I was pushing for a quick, last minute purchase on a Drolet HT 3000, and I called the office at fire pit surplus to see when the unit would arrive. I have an appointment booked for first week of January, and the unit would not be here till feb 7th. I spoke with Darrel Goodall, and he was able to convince me to switch to the drolet escape 2100, with the variable speed blower and get it to me the first week of January. 10 out of 10 recommend working with Darrell and will definitely be giving him a call back for all of my future stove installs. I would give the fire pit 4.8 stars as the condition was very good. I have use it once and loved it. The only thing I would say is I thought the ring diameter could be a little larger. My particular pit does not have a real large flame but I think that is because of the propane temperature was so low. The gas pressure is related to the ambiant temperature so winter you would expect a lower flame. It could also be my regulator and not the fire pit. No blame on the pit for that, just stating how I like it and why.
It was packaged very well from the manufacture. My delivery was the sore spot of the purchase. The tracking order said it would be delivered on a certain day. It was very misleading. It did not show up on the day it said. When I called they said it would be another few days. They claimed they needed to call me to set the delivery schedule. That is not what my tracking information said. I would call the company ahead of time and clarify your delivery time before you take time off work to wait for them all day.
My sales rep was Rayden. He was great to work with. Very helpful with all my questions.

Being able to speak with a well informed Team member.
Being able to speak with a well informed sales and technical person is worth its weight in gold. Rayden and I discussed the size of the area, clearances, and an honest delivery date. We went over the need for any possible accessories and the advantages they might offer. As I already have a wood burning stove in place, we were able to get right down to what was needed.

I want to address the delivery issue directly. We require our freight partners to schedule an appointment and obtain a signature at delivery, and we pay extra to ensure that process is followed. Having that not happen is not acceptable.
While we do not handle the physical delivery ourselves, I will be personally investigating this and escalating it with the freight carrier assigned to your order. This is not the experience we expect for our customers.
Best fire pits for interior designers
I was buying from wayfair for my projects but then happened to stumble upon fire pit surplus and I’ve been really happy with their trade program. I’m able to find the right fire pit for any job.

I still haven't received my fireplace. I'm in the middle of winter weather with 6 kids and no stove. The delivery company has to be the worst I've ever tried to deal with.
