I bought a replacement bulb harness for a Plastimo compass. It didn't work when it arrived. I tried to call them to arrange a replacement but they don't answer the phone. Left two voice messages asking them to call me - no reply. I have sent 3 emails asking for a replacement. No reply received to any. Have now sent a pre-action email giving 7 days for a reply or court proceedings will be issued. Still no reply. I have now issued court proceedings.

This company has NO customer service! Avoid!

Seems their phone line has a lot as issues as my calls were 3 weeks ago and they are supposedly having phone issues last week too lol. All three of my emails went to the email address they specify and none bounced.

I wonder if the will say the County Court Claim got lost in the post?

If you wanted to resolve the issue you could have just sent a replacement, or provided a refund.

With a Trustpilot rating of 3 it appears you have a lot of phone issues and lost emails.

2nd update - if you are interested in resolving this then send a replacement fast. The County Court Claim was issued this morning which means it will be served on you within a week at which time I cannot stop it and the claim fee of £30 will need to be added to the claim along with s69 interest.

UPDATE - once I receive a tracking number I'll cancel the court proceedings as long as this is in the next day.

Ordered online paid for next day delivery. Next day get an email saying I need to pay bank transfer paid instantly and followed up with an email saying paid will items be dispatched for next day delivery no reply. I had to continually phone to be told the item wouldn’t arrive for 5 days from the original order day I requested to cancel the order and now 7 days on from the day of cancellation no refund. I did order the Garmin from another company at 16.45 and it arrived next day maybe they could learn about customer service from some other companies.

Absolue ioke of a company, ordered a garmin uhd touch and transducer for over £850, paid online, they then email to say, anything over £400 has to be paid by bank transfer, but it’ll tale 3 days plus, to get my original money back….

Shocking customer service-I placed an order on 16 July and the items were despatched to FedEx. FedEx then impounded the parcel at their Dartford facility. It is now the 5th of August and Force 4 have not returned an email, call or voice message. Disappointing. Despite using you for years I think this will be the last time.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS CROWD OF CLOWNS AND THEIR USELESS COURIER COMPANY, FEDEX!

I'm absolutely furious about this shambles of a chandlery company! The item has already had two failed delivery attempts, only informing me late on in the day despite waiting all day, and that they need to move the delivery again a third time.

I will never use them again.

I ordered a dinghy on the 24th July with a delivery address at the marina where my sailboat is moored. The card payment was declined as the delivery address was different from my registered card address. Fair enough. I got an email inviting me to pay by BACs with a reference to quote. Did that on the same day. Waited for a confirmation. Nothing. Phoned, noone answered. Left a message. No reply. Next day sent an email. 24 hours later a reply saying order had been cancelled (money has definitely left my account- assume they're looking at the first card payment). Phoned back again. No answer. Left message. No reply. Sent email begging them to read correspondence. No reply (so far). The trip I had planned this weekend involved mooring on a buoy and going into town using the dingy. Now, obviously cancelled. Fed up. Really poor service

They have now responded and the dingy is on its way. I'm amending from one to two stars and will amend to three stars provided it arrives

I placed an order on the 30th June and received a confirmation. Since then nothing, despite 3 follow up emails. NO response and the order message said I would receive within 7 days. Today is the 16th of July.
I have bought from them a few times before but this will be the last.

The phone was answered very quickly and my return processed very quickly involving a few very simple questions from an extremely helpful member of staff (Nicola).

Super staff, really helpful when I couldn't find the bilge pump I required.
Definitely recommend.

Good prices and fast delivery

I can only say my experiences of Force 4 over the last 2.5 years has been spot on. purchased a Icom M 37e in 2023, then in the last 2 days a top of the range Icom ME94de....they've also looked up sales details very efficiently for me, with a merry note in their voice and no faff...I'm happy paying a tad more for UK based company with real people to deal with....

Sent a fulty product that didn't work from the day it was delivered. Went through the return process via email and have had no response in 7 days. I have also rang customer services multiple times (during working hours) no answer. Left a message with phone No. And order No. and no call back.

Customer services seems to be non existent.

Exceptional after sales customer service. My product failed 3 years after purchase due to a faulty part and was replaced without quibble directly from the manufacturer. Communication with Force4 was excellent, resulting in a speedy resolution.

Two recent orders, both with problems. First one was C Tug dinghy wheels with incorrect hardware, weeks later, still no hardware - this was initially caused by the manufacturer packing error but Force 4 haven't yet been able to provide fittings. Second order, a key for a Temo electric outboard, and wrong type sent.

Plymouth store has been good but will no longer order online from Force 4 as service isn't reliable.

UPDATE: Still zero reply to Emails regarding the a) failure to provide all the components of the C Tug dinghy wheels (A996418, now waiting over 3 weeks....) and b), supplying different Temo piece to the description.

BUT I did get a reply to this Trustpilot complaint - pleasantries, that do not address F4's failure to meet their obligations under the contract that they entered into, eg to supply goods complete / as described, which they still haven't done. So now one star.

Prompt and efficient delivery. One item had got damaged in transit and they replaced it immediately with no fuss. Very good service.

Force 4's delivery options seem completely out of touch with modern customer expectations.

Their cheapest service (£3.95 via Royal Mail) can take well over a week to arrive. While some parts of the website refer to First Class post, elsewhere they suggest a 4-5 day delivery timeframe, which is confusing.

The main issue isn't Royal Mail, it's Force 4's dispatch times. They state that orders can take 3-5 working days to leave the warehouse, and in my experience it took around a week just for a small item to be dispatched. Waiting that long for an item to be put in a padded envelope is difficult to justify.

The next delivery option costs £5.95 but appears to offer no meaningful improvement in delivery speed. To get a genuinely fast service, customers must pay £9.95 for next-day signed-for delivery, a service that many retailers no longer consider necessary.

Overall, Force 4's delivery service feels slow, outdated and poor value for money.
