Had our battery inverter fitted on 4th April. Very efficient service from Zak and Tom. Very clean when they finished..from Ashley who we first met to Liam Zak and Tom can't fault the company . thank you

I bought two batteries which were installed promptly, efficiently and courteously after I had placed the order and they are working well. I was a little disappointed that the packaging was left outside the house for me to dispose of and that I was not told this.

The check on the existing solar panels and battery on 20th march revealed that the battery's internal inverter had failed which I was subsequently able to confirm had started on 20th February. The Company provided a quote for the replacement battery and the reinstallation of my original inverter and was able to carry out the work promptly and satisfactorily on 23rd March. The packaging was left in case remedial work was required in the future.

Same as many others reporting recently, ie. claiming my inverter needed a 'voltage check' every 5 years as a condition to continue receiving my feed-in tariff. I politely told their smooth-talking (male) rep I regularly submit readings to my electricity company and asked what the problem was. Line went quiet....

Quick service provided
Received a call on a Friday and accepted a free check on my solar system the following Monday. This prompted me to look again at installing a battery to request a quote when the Engineer was on site. Received a quote the next day and following various telephone conversations with Jesse to clarify several concerns order was placed, and battery fitted on the Thursday. Although not the cheapest out there I was impressed with their knowledge and business approach and confirmation of their aftersales warranties. Battery has now been operational for 10 days without issue although still trying to understand the information displayed on the Shinephone app. Would I recommend this company based on is service to date – Yes

Like another of your reviewers I also received a cold call from a woman claiming to be from Efficient Homes telling me that our solar installation had to be checked and that Efficient Homes were appointed to do the checks because our original installers hadn't done them. As soon as I said we would contact our original installers she cut the phone call off without even a goodbye! We are not aware of the requirement for any such checks.

Efficient Homes came to us as a cold call. We wanted a battery storage system anyhow so that was fine. A sales rep called and measured and explained before making a recommendation and leaving a quotation.
We then sought and got 3 other quotes. EH was not the cheapest but, impressed with their business-like approach, we decided to use them, having negotiated a small reduction in the overall cost.
Our decision was conveyed on 17th March.
The battery and inverter were installed on 22nd March.
We paid the invoice on 24th March.
Perfect? Not quite. The installation team arrived on time and generally did a good job. They did somehow mess up our electric and internet systems which we needed help to restore. They left packaging behind.
The office followed up correctly but were unnecessarily aggressive and pushy about demanding payment. We had taken trouble to explain that money had to be moved from banks and other sources. Because they had installed so quickly (good) they became victims of the transfer delays that followed and the brief loss of internet access which we believe they had caused.
This left a slightly sour end to a job done efficiently and quickly.

Ordered a second battery on Monday and it was fitted on Wednesday. Good friendly crew arrived on time and fitted the battery quickly and tidily.

I have had a cold call from Jaqueline at Efficient Homes telling me that I am obliged to have my system inspected as a condition of my feed in tariff contract. She told me that the company had been appointed as our inspectors because of the failure of the installers to perform the checks. I was offered a next day appointment. I asked for written information but was told this is not available. I was therefore being asked to admit an unknown, unverified person into my home on the basis of a cold-call phone number. When I said I would need more time to look into the matter she put the phone down. This seemed to me to be very suspicious behaviour.

Just to say how pleased i am with my Growatt battery installed by Efficient Homes. Installation was quick and efficiently carried out by two polite and helpful young men.
The Shine phone app enables me to see how well my solar panels are performing and how much battery power I have left.

From the initial phone call to post installation phone call we found the whole process to be reliable time wise, informative and efficient.
Would recommend the organisation.

I am so pleased with everyone from efficient homes that I have had contact with. Josh Popplewell was very helpful and courteous when he came to check my solar panel system. He explained the benefits of battery installation very clearly and patiently.
The fitting of my batteries took place promptly after the visit by Josh. Jay and his work partner were very polite and carried out the work efficiently, quietly and quickly. Jay installed an app on my phone and explained how it worked very clearly and patiently. I was very pleased with the service.
I also spoke to a young lady at the office who was very helpful and when Leigham rang the day after installation he reassured me that I could always ring if I had any queries or worries.

The fitters were very polite to us I showed them the place where we wanted it fitted and they got on with the work with no interruptions to us. The work was completed with no problems. Shook hands with us and said any problems contact us.

TOWARDS NET ZERO
Several years ago I decided against battery storage because my consumption of electricity was too low to make it worth while. Since installing a heat pump, however, the situation has cnanged. Josh,tthe Efficient Homes representative, made a strong case, supported by convincing evidence and callculations, for a battery system to work with our solar panels and heat pump. Two weeks later the batteries and rellated equipment were fitted and working perfectly.

I'm impressed by the speed, competence and professionalism of the team. They had a clear picture of what was required, and explained what they were doing in ways a non-expert could understand. Their follow-up documentation is clear and comprehensive.

I would recommend this firm to anyone trying to decarbonise their home. The technology is now mature and Efficient Homes have the ability to apply it.

Without wishing to be repetitive following other reviews, all I can do is agree wholeheartedly about the wonderful service from EH. From the initial phone call from Liam offering a free assessment, visit from Anthony - he answered so many questions - installed by Jay and his helper and a follow up phone call from Liam......asking for payment of course! All so courteous and the installation completed in one week. Thank you EH.😀👍

Following an assessment of our existing PV panels and Inverter by Tony Whiteway on 9th February, 2023 the batteries and controller were installed just one week later! Tony gave us comprehensive information to enable us to make a decision to go ahead with a solar battery storage system.

Two young, polite and competent engineers completed the installation speedily and efficiently.
They left the site clean and tidy, downloaded the Shinephone App to our ipad and explained clearly how it works. The system was left up-and-running so we were satisfied with a job done well.

Liam in the office was very courteous and helpful which meant that the whole experience from start to finish was very positive and left us feeling that customer service is important to Efficient Homes.

Initially Liam contacted me regarding a check up of my PV system. A checkup was arranged for the following week and a rep Kerian duly arrived as planned. He had to access the loft in order to reach my inverter and carry out a WiFi set up on my inverter, but unfortunately he was physically unable to gain access to the inverter on account of limited loft restrictions.
Subsequently following discussion about the high efficiency of my system the idea of battery backup was discussed and the benefits clearly and precisely explained by Kerian.
As I agreed to purchase a battery, we settled for a suitable 6.5Kw. This was on the 7th February. Next day Liam contacted me and made an installation date one week on, the 14th February.
The 2 installers arrived on the day planned and were very helpful in agreeing the location of the battery and control box. Their installation continued in a precise and confident manner, all arising were removed and the system fully explained to me and the app was installed on my iPad.
Unfortunately, having accessed the inverter, they were unable to make a WiFi connection to my router.
Overall a very quick but professional process from start to installation completion of which I am very pleased with and the excellent service from all persons.

Efficient homes initial contact was prompt and the rep was courteous, informing us on the best possible system size and capability. The design phase needed a little explanation but was satisfactorily covered. The programmed fit date of, firstly the scaffolding was met with the scaffolders returning a second day to complete the fit; the team being courteous and careful in their attention to detail. We now await their return as Alan and his Team of electricians have been and successfully fitted the solar panel system today leaving with a full explanation on how it works and a little induction on operating the associated app. Alan’s team cleaned up after them leaving the waste material ready for collection later. From an ex military aircraft engineer’s point of view the job was competently led through and completed by an experienced team with good professional standards of work. Our rep JackR answered any questions, took any actions necessary and kept us informed. Thank you the whole team!
