I wanted to share my thoughts on the service provided by Janes Fellows. We have used Easy choice for the last 8years, they always give the best price abd best highly recommended Solicitord.

I used Easy Choice Conveyancing between January and March 2026 for a freehold house purchase.

What went well initially:
The pre sales experience was strong. I received a clear, itemised fixed fee quote which explicitly stated it included “all standard conveyancing charges, all Land Registry fees, and all legal work required in relation to your mortgage.” Having raised concerns about online reviews mentioning surprise fees, I was also given written assurance that any additional costs “would always be discussed and agreed with you in advance.” This gave me confidence to proceed.

What went wrong:
During the transaction, the solicitor Easy Choice referred me to added a £276 fee to my completion statement for “Registering charge on behalf of the lender at the Land Registry” — a routine step in any mortgage purchase — without prior discussion or agreement. I challenged this immediately. Over the following two weeks, I received inconsistent explanations: first it was suggested the lender imposed the fee (my lender confirmed they had not), then it was described as the solicitor’s own fee for extra work, before the original fee promise was retrospectively narrowed.

The fee was eventually removed after persistent correspondence and requesting formal complaints procedures. However, the wording used when confirming removal (“this time”) raised concern that the charge may be routinely applied and only waived when challenged.

In addition, Easy Choice arranged the full search pack for the property, which turned out to be incomplete. The purchase involved two land titles, but the search pack covered only one parcel.

Resolution and what improved:
After I posted an initial 1★ review, James from Easy Choice contacted me directly. Following discussion, Easy Choice refunded the full search pack cost, and I agreed to remove the original review as part of that resolution. I appreciate the fact that the issue was ultimately acknowledged and addressed.

What went well overall:
• The initial quote was competitive, clearly itemised, and reassuring at the outset.
• The original fixed price was ultimately honoured, and I paid no extra fees.
• The no purchase guarantee was applied successfully when a related purchase fell through.
What did not go well:
• The fixed fee and “no surprises” promise was not upheld without significant effort.
• Assurances given pre instruction did not align with the experience post instruction.
• Communication slowed noticeably once problems were raised, requiring repeated chasing.
• Despite these issues, it took removal of a review to be offered any resolution.

Summary:
Easy Choice’s service started well at the pre sales stage but deteriorated after instruction. The issues were eventually resolved — including a refund of the search pack — but only after escalation. If you use this service, I would strongly recommend scrutinising your quote and completion statement carefully, and querying any fee or document that differs from what you originally agreed.

I have since restarted a new house purchase and instructed a different law firm directly. Although the fee was higher, the service from quote through to delivery has been consistent and exceptional.

Brilliant service throughout. Unfortunately, my purchase did not go through as the seller’s onward purchase fell through and the property was taken off the market. However, the service from Easychoice Conveyancing was excellent.

Although this transaction did not complete due to circumstances beyond our control, I will definitely be working with them again for my next purchase and will happily leave another review once that completes.

fraud fraud fraud please please avoid them they will give you cheap quote by lying and misleading but in reality when legal work start they will disappear and leave you and solicitor in the middle to fight with each other and you ending up paying double price pleas please do yourself favors avoid avoid them

I selected to go with the quote provided & was advised when I spoke to them they would email over details straight away. Nothing arrived, I rang again & there was no answer. I contacted them on the online chat, for them to advise the allocated firm PCS legal were no longer taking instruction from them. No offer of an alternative, and I ran another search and the same quote came up, if they werent taking instruction why had they not been removed? Very poor service & communication
