My experience with FourthRev has been…
My experience with FourthRev has been excellent. They’ve been a real support in my career development, and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
Digital Product Design (UX/UI) Career Accelerator
I took the Digital Product Design (UX/UI) course ran by FourthRev and King's College London. It was amazing and very full on. I would recommend it to people who want to start a career in the sector or upskill - I not only learnt flows and wireframing but also boosted my research and ideation skills. The course gives you enough to also kick start your portfolio. The employer project was a highlight, working in a team on a real-world scenario. Course facilitators were very helpful and always available to answer questions. You also get career coaching on the side which is very helpful.
Be aware that to make the most of it and not just pass to tick the skills acquired box, this will be a very busy experience. I did it on the side of my job and it was pretty challenging to juggle - definitely spent more than 20h/week.
All in all, I can 100% can recommend the course!
LSE Data AMA Webinar
It was amazing sharing my experience. I hope it inspires others. This programme has made a significant difference in my life and I hope it does the same for others.
I completed the Cambridge Data Science…
I completed the Cambridge Data Science Career Accelerator with FourthRev during a period where I already had several years of experience in data engineering and analytics, so I was not looking for a basic skills bootcamp. What the programme provided instead was something more valuable: a structured forcing function to step back from execution and think more clearly about problem framing, communication, and how advanced technical work translates into real organisational value.
The Employer Project, delivered in collaboration with the Bank of England, was a strong anchor for this. Working on an NLP use case around financial transcripts required navigating ambiguous requirements, imperfect data, and trade-offs between technical ambition and delivery realism. That experience felt deliberately closer to real-world conditions than many academic-style projects and pushed me to sharpen how I reasoned about scope, credibility, and stakeholder expectations.
The teaching and mentoring struck a good balance between depth and perspective. The technical content was solid, but the real benefit came from how it encouraged clearer articulation of decisions, assumptions, and outcomes. I found this especially useful as someone moving toward more senior, architect-level roles where explanation and judgement matter as much as implementation.
This is not a lightweight programme, and it rewards people who engage seriously with it. For experienced practitioners looking to consolidate their thinking, reposition themselves, or gain confidence operating in AI-heavy conversations, it can be a genuinely worthwhile investment.
A disaster – run away
The course is quite poorly organised. While the content is theoretically rich (usually, too much), it is not possible to acquire concrete, practical skills from the course materials alone, at least not within the time provided. Assignments and projects are poorly designed (almost all datasets make absolutely no sense) and insufficiently explained, which makes learning inefficient and frustrating.
The course facilitator added little value to the live sessions, which made attendance largely pointless. The career support component is rather disappointing and absolutely not worth the price. Overall, the course does not justify its cost, and the added value is far below what one would expect. It definitely feels as though you are only paying for the LSE name rather than for genuine educational quality.
Comparable or even superior content can easily be found on platforms like Coursera for a fraction of the price (around $50 per month), with far better structure and learning outcomes. From my cohort, very few people, if any, found employment as a direct result of this course. The success managers were generally absent or dismissive and felt inauthentic rather than genuinely supportive.
What you can actually manage to get from the course is a very superficial overview of data analytics and programming concepts, and that is the only reason I am giving it two stars instead of one, because I do feel kind of acquainted with the tools. However, even this overview does not fully align with industry standards. For example, tools like Tableau are emphasised despite not being widely used in the relevant professional contexts, whereas Power BI (the industry standard) is left out.
Additionally, much of the course content was outdated, clearly reused from two or three years ago. The employer project was particularly frustrating and ultimately pointless. The business problem was unrealistic, had already been solved by actual professionals within the company, and had been reused with all previous cohorts. Interaction with the employer was minimal, limited to one or two meetings before the final presentation. As a result, the project felt artificial and disconnected from any real-world application.
Overall, the course was disappointing, overpriced, and failed to deliver meaningful skills or career outcomes. I would definitely not recommend it.
Great place to learn!
Good breadth of content but expensive
You can learn a lot on this course but be aware some of the content is now dated, the experience on the employer project is mixed and the course is quite expensive relative to other options available.

FourthRev has been attentive and helpful throughout my journey. From the moment I enquired my course till the end of my certification. Highly recommended for people who are looking to switch career but doesn’t have the time to do a full time degree.
Career Accelerator for Data Analytics
Great place to learn and gain the skill sets needed for Data Analytics.
Great learning platform.
It was a worthwhile investment.
It was a worthwhile investment.
I would note that an online course is a little underwhelming because you have to manage everything on your own, don't always have teammates you can compare work with and have to self-motivate to reach the finish line (because the course isn't perfectly structured), but it was worth it.
Practical course with real-world impact
Really enjoyed this course. The material was clear, practical, and easy to follow, and it wasn’t just theory for the sake of it. I was able to apply what I learned directly in my day-to-day work in highway asset management, which made a big difference. Definitely a worthwhile course and one I’d happily recommend.
I recently completed the Data Science…
I recently completed the Data Science with Machine Learning and AI program at the University of Cambridge coordinated by FourthRev. The program is well-structured, but only worth it if you can commit full time. This is supposed to be a 20-hour-per-week program, but you won't be able to go deep enough in that time. The problematic part is the FourthRev component. I do not understand why the University of Cambridge allows this external institution to run the program. Their practices are borderline fraudulent, and I find it hard to believe that the University of Cambridge is endorsing such behavior. The most recent borderline illegal practice that FourthRev has been carrying out is that they are denying certificates of completion to any student who took the course through financing. Now they are citing some obscure T&Cs that were never mentioned before to justify their scam behavior. At no moment before enrollment did they ever mention that the certificate of completion was subject to full payment of the course. They never mentioned that if you took the course through financing, you would not be entitled to your certificate, they just wanted to enroll you, because money is money, in the end. Now, I hear that all the students on financing are not getting their certificates. I think the University of Cambridge needs to take action, and I hope the authorities in the UK also take action, because FourthRev is incurring in fraudulent practices, in my opinion.

The course was getting more intense…
The course was getting more intense gradually towrds the end of the course. The facilitators and the working material are very effective and efficient. I think the course requires more time than the suggested 20 hours so you can better learn and get better understanding. Having a job at the same time makes everything very challenging.
I completed the Data Science…
I completed the Data Science Accelerator in December 2025 and really appreciated its pace and part-time structure—especially as a mother of two with a full-time job. The selection of topics and the quality of the content were excellent, and the special projects at the end of each module were both challenging and enjoyable. They use real data and prepare you for practical applications. The difficulty increases toward the end, but the effort is absolutely worth it.
Previously, I tried a similar online, self-paced program, but it lacked structure and clear milestones, so I struggled to stay committed. This program’s design made all the difference.
Good experience
Completing the career accelerator has given me a better understanding of marketing metrics. My thinking is more strategic and data-driven and if there are no evidence based arguments, good luck trying to convince me! I thouroughly enjoyed the live sessions with the facilitator as well as the employer project. I was lucky to be in a group with very strong candidates. However, a little handholding for those new to marketing would have been appreciated especially with budgeting and hyper technical concepts. There's a lot if content to cover and it is not easy for professionals who have demanding roles. I would recommend the course as it pushes you to think out of the box, but they can definitely improve the their delivery standards. Career coaching and masterclasses were good. Only time will tell how we can benefit from those.
Do not fall for these “Accelerators”
Hi, for anyone who is looking to do one of LSE’s accelerators at the moment. DO NOT DO IT under any circumstances.
They are working with a company that is very obviously just trying to get money from you. Their concept is to purposefully fail most of the cohort so that they can bag the thousands of pounds and not have to deal with the amount of people who have signed up. Their infrastructure is obviously not set up to deal with that many people. It’s a scam. One of the biggest signs, they keep changing the name of their courses.
Low quality and overpromised
Overpriced for what it delivers. The material wasn’t just low quality — it was often inaccurate, full of mistakes, and poorly checked. When I raised issues, one response was “we have 100 thousand lines of code, what do you expect?”, which says a lot about their standards. Promised elements like detailed feedback never materialised, and much of the content felt disconnected from the actual job market. I finished the programme feeling underprepared. Very disappointing — would avoid.

This course demonstrates strong digital marketing BUT only for itself –> poor academic added value
After completing an intensive six-month degree in Digital Marketing Strategy & Analytics (partnered with LSE), I find myself not much further than when I started. Certainly not skilled enough to call myself a digital marketer. This is a major disappointment, and it’s why I can only give the course one star.
The Positives:
There were a few valuable elements. The specialised masterclasses delivered by professionals stood out. These sessions provided quality insights and genuinely practical know-how. Connecting with fellow learners was also enriching, where exchanging perspectives and ideas was one of the highlights of the experience.
The Disappointments:
However, the core course content and delivery fell short. The goal was to gain solid foundations in digital marketing – from tool use to data analysis – and to learn how to apply these skills strategically in real-world contexts. Instead, I spent 25–30 hours per week (far more than the 16 hours initially promoted), mainly writing academic-style reports that lacked practical relevance. The workload made it unrealistic for full time worker balancing full-time jobs, studies and families.
To make matters worse, the first facilitator assigned to our cohort lacked sufficient expertise. Although this issue was eventually addressed after collective feedback, the change came too late (by the third module). And even if the replacement facilitator did improve the experience significantly, the first two module could not be redone.
Poor Organisation & Lack of Practical Value:
The course structure itself was disorganised. Live sessions were frequently rescheduled at the last minute, often to times that were inconvenient when having a full time job on the side. And as far as the so-called “employer project” is concerned, which was supposed to be the most hands-on, real-world module, it was poorly coordinated and used low-quality data, unworthy for a Digital Marketing Strategy AND Analytics course.
All in all, the analytical component was severely underdeveloped. Despite completing a “strategy and analytics” course, I still don’t know how to use Google Analytics – because we never used it nor were we explained how to use it.
Miscommunication and Lack of Transparency:
Furthermore, due to bad coordination it has been a struggle to use the course towards CIM CPD (as promised by FourthRev/LSE). Whether this is possible is still pending and vague, and organisation to receive credits relies at this point entirely on us participants. Overall, there has been a lack of communication and transparency.
The coaching element was equally inconsistent. Some students received a full year of coaching, others just six sessions, depending on what was marketed at the time of purchase. This inconsistency made it feel more like a commercial tactic than a real add-on.
Final Thoughts:
In essence, this course demonstrates strong digital marketing – but only for itself. The marketing campaign was excellent; the delivery, unfortunately, was not. They made their money, but at the cost of students who end up feeling disappointed, misled, and unprepared for real-world work.
If it weren’t for my supportive peers and Jenna’s outstanding takeover as facilitator, I would have dropped out after module 3.
My Personal Advice:
If you’re serious about developing in this field, invest your time and money in a Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) program instead. Their offerings provide far better value, practical application, and professional support.
In short: this course looks impressive from the outside, but the inside doesn’t live up to the promise.
UX Course Poorly Delivered by Fourth Rev
I was part of the Feb 2025 cohort for UX/UI KCL Career Accelerator. The course was interesting and the tutor was good (1 x hr online group session per week) but was very poorly delivered by Fourth Rev. A lot of time and effort is put into recruitment compared to the minimal support we got when on the course, feelings that were shared by multiple students and fed back to Fourth Rev. The allocated course facilitators or 'success managers' often took days to get back to questions on the online portal which was very frustrating for a group learning remotely on a fast-paced course. I enjoy independent learning and still passed with Distinction but I think the course is extremely expensive for what it offers, and doesn't offer anywhere near enough support for a course that's run fully online (and as they're constantly onboarding students every month or so it's not like they're not making enough money out it!).
