I had considered having cavity wall insulation for many years, however my wife was so concerned about reports of damp and damage to brickwork that we had not proceeded until recently.

I researched types of insulation and companies, deciding to contact Eco Home UK as they are a recommended trader.

The price quoted following a survey was roughly as I expected, so we decided to proceed with the installation of bonded beads which was undertaken within a few weeks following the survey.

The insulation was installed over 2 days by installers who were very professional, friendly, and considerate. Inevitably there was a fair bit of dust generated from drilling the holes, however dusty sills etc were cleaned by the installers without us having to ask.

The size of the holes drilled inevitably chipped off the corners of bricks, but this was no worse than the pictures shown on the Eco Home UK website.

Overall we are very pleased with the installation, and look forward to the insulation benefits in the coming winters regarding comfort and fuel saving.

We approached Eco Home UK to provide a quote for replacing our aged loft insulation, after less than satisfactory quotes from elsewhere, having seen that they were listed as Which Trusted Traders. Tobias was immensely thorough and helpful in quoting for the job, explaining very clearly the options available. We had no problem accepting the quote and the work was completed in two days. The two fitters, Tom and Luke, were fantastic and worked relentlessly throughout to clear the loft of the old insulation and boards before installing the new material. As we wanted the insulation to be covered with new boarding, they had to attach stilts to the joists, which given the size of our loft was a mammoth task. We were amazed at how quickly they completed the whole process, including cladding our water tank. We can't thank them enough for the quality of their workmanship. They were both friendly and polite, and made every effort to restrict the mess created, clearing up thoroughly at the end. The house already feels warmer and the inside temperature has been consistently 18 C, even in the early morning before our central heating comes on. We would certainly recommend Eco Homes UK to anyone contemplating loft insulation work.

My initial contact with this company was good: setting up a survey appointment, the actual survey, quote follow up, questions answered, date for cavity wall insulation to go in agreed. It all seemed to be going well. I even received email confirmation of the installation date 28/02/24. It all seemed so smooth.

Then the installation date arrived. I waited for the team to arrive...nothing. I called the office - phones were out of order; I called the sales guy - straight to voicemail; I emailed other contacts - no response. At this stage I was thinking the worst. I then contacted the surveyor, Toby, who was very helpful, did investigate and did get back to me the following day.

Ultimately, however, I did not get a satisfactory answer as to why the installation didn't happen on the agreed date, but was told that it would take place the following week, 08/03/24.

Fortunately, it did take place on the 08/03/24, and the sub-contractors were polite, tidy and efficient. However, they were not correctly briefed, expecting only to fill the lower half of the house, rather than full height (as we'd been quoted). A phone call from sub-contractors to the office confirmed what was required and they completed the job as agreed.

EcoHome did follow up to ask if we were satisfied with the process and seemed genuinely surprised that we were not. (Interestingly, they did not call me on my mobile - the contact number for the survey and sales process - but on the house phone). My husband expressed our concerns, but this was met with surprise rather than acknowledgement and understanding.

While the end result of my interaction with EcoHome UK is that we have had cavity wall insulation installed in our home, the process was less than satisfactory and they have yet to acknowledge the failings in their scheduling and communication processes and the negative impact this has had (e.g. time taken off work; following up after the 'no-show' on the initial installation date) on me as their customer.

Good service from start to finish. Quote was given and good explanation of what would happen, how the install would work and what to expect. Work carried out quickly and staff friendly and knowledgable. Once completed everything was filled in, tidied and cleaned up fully. The difference to my home temperature is very noticeable and I no longer see condensation on the walls in low down areas

Just an amazing job!

I had a problem with water leaking into my conservatory. Thankfully Ed and Tom came round at short notice and did a masterful job repairing all my stone work to prevent leaks.

They even did a root cause analysis and identified the cause of the water flow - a blocked gutter - and then sorted that as well! Unbelievable! Using these guys was the best decision I could have made

I have just had my cavity wall insulation done and it has made such a difference to my house. I have been able to sit downstairs for the first time in the winter and not be cold since I bought the house 3 yrs ago. I have had to turn my heating down because the house has been so warm.

Both the survey and installation of our loft and cavity wall insulation were conducted in an efficient, professional but also friendly manner, always willing to answer any question we had about the process. All round excellent, and have already recommended!

The service was efficient and carried out quickly and has made a big difference to the warmth of our home. The cleaning up after, could have been a bit better.

Had a positive start men came on Friday morning started drilling in the wrong part of the bungalow when I told them they only had to do the old part they soon had it done they cleaned up outside but never checked the loft or the undercroft which looked like it was covered in snow phoned up and they came out a couple of days later. Excellent company with polite knowledgeable workforce. They left the house clean and completed the job exactly as planned. Customer service was outstanding. I would recommend them to anyone.

They were very tidy with the survey and showed a video explaining everything.
On the installation they were always polite and took care not to make any mess and afterwards explained everything they had done.
