. Everything is online and they ask you to print everything, even saving money on that. The charges are huge and when I made remark that this is not the service I expected, the reply was to let them know if I want to terminate the service. Some customer service!
Judging by the number of bad reviews on Trustpilot I wonder how can Directors of this company just do nothing.

We wish we hadn’t used these for our sale. It took 22weeks - solicitor went on holiday - so troublesome to get hold of - we had to fight for progress all the way and lost the will to live so many times, we could never see the end. It took them 2 weeks every time we responded to a question to reply then another two weeks to pass the answers on Avoid.

Good experience all round, good communication and prompt service
