I hired first student for my wedding to shuttle guest to & from the venue. I did have to add things to and change the reservation a few times after I booked due to different things that came up when planning my day-of timeline and the logistics of travel time from room blocks to venue. Overall, those I talked to were helpful to make the changes- however I was disappointed the day of the wedding when the bus driver is calling my personal cellphone multiple times as I’m getting ready for my wedding to tell me “the paperwork is a mess and I don’t know what time I’m supposed to be anywhere” as he’s also already at a hotel an hour early. Luckily I had the times of each shuttle written down and screenshotted it to send to him & also had my maid of honor deal with it as he also called her multiple times. A lot of unnecessary stress. I paid 3k and I felt like I was the one trying to coordinate everything for them and tell them how to plan/run the route on the day of my wedding. The shuttle back home to the hotels went smoothly. We had a full bus reserved for our school field trip to Great America and this company charged us yet never showed up to drive us at the last minute. We had a scramble to find drivers and ended up making the best out of a very disappointing situation.

We used First Charter Bus Rental for our wedding as a shuttle to and from the hotel and venue. Our driver was friendly and amazing! She kept everyone safe during a 9" snow storm the night of our wedding. All of our guests said she went above and beyond to keep everyone safe. We are very happy we went with First Charter.

It is stated in the contract that pick up was at 8:45 and the buses arrived at 9am

I have been working with first student for years and I feel like all the personal attention and attention to details has been lost. I do not like the call center who knows nothing about the local branches. My bus was an hour late for pick up and no one contacted me. I had to do all the work and still got no where. A simple phone call explaining the delay and when to expect the bus would have been helpful.

Driver was awesome! On time, friendly, helpful. Led to a great experience. 10/10 driver.

I used first charter as the party bus for my wedding. They were scheduled for 4:30-6, but instead, they didn't arrive at the church until 5:15! I called them myself just half an hour after getting married to ask where my bus was because I had 40 people standing outside waiting for transportation. Not only that, but we were also one turn away from our destination (it was within eyesight), and the driver got lost and had to stop the bus and figure out directions. I was very excited about having a party bus for our wedding, but it turned out to be a regret that I didn't spend more on a different company. We were refunded $100, but I still feel like it was not worth it.

D'Angela was wonderful!!! So accommodating, kind, patient and prepared. We really enjoyed our trip and could not say more enough about her service. Planning for the bus itself was easy & convenient, no issues at all. Will definitely use for future events.

I wish there was a live person at the terminal for easier comunications

Overall we had a great experience except our drivers were not informed of the changes I requested several weeks ahead of out events. This caused delays in getting people on the buses and getting to where we were going. After I gave them the changes and told them I’d be responsible for that we were able to move forward. So the drivers were great but it was an office mismanagement that caused all the confusions and delays.

Everything ran smoothly on my wedding day! Friends had a great time being on the bus all together.

Overall our experience with First Student has been great! Drivers were friendly and courteous. Buses arrived on time 5 of the 6 days. One day they went to the wrong campus, as the school has two locations and we were working with both so it was an understandable error. The only thing we had to change was the last 3 days of field trips the bus drivers asked us to finish by 1:30 to make their school routes on time when we were quoted a 1:45 departure for all 6 trips. We our happy with the service we received and will book with this transportation company again.
