Do not buy anything from this company if you are hoping to receive it within the same year. Placed an order a month ago, when I check the status of my order it’s still placed! Absolutely shocking

Often, prices of pantry items are cheaper than large national grocery chains, especially in the super-special price category. Although sometimes packages are delayed due to shipping issues, the customer response team is quick to reply to emails and sort out problems.

Order placed.
Expected delivery date was 4 weeks away.
Tracking updated to say item was at their GB fulfilment centre.
Expected delivery date passed....
Email received saying the supplier hadn't supplied the item and it was on back order (despite tracking saying they had received it at their centre).
Now I'm waiting two extra weeks for the "supplier" to decide if they have it in stock.

Are we not living in 2026 anymore? This item is coming from the UK, not via the Strait of Hormuz.
Why does this all take so long, with so much uncertainty?

I'm convinced that fishpond is either a scam or some type of pyramid scheme where they take your money, put it in high yield investments for two months before just giving it back to you.

If you actually want the thing you buy to arrive, don't bother buying it from Fishpond.

Super easy to order. Good communication. Good prices. Plus, I don't have run the gauntlet of Paknsave dodging smelly people, people in pajamas, and whole families blocking the isle.

The prices are comparable to the regular supermarkets. There's regular deals where shipping is free!

I have only had one order not arrive and that was communicated to me clearly and a refund issued in a timely manner.

Fishpond is a very untrustworthy trader they make conact impossible and don't deliver the goods, I have tried very hard to get a refund to no avail it is now into 2 months & still no sign of a refund or any contact at all, this company are suspect and now I would say thieves..
Don't even consider dealing with this suspect company they are an untrustworthy trader...

Ordered a common text book 8 weeks ago and now on 3rd re-order

I placed an order for a vinyl that was meant to come from the UK. I first placed this order in March, and waited a week past the expected arrival, only to be told it hadn’t been shipped. It is now June and I was notified that it was on the pallet that just arrived in the country.

When confirming i was told the vinyl still hadn’t been ordered and was yet again coming from the UK. If i knew it would’ve taken this long i would’ve just ordered the original vinyl in New Zealand. This was a gift so the estimated arrivals are just terrible.

Do not order products being forced out of NZ because I doubt it will ever come!

I ordered two books which would take about a month to get to me.

Both book orders got cancelled because the suppliers couldn't supply them - I was notified when they were meant to arrive.

Great, now I don't have gifts to give for certain occasions that are time sensitive.

Why sell books YOU DONT HAVE IN STOCK

They're a drop shipping company that promises to deliver stock they don't necessarily have. I have waited weeks for my item only to receive an email today saying it wasn't sent to them and the wait would continue. They were communicative about the delay and have given me the option to cancel but I would avoid them in future.

I ordered a book at the beginning of March and it said it was in stock, but after buying it it changed to “on order” and the estimate arrival was beginning of April. That time came and the date changed to beginning of May. That time came and it changed to beginning of June. So I emailed fishpond and after a few exchanged emails I was told they were having problems sourcing this item due to the supplier stock information being incorrect. They couldn’t guarantee that they would be able to get this item, but would continue trying to source from other suppliers. After seeing that they cannot guarantee getting the item I cancelled it and got a refund.
I went on Amazon and bought the book which I received in 2 days.

The price of the pantry items are much cheaper than at the supermarket and the delivery fee is so reasonable, also delivery is fast 😊 They have such a big variety of groceries. I will definitely be ordering again. 😊

Sold me a CD, I waited two months for delivery, and then they said they couldn't get it and refunded me, proceeds to check their website and see them selling the same CD at double the price, I emailed and they compensated me a $10 voucher, but still really dodgy

All puzzles up to now have arrived and in good condition. Great price and quality. Value for money.

Terrible experience. Ordered a product, they sent me the wrong one. Shipped in back to them in the same box and packaging it was sent to me in - product was untouched by me and I have photo proof of the box before being shipped back. They then refunded half the amount I paid stating the product arrived to them in poor condition. Terrible service, terrible customer service. Do not recommend!

Waiting 2 months for delivery. Latest update is possible delivery weeks from now.

I ordered a book in February and Fishpond stated it will be sent in mid March- I thought this was quite a slow response time but I waited anyway. We are now in April and the book has still not been sent- it now states that it will ship on the 5th of April and has been reordered. This is the 1st time I have used Fishpond in years and am really regretting it. There is nowhere on their website to complain about their poor service. In the future I will order from The Nile as I have always found them to be reliably and timely.
