Order was taking some time. I decided to cancel since the order was slow and they seriously over charged on taxes. They charged 9.3% instead of the correct tax rate of 5.9%. They ignored my attempt to have the tax error refunded. These folks run a pretty poor outfit.

They made a mistake on an order. They admitted to the mistake. They only refunded about half of the amount that should have been refunded. The reason given for the incomplete refund was "the maximum eligible refund has already been issued in accordance with our policy". I think I'd like to read the wording of that policy, because it seems pretty much criminal to me.

Ordered item 11 days ago of gravel for a water system. Was informed the following day that they were preparing to ship. 10 days no later and no update. Contacted company with no response. Hoping to cancel order. Prices are fair but shipping is unacceptable. Only order if you are fine with significant shipping delays.

Beware that the hot housings sold on this site have a manufacturers recall for performance failure. Site was notified and continues to sell the hot housing from Pentair. Manufacture is Altas Filtri not Pentair

Ordered a water filter that was 25% lower than the average price on the web. It took 3.5 weeks to receive. I emailed after 2 weeks, and they responded in 2 days saying they had unforeseen issues at their SC shipping facility. Before I paid for my $200 filter – I asked how many they have in “Stock” and they said over 250 but it still took 3.5 weeks to arrive. Then when I received the filter & looked at the date code and it was made 8 years ago back in March of 2017 and its now April of 2025. No wonder the price was so good. I would recommend being very cautious in buying from this vender and I do not trust all the “anonymous” positive reviews on Google which is a business partner. I gave the 2 stars as their website is good and I did get the item eventually but now I have the risk of ownership to my customer to see if it will still perform being its 8 years old.

If you order on Amazon it is free shipping free returns, you order from there site they dont offer it even though i have made few hundred dollar worth of purchases. Very disappointed.

Buyer beware! This company does NOT stand behind their products. I ordered and received 4 ceramic water filters. I used two and kept the remaining 2 for in two years when the filters would again require replacement.
When I tried to recently use the filters I discovered the remaining 2 filters had shattered during shipping. The company would not replace the filters citing too much time had elapsed since shipping. Yet their insufficient packaging protection was entirely their responsibility.
Do not do business with thhis company, Suggest online companies "Discount Filters" or "Filters Fast", both of which treat their customers fairly,

I ordered 2 wrenches for my water filter housing; I gave them the housing information and they sent me the wrong size. After writing to them with photos of the new wrench, the old wrench and the actual housing unit they ghosted me. I've written to them at least 5 times with no reponse.

I am NOT happy. I placed an order (and my credit card was charged) on January 19. Then I was told the items were not in stock. I confirmed that I would wait. I live in the country of Panama, a long way from the capital. My order was finally received at my package forwarding address in Miami on February 27th. I finally received my order last week (having paid $16.75 to receive them) and prepared to use two of the filters yesterday. Well, I discovered that the wing nut will not tighten over the threaded mount.
Fortunately, I discovered that the wing nuts from my current Marathon Ceramics filters will tighten over the threaded mount of their filters sufficiently. Otherwise the four filters I ordered from them would be completely unusable. And of course living out of the US, there is no way I could return them. My package forwarding company RECEIVES items for me, but they do not SHIP TO the US.

Because of this obvious fault in manufacturing, I have doubts about the integrity of the filters.

Update on March 15, 2024 - I sent an email to Fresh Water Systems before posting my review on Trustpilot. Then I gave Trustpilot permission to send Fresh Water Systems a copy of my review.

No response from Fresh Water Systems. Obviously they are scammers. Do not buy anything from this company.

Placed first order, they told me an item was out of stock and had to delete it. One week later that out of stock item shipped after I ordered it from someplace else and i just kept it not wanting to deal with a return. Now two weeks later on a second order I received a damaged item, then they asked for 7 photos which I sent and could not get a response after that other than they would file a claim. I am in process of filling a credit card dispute since they don't want to accept the fact they shipped an improperly packed item and apparently could care less. I have asked for two updates and gotten none. What an awful experience, now I see why people stick to Amazon.
