This business should be avoided at all costs. To begin with, the information provided about the company is incorrect. This company was created in 2000 and taken over by the current director in August 2002, not in 1999. This information is on the public domain.
The Property Ombudsmen did not accredit this company, nor do they accredit any estate agents. It is legally required to join TPO or PRS to protect clients.
Unfortunately, based on what I've learned, there is only one employee. who has a handful of side jobs.
In 2016, I was misled into giving my home to this agency and allowing them to work in it. The staff claimed to be my pals, calling and texting me throughout the day until I trusted them enough to hand over my house and job to them. He intentionally damaged things in my home so that I could fix them and he could profit. When he took the keys to my house, he was abusive and refused to follow my instructions. It was a dreadful job. He promised to send me an invoice, but he never did so.
The owner contacted me, stating that he had been out of the office for personal reasons. (I still have the text) and his staff had done a private job. This would be considered a betrayal of trust in a normal business and would result in swift dismissal.
In 2018, the owner hired a contractor to put up a boiler and radiators in my house. The job was so poor that I had to contact the gas safe, who recalled him twice to bring it up to standard.
I contacted gas safe after the owner had refused to address my concerns. In October 2018, I emailed him about a radiator gap, which he dismissed without even checking.
For them, everything is a game. The owner is determined to make a reputation for himself and will go to any length to do so. He'll tell you about his miserable life.
The owner changed my front door lock key without my permission, made the keys available to me knowing I could not pick them up during work hours.
I arranged to pick them up on the weekend during daylight hours as I was aware of his character.
When I went to get my keys, he refused to give me all of them. I should have contacted the authorities, but I just let it happen at the time, which was a mistake that I now regret.
He claimed he needed the key to clean my house and fix the radiator, which he could have done since he had the keys from Monday to Saturday.
I went to mediation services as the owner refused to return my money. He offered me £700 of my money, attempting to charge me £300 for the tenant's waste, which was not my responsibility.
He could have simply returned my money when I requested it, saving me the expense of going to court. The owner has the ability to alter his mind about leaving the office, but I do not have the ability to change my mind about wanting my money back.
This exemplifies the man's character. If he hadn't told me that a member of his family was unwell, I would have taken him to court. That was the one thing that kept me from doing it in 2016 and 2019.
If we go to the garage to get our car fixed and discover something isn't working, we can't call them because they are no longer accountable, according to this company.
This is erroneous; they must correct it till it functions properly. Similarly, the agency must ensure I obtain the services for which I paid. I should be entitled to a refund if I do not receive or agree to those services, especially if I did not sign the contract.
My family was harassed and lied to.
On EID in June 2018, I'd had enough of his abrupt attitude, especially when I dropped some chocolates to him to commemorate the occasion, and he snapped at me and kept the chocolates.
September 2018, When I inquired about my home, he couldn't even give me a clear answer or make arrangements for its return. In December, it was thrown in my face without warning.
I had never seen or interacted with these individuals before this occurrence, yet they treated me in this manner.
We live in the UK, if the goods and services we pay for do not meet our expectations, we have the right to request a refund or have them repaired.
They don't treat you like a customer. They treat you as if you are in a controlling relationship with them, believing whatever they say is correct, even when it is not.
Keep away from this business, as I learned the hard way.
They do not understand some people are simply happy with simple things in life and appreciate their calm lives where they do not have to contact anyone; having their serenity is everything to them.
