After a barrage of phone calls from many lenders, West Capital, the one I tried first, did not work out.
Free Rate sells your personal information, so prepare to see an increase in phone call solicitors, and phishing emails.

From LO aspect, company leads are inconsistent, you pay for their services, give them guidelines on the types of leads that you would like to receive, and they do everything opposite of what you requested. You request a certain amount of leads per day and they never deliver on what was requested. You ask for certain amount of loan types, and they do everything opposite of what was requested, Inconsistent quality

This is a spam company that sends your phone number to China, India, Philippines, and has them call you all night and day. They do not take you off their list even if you tell them not to call. The filthiest of the filth.

I was looking for a rate and they contacted me, the lender they sent me too, I guess figured I was too informed on my financial status and hung up on me.

I would like to point out to consumers on this review site that the company only provides a source of contact information about connecting you with a lender. Those who complain about the actual lender on a page that is strictly a review of Free Rate Update are acting out of ignorance of this fact. The lender is not a part of the company Free Rate Update; the company only provides access to borrowers for a fee to loan officers. If you can't distinguish between the two,your critical thinking needs to be fixed.

This is a scam. It presents itself like you are going to get a bunch of rates after you fill out their form. I went through their prompts and gave over all my information, only to have them lead me to a screen listing various lenders and links to those lenders where I could give them all my information again to get a rate. They DID NOT GIVE ME ANY RATES. I could have found all these lenders without sacrificing my information for free. Can't wait to get all the spam when they sell my info after giving me nothing of value.

I wasn't even done typing my info in the web site for my free rate update when I got a call from the company (they let you pick email or text, forget that option. I chose email) While I'm talking to the first financer who called me, my phone started blasting by other companies calling and texting from all over the country. Non stop at the same time!!! I felt like a piece of meat thrown in a school of piranha. The sad thing is, there is no way to warn others. I only came on Trust Pilot after the damage was already done. I'm blocking a ton of calls now. BEWARE....They do sell your number.

Scam company that sells your phone number and email. If you love being harassed at all hours of the day and night, then go right ahead and give them your information.

Now 3 years after this initial review, they are harassing and spamming my email for "clarification". How about the 5+ spam calls daily and hundreds of daily emails from scam lenders that these @$$ holes sold my information to for "clarification". May all workers at this company have the day they deserve.
