Ordered on a Saturday. The confirmation said I’d get a delivery date within two working days, and delivery within five.

By Wednesday afternoon there was still no date. I called them several times, I got through once and they were unhelpful; told me to wait and I 'would find out soon'.

When I emailed, they said the lead time is 7 working days - not what the order email said.

I cancelled the order and found another supplier at about the same price who can deliver in 24 hours. Would not use them again.

After a little hiccup Claire got involved and sorted everything out very quickly. Great customer service in the end and best prices I could find.

Very easy company to use, delivered on time, two posts wrong colour were take back delivery driver or Gaines with his office for replacement
Which arrived the day arranged
Once putting decking together one board damaged, contacted company who arrange replacement arrived on said delivery day
I would defiantly use this company again, and recommended them

Thanks for all your help and support in getting my osb to me. The driver was extremely helpful as were all the other staff that organised my purchase and delivery. Credit to you all.

Great website. Good prices. Easy to order online and pay.
Had all the follow up emails with order recieved, processed and delivery dates.
Needed to change the order, and was able to speak to someone ( number in emails) in the office to resolve this matter quickly

If you ever need to order materials from this company do not make two separate orders
Im on doing a job for one of my customers which then was decided that she wanted to add more of what I was building
So ordered more of the same materials from this company and my good god! They completely different sizes 5-10mm obviously I didnt know this until I cut and drilled the timber to wall up against the old frame work.
Ordered the same joist hangers and they also different to the other ones I've got from them
Please take note that i started this job 2 weeks ago and building the new frame work today so not much time from ordering again

DIY Building supplies as a company are excellent.
Great communication, customer service, fast delivery and decent prices.
But can't give 5 stars like last time because of quality of timber. The last order was fulfilled by Travis Perkins and the quality was excellent, this time it was Bradfords and the 3x2 was not good but o.k unfortunately the 4x2 I really struggled with, this is the timber the trades leave behind in the yard.
But as I was only building a shed I managed to twist it back or cut it out and used plenty of 90mm ringshank nails.
So will use DIY Building supplies again.

The price was the best I could find. The quality of the timber was good. The support team were very helpful.

The order was 6 days late with no notification or any kind of communication. Lydia was very helpful and sorted it out in the end. Good prices if you don’t need prompt delivery.

I placed an expensive order with DIY Building Supplies on 25th August, specifically choosing them because they advertised a 3-5 business day delivery window and I needed the materials for builders scheduled on 5th September.
Almost immediately, the delivery date was pushed back to 9th September.
​What followed was a complete mess:

​Misleading Updates: I chased them on 2nd and 4th September and was repeatedly assured the order was on its way.

​Unannounced Delays: After pushing my builders back, I called again on 7th September only to be told they couldn't even source half my order. They claimed they would send alternative shorter versions and they'd pay the price difference.

​Incomplete Delivery: When the order finally arrived on 10th September, key items were completely missing.

​Chasing My Own Refund: I cancelled the remaining missing items on deadline day. It wasn't until 17th September—when I had to call again to demand my money back—that they finally initiated a refund, which I now have to wait up to another 10 days to receive.

​I ended up heavily out of pocket due to rescheduled builder fees and having to place a last-minute emergency order.

Ironically, the materials were delivered via Travis Perkins, who were vastly more helpful, caring, and efficient in fixing DIY Building Supplies' mess than DIY Building Supplies ever were.

​Absolute nightmare from start to finish. Zero accountability, terrible communication, really bad customer service as well as a lack of care and worst of all not a single apology throughout. Avoid at all costs—use Travis Perkins directly instead

I have used DIY Building Supplies twice now and each time the process has worked very well. The products are good quality and delivery is quite prompt. The prices of the products have been extremely competitive and I would definitely use them again.

yeah perfect, website easy to navigate, easy and clear what i was buying, arrived as expected, driver was nice and friendly, helped me get the stuff to the back of the house. Will defo go back to this site again for any future DIY needs

I’ve used DIY building supplies for a couple of largish timber orders. Beams and OSB board. The price is always decent and delivery very good. Far better than going to your local B&Q or other named DIY store.
