Appears Authentic - Not all Ingredients have GC/MS
Please do not take my "Appears Authentic" to mean they are not. I wish I could say they are authentic but I have not had any of their oils GC/MS tested by a lab. I simply do not have the third-party lab proof in hand. The 5-Stars indicates that I am happy with my purchase and have no reason to question quality based on my olfactory observations.
Eden Botanicals pricing appears to be on par with industry standards. They do not post GC/MS reports on their website but sometimes you can find it on their CoA. If you need GC/MS, make sure to LOOK FIRST at the CoA before purchasing.
I sent an email inquiring about the missing GC/MS reports. This was their response: "Eden Botanicals has been in business for over 30 years and offers over 260 Essential Oils, Carrier Oils, Organic Extracts, CO2 Extracts, and Absolutes on our website. We do our best to inform our clients about each raw material offered by writing detailed product descriptions and openly sharing documentation (COA, SDS) for each ingredient. However, we will not be able to provide the graph results for each oil. Other documents, IFRA, EU, TDS, and Purity Statement, are available by request."
[In full disclosure, you may see the following word-for-word paragraph for other aroma companies I have reviewed. It is true for Eden Botanicals or any other aroma-based business you may chose to work with. I have been burned by a fraudulent business and the following is my advise, based on personal experience.]
I am a cosmetic formulator working towards opening my own personal care business in US. Trust is a hard thing to earn in an industry known for adulteration and synthetic dupes. The only way to know, for sure, that what you buy is authentic is to send a 2 ml sample off to a lab like Essentials Validation Services or Phytochemia. Companies can send legitimate products for GC/MS testing or Organic Certification and switch products. It happens more than any of us care to admit. You just don't know unless you have it analyzed and small brands simply can't afford to do that. My observation skills are clearly no substitute for independent testing but nothing from these samples have triggered a concern. That's the most honest and direct answer I can provide for those of you looking for a company to trust.
Note: I ordered Labdanum Absolute, Lavender (Bulgaria), Lavender (French-Wild), and samples of Nagarmotha and Violet Leaf from Eden Botanicals.
