The engineer (Niroshan) was polite, courteous, and professional throughout the visit. He had a calm demeanour, which was very reassuring when working through a complicated problem. He quickly identified the root cause and resolved the issue efficiently. His work was carried out to a high standard, and he left everything clean and tidy afterwards. Excellent service, with great problem-solving skills. I was very impressed with his professionalism and would highly recommend him.

An engineer came out on behalf of Octopus to upgrade our smart meter. Once the installation was complete I noticed the app that managed our solar panel installation was giving out incorrect readings. After some investigation in the meter box the issue was resolved, however during this time I explained to the engineer that we had recently had an EV charger installed and had paid an extra surcharge to have a double block installed to stop our EV from draining our solar batteries. I mentioned this because the engineer was showing me before and after photographs of things that he had removed/reworked inside the meter box and I was now growing concerned that he had tampered with the block that was put in place. I asked the engineer directly if he had removed the block and he said no, but if I encountered any issues I should contact Octopus. I was unable to verify what he said was true at the time because my EV was not at home to test if the charger was working correctly and the engineer was suddenly in a big hurry to leave despite being in no rush all day. This further escalated my suspicions and upon connecting the EV to the charger once it was home I can confirm it is no longer working as intended. The engineer has essentially caused £432 worth of damage to my property, as this was the cost to install the double block, and I'm now in a position whereby I'm somehow going to have to have the work redone and claim back the loss. What was originally a very professional and pleasant appointment has turned into an absolute nightmare due to complete and utter negligence.

Just had our meter installed by Chris Todhunter. Very happy as we've had two visits where the engineer said it couldn't be done due to issues on the service. Chris turnes up very pleasant and polite looked at the issue and said he could resolve it. A short while later we now have working smart meters! Thank you very much Chris.

Tina was brilliant when she upgraded us to a smart meter. She had to coincide with National Grid while they renewed the old metal fuse housings, and she removed lots of old equipment and wiring.
Tina is a credit to her employer and exactly the kind of person you want to be working at your home.

I’d like to give a big thank you to Niroshan for the fantastic service he provided while installing my Octopus Energy smart meters for both my gas and electricity this morning.

He was friendly, professional, and worked very efficiently from start to finish. Once everything was installed, he took the time to explain how the smart meters work, what I should expect, and answered all my questions clearly and patiently. I really appreciated that he made sure I understood everything before he left.
