This is a completely misleading warranty company. It doesn’t do anything to cover any damage during transportation, delivery, or assembly. None of which are mentioned on the purchasers (bed bath and beyond’s) website before you buy coverage as is quoted “details of your plan will be emailed to you after purchase”. It’s a waste of time, energy, and money. No one should use this company.

I bought an engine mount from carparts.com an acquired an Extend 3 year warranty. Trying to install the part. It didn't fit, an Extend denied my claim. They are a bogus company, and need to be avoided at all cost.

This company is a disgrace to customer service. I contacted them on 5/17/25, because it showed that one of the 3 protection contracts, was canceled without notification. When I contacted via email, they called me by the wrong name and said that it was canceled due to an issue, from the store that I purchased furniture from. I could not get a response from the store, where items were purchased. Then after a back and forth, they claim, that it was an error, but never would accept responsibility for their error. I even heard from the furniture company where I had bought the furniture from, and they, in fact, clarified that I did have three extend protection plans. This company has never once to apologized for their error, they just brushed it under the carpet like it’s no big deal. It’s a big deal. I purchased plans through your company to ensure that you would ensure my goods for money. When you don’t even have the common decency to call me by my right and proper name, you give me the wrong information, and don’t ever accept any kind of responsibility for your errors. Not likely that I will ever buy another contract from your company. Also, when you send someone an email, you should have a name at the bottom of it. It’s called professionalism. The fact that you don’t have any name at the bottom of your email, tells me a lot about your company, that you don’t wanna be responsible for the information you give or don’t give or are responsible for or are not responsible for. That’s just plain lazy! this is an addition to the complaint that I already submitted. It took me a week to get information out of this company only to get redirected back to another company to cancel a contract that I have with their company. This seems very backwards to me. When you have a contract with one company, it should be canceled through the company that provided the contract, not the middleman. So I’m canceling all my contracts and I’m not buying any more contracts from this company. It’s a waste of time and money.

I bought my warranty for my son's mountain bike but I know Extend cover's various products. This was my experience. I bought a 2 year coverage for it and believe it or not within the first week the pedal came out of the crank arm. It was unusual but couldn't be repaired but only replaced. I made a claim and some back and forth emails with photos to support and they covered it. This was within a couple of days so it was a quick turn around and there email response was prompt and informative to my questions and process. Good experience and glad I bought it.

Horrible. The customer service is a joke. You are going to be told 10 different things when trying to get answers. Took almost a week for anyone to reply to my e-mails. Was lied to about what was covered and almost nothing was covered. Won’t tell you how much you’ll get back when you want to cancel. Complete waste of hundreds of dollars. DON’T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!

I had some structural issues with two recliners I purchased from Ashley and the customer service team was able to negotiate a suitable outcome with me. It did take some time to complete and the phone hold times were pretty long however I'm satisfied with the overall experience. Be sure to read and understand the terms of your warranty before buying one.

Extend is an absolute scam and you should be wary of any merchant that deals with them. Carparts.com tacked on Extend when I checked out somehow. (I paid extra for 2 day shipping so maybe then?) My package was lost and had no tracking updates for a full week and when I asked for a refund Carparts said I had to go through Extend. First my claims were immediately denied twice through their online claim system… like, within seconds. Despite FedEx saying they can’t find the package, the tracking saying it was stuck in Memphis somewhere and Carparts corroborating that, the Extend customer service rep lied and kept swearing up and down my package was out for delivery. (I live in California; it wasn’t). This person was completely intent on not helping me and willing to lie a completely disprovable lie to not have to hold up their end of the deal: insuring my package. Worst is when I got my refund from Carparts it didn’t include the $1.75 or whatever they tacked on for Extend. They screw merchants and customers alike apparently. So I’m summary, Extend is like any other insurance: useless when you need it because they don’t actually make money by helping those they insure.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the handling of my claim and order related to Order # M40811FC19707412 and the associated shipping warranty. Each time I submitted a claim, I received a different reason for the denial without any clear explanation or validation. Furthermore, I was asked to provide a police report, which I completed and submitted. However, the claim was still closed with the stated reason that they "could not confirm" the issue, despite the required documentation being provided.

I filed a \$925 claim with Extend after a delivery driver dropped off a damaged package in the middle of my driveway. The box was clearly open, standing upright with the product sticking out, and the packing materials (Styrofoam) were left scattered across the driveway. I have clear Ring camera footage showing the driver picking up the box—but leaving the Styrofoam behind—before casually walking off.
When I submitted my claim, the Extend app only allowed two photo attachments. They said they don’t accept video, so I followed up with four separate emails containing multiple photos as they requested. Then they claimed they never received any of the attachments—even after I resized and resent them several times.
To confirm the issue wasn’t on my end, I forwarded those exact same emails to my partner—and all attachments came through without a problem.
Here’s the kicker: after repeatedly saying they don’t review video, they suddenly told me I *could* send in my Ring footage. Which is it?
It now feels like Extend is intentionally stalling and doing everything possible to avoid paying this claim. Between the mixed messages, ignored emails, and inconsistent instructions, I’ve completely lost trust in them. If you're considering their protection plans—don’t. This has been nothing but a waste of time and a clear example of a company looking for loopholes instead of honoring coverage.
