Everything was efficient and fast.

Be warned! Finance it is currently involved in several Ontario rebate actions for heat pumps. Promised a rebate and then nothing. They go through JBR associates and act like they know nothing. It started with Ontario rebate company for greener home heating. Patrick in Ottawa. Many class action lawsuits coming their way! Do not deal with this company!

Easy to get the loan but the payment schedule and interest are crazy. I am going to look at my initial contracts again because the interest I'm paying is way more than I had signed up for. Once they made the switch to being Finance It I think they changed interest rates sneakily. I will be connecting with someone once I get my original loan documents together but I was shocked when I logged into my account and I have years and years left and most of my payments are going to interest. Shocking. Definitely feel like a payday loan shark. :(

The customer could not access your system to do the banking or verify their I.D. it took 3 phone calls and 2 days to verify the information and I.D. and no option for us a as a retailer to verify and submit like before.

Ongoing unresolved issue with Financeit / Simply Group — poor communication and questionable lending practices

We’ve been trying to resolve a serious issue with Financeit (under Simply Group) for months—and despite multiple calls, written communication, and a formal dispute letter, we have yet to receive any meaningful response or resolution.

Our issue concerns a loan initiated in 2017 for a Jacuzzi hot tub. The agreed interest rate was 6.99%. However, in 2022, we discovered—without any prior notice or consent—that the interest rate had been unilaterally increased to 12.99%. This was never communicated to us in writing, and we never received the letter Financeit claims was sent on August 19, 2022.

Despite speaking with two of their representatives, including an acting supervisor), and sending a detailed formal complaint on May 12, 2025, the company has failed to follow up or address our concerns. To date, we have paid over $11,394.29 on this $9,995 loan—more than $8,300 in interest alone, with a remaining balance of over $6,200. This projects to a total repayment of over $17,500, which is an excessive and unjustifiable amount that we believe violates fair lending practices.

We clearly requested:
• Proof that the interest rate change was lawfully communicated.
• A proposed resolution that includes adjusting the overpaid interest and settling the balance fairly.

To date, we have received no formal response and continue to be told that our matter is “under review”.

This experience has been exhausting, unfair, and highly unprofessional. We would strongly caution anyone considering financing through Financeit or Simply Group. Our experience has been one of poor communication, lack of accountability, and potential breach of contract.
