Great mattress and very quick delivery. Very firm but good cooling.
Good mattress and very quick delivery. Very firm and can take some time to get used to. It seems to have good cooling and has helped with neck and back pain however I do miss having the softness and cuddliness of a normal mattress. Wouldn’t be the best for side sleepers as the firmness can leave you with sore hips. It is much thinner than a normal mattress so the bed is lower so check it against things like bedside tables.

Delivered where I needed it to be if we…
Delivered where I needed it to be if we were not home, and perfect timing for when we needed it. The mattress is for my incoming flat mate, so cant say yet on how they love it or not. Looks great and fits perfectly on their bed frame.

I ordered new mattresses
I ordered new mattresses. The promise was to ship/deliver within a week. You cannot call Emma to query where your order is, you can only email them, which goes to a New Zealand mailbox but they cannot help you. Asked for a phone number to speak to someone but they won't give you one. Still no delivery date. Totally unacceptable customer service. If you don't receive your mattress as promised - good luck trying to get resolution.

The mattress is comfortable but there…
The mattress is comfortable but there are some issues.
1. There was quite a strong odour coming from the mattress when I unpacked and lingered around for like two days.
I ordered pillows too and same issue with them.
2. Mattress gets really warm at night causing me to sweat, which is weird cause I ordered the diamond hybrid one which has a heat dissipation feature. I guess it will be nice for the winders but for summer it's a bit of discomfort.

Hello Shekh. We do apologized for the inconvenience this issue may have caused you. The mattress and pillows are dispatched directly from the factory, so it may be that it initially smells 'new' when it arrives. You do not have to worry about this though! The mattress has been certified by OEKO-TEX® and the ISO to meet the most stringent safety standards. The smell should evaporate after being kept in a ventilated room within a few days, but you can speed up the process by washing the cover of the mattress at 40°. Should the smell persist we can either do an exchange or organize the return of the mattress granted you are within your trial period. If there is anything more we can do for you please do let us know.

I had a great sleep on the new mattress the first night we got it I’ve been having trouble getting out of bed in the morning as I have had 4 surgeries on my back and just had 1 in August last year thank you it’s the best feeling I’ve had in years

Sleepless summer
We have found this mattress too hard. I have tried sleeping in it for over 2 weeks now and yet to have a full night's sleep. It's incredibly firm & I'll fall asleep & wake half an hour later tossing & turning trying to get comfortable.
We're going to persevere for another week or so before returning... Maybe! I value my sleep to keep trying for much longer.

The whole experience with Emma Sleep exceeded our expectations. Simple to purchase online, well priced, the mattress arrived the next week and we moved from sleepless nights to the comfort of our new mattress.

Not a great experience
Not a great experience. First my credit card was charged without my order going through. This was sorted but I was then sent the wrong sized mattress. This was returned and proof of collection sent through to Emma Sleep NZ as requested but 6 weeks later and still I have not been refunded. The email responses are unhelpful as they don't give any information on what is actually happening with the refund and when I finally challenged them about the length of time it was taking, they stopped responding. I would seriously recommend doing your research on Emma Sleep before purchasing as unfortunately it appears this is a common occurrence for this company. If Emma Sleep NZ wants to escalate my query, my order number is 4000375928.

Second Emma mattress
Bought my second Emma mattress. I was quite happy with the first one. It took 1 or 2 nights to get used to but once I got used to it, it was difficult to switch back to normal spring mattresses. Gives sufficient support but at the same time soft enough to give way to the natural curves of the human body. Feels cooler than the average spring mattress as well which is great for summer!

Our Emma Mattress
Our new Emma mattress arrived very quickly after our order. It is very comfortable but a little firm for me to start with as I am quite a light weight so Emma has kindly offered me a comfort topper which should arrive soon and make me very comfortable. My husband is very happy with it and our two new Emma pillows.

Delivery communication was outstanding…
Delivery communication was outstanding and so far my dodgy back has not had any problems transitioning away from my old mattress. I reckon it's noticeably cooler too.

Great mattress, poor delivery
Ordering process and delivery time was fine. On delivery, the driver parked at the top of the long drive and I had to drive up and put the mattress in my car to bring it down, then ring my son to help me get it into the house. Then it took 11 days for the pick-up of the old one including one day when we had a scheduled pick-up time and waited for hours for them- they came three days later. Apart from that, the mattress is great.

We unboxed & put mattress on bed & opened the plastic wrapping & watched it grow it didn’t take long to look like a mattress, left it to do it's thing for a couple of hours. Hoped into bed it felt very hard & I thought OMG I'm not going to like it & thinking on how to return it. But next thing it was morning & we had a really good nights sleep the 2nd night our sleep wasn't the best & the 3rd night was good. So we'll see how the next few weeks go

Regarding the inflations issue, While it is true that you may use your Emma mattress within a few minutes of opening it, it will take 24 to 48 hours and a maximum of 2 weeks for the mattress to expand to its fullest size. So don't be worried if it is not immediately expanding after opening it. However, if it appears deflated and uneven after 2 weeks of trying it, please let us know so we can work with you to arrange a different solution. Have a great sleep!
