Thomas Morgans contacted us before letting us know us know time he’d be arriving, which was really helpful. He wore his shoe covers to protect our floor surfaces and was such a nice young man, polite and cheerful. He informed my husband on what he was doing and reasons why. When in our loft, he found the tank leaking hard water and fixed for us .He also activated our 10 year warranty which sometimes as customers we do forget about. Thomas was really tidy and cleaned up once finished. He covered the payment choices with us. Such brilliant service. We would thoroughly recommend Kinetico to our friends.

Our entire Kinetico experience was nothing but superb: from booking our service appointment to reminder texts and notifications of our tech's arrival. Our tech, Juan (from the Venice Florida office) was spot on with his anticipated arrival time, and was quick, professional - and personable! Wow - your company should train others in not only software to make appointments and keep customers in the loop - but also in all 'round customer service!
Horrid
Significantly worsened customer service and product quality recently. Been 13+ years' customer but firmly decided to switch. Team wrongly advised me to use AquaScale cartridge on an AquaGuard system, so it led me to pay for the wrong cartridge, which also took more than two weeks to arrive. The team took 1+ week to just send it off via DPD and only responded upon a chaser. Obviously, the cartridge did not work on the undersink filter head, and instead of sending the right cartridge or refunding, asked to return the wrong cartridge with no guarantees it would not take so long again to receive the correct one. In the past, they used to just provide a free extra upon their fault, rather than requiring customer to go through full onerous routine of returning.
Further, the customer service advisor JH, came off rude and negligent in email communications, making grammar and syntax mistakes, which made me question if it is in reality an impostor agent not fluent in English. Her colleague LT was the one who wrongly pointed me to order the wrong cartridge for the system. Further, JH made false statements that there is no system that will allow to do both scale reduction and functions of AquaGuard cartridge, whereas their direct competitors like Brita already offer a CHEAPER cartridge undersink systems that do in all in one go.
Overall, just avoid this company as they do not care about their customers or quality of service. Used to be better in the past, but now they simply are not worth it either price or quality wise.
UPD: I did receive a refund, which is a big improvement, but the experience overall was still negative, hence, retaining the rating.
Delivered damaged - doesn’t work
The unit was delivered with condensation inside. The unit was in stalled. The bypass valve leaked. The unit fails to regenerate automatically.
The unit was purchased via Leroy Merlin online via a company in Spain named BricocasaEs. All 3 of the companies involved will not solve the problem.

I paid $5,500.00 up front for the system . WHAT A MISTAKE! Today, 24 hours after installation, NO Drinking water!!!! And wake up this morning to find the tank is leaking under my sink! Review ongoing....

Ik had echter nog 4x8 kg zoutblokken en heb die terug meegegeven. Zowel de installateur als de medewerkers aan de telefoonlijn beloofden deze te crediteren. Uiteindelijk kreeg ik als antwoord dat dit niet wordt gedaan, ze kunnen me enkel nog extra zout leveren als compensatie !!!
Hoodwinked
I purchased what I was told was a full Kinetico dechlorination and softening system. What I actually received was a modified, substandard setup that even their own staff later admitted will require expensive “rebedding” every few years — about $700 each time. That is not normal maintenance; it’s the consequence of them cutting corners and selling a system designed to fail prematurely.
When I contacted Kinetico corporate, they initially agreed the system should be replaced with a proper dual-tank setup — exactly what I paid for. Then the local dealer backtracked, insisted that “rebedding” is fine, and claimed it’s just part of ownership. Corporate later deferred right back to the dealer, leaving me stuck between two entities pointing fingers at each other.
This entire experience has been deceptive, exhausting, and costly. I now have zero confidence in this dealer or Kinetico’s oversight. Selling customers “modified” systems that don’t perform as represented — then expecting them to pay hundreds every few years to fix the resulting damage — is unacceptable.
I will be leaving this same honest review on every major platform so other customers don’t get hoodwinked the way I was.

As a long standing customer (I have a Kinetico water softener and water filter), I was really pleased with the buying experience as I had to replace my 10 year old K5 filter. The engineers were friendly, professional, polite and efficient. The customer service was excellent as they answered all my queries promptly. Would recommend Kinetico to anyone who is thinking of purchasing water systems from them.
Their billing system is from the 1970's
I have been trying to pay my bill. I didn't know that my card on file didn't work. (Gee, they could have told me that via email.) Kinetico insists on a card on file to be taken out every month. My contract work and my money don't work that way.
They send you a cryptic text, but then when you call, you are on hold. (Don't try to call over lunch; they aren't there.). Then I got two cryptic messages back while I was on the phone working. One from a man that had no useful ability to speak English and then a woman called, where half the message was cut off. I called them back (this is call-back number 3, trying to resolve this), and I was told that Kinetico doesn't have a payment portal, so you MUST put a card on file.
Their billing system is archaic and their snooty attitude with their customers is in dire need of an
adjustment. Thank goodness I like and need their unit, or I would send it back.
The water softner was faulty from day…
The water softner was faulty from day one, they agreed to extend warranty on it, as they would not take back the softner. Its broken down 4 times now in 6 years and its costs £120 labour each time
Service with a capital S
We have just moved to an apartment which boasted a water softener. A wonderful luxury to have soft water.
Sadly the unit has sprung a leak at a joint and I called Kinetico who confirmed it was under warranty, changed their records and two hours later confirmed that an engineer was to be with me within the hour. Service of the highest order.

If you live in Dallas, TX area do not buy Kinetico Water Systems. There is no way to get good service because there is only one provider and they don't know what they're doing.
Corporate is no help either. They don't return calls.
Unethical and worst customer service and technician facility
I would like to give you advice that please do not buy this Kinetico Water System because I am not satisfied with this product and also their employees. Customer service facility and technicians are worst, I am very disappointed to buy this system due to unethical behavior from employees of Kinetico water system and Costco. I have wasted my money behind this Kinetico Water system, Please do not buy this Kinetico water system.
The filter was delivered faulty/broken
The filter was delivered faulty/broken. My water system was filled with active coal and it clogged up up the system so we had no running water in the tabs.
They refused to give money back for filter or pay for the cost that it cost me to restore my water system to a functional level.
I have a whole home system and it's great!
I have a whole home system. Drinking water system, dechlorinator, and a softener, and it's nothing short of perfection. My expensive appliances were starting to show scale, in the dishwasher, and on glasses. Once I added Kinetico to my home, it took about 30 days, for all those stains to be removed from glass, appliances. My wife loves soft water and her hair is silky smooth. Our hands, nice soft skin. Winter eczema is completely gone, just with a softener. Kids drinking the safest water now versus a fridge filter that doesn't do nearly anything like Kinetico does. A+++!!!!
Terrible customer service with Aquarius…
Terrible customer service with Aquarius in Marshall MN; we are current customers having a Kinetico r.o drinking system and water softer and wanted an estimate on a new/updated r.o drinking system. The rep wanted to schedule an in home meeting with a tech, however, we had already had a tech to our residence and had the current system serviced and I stated another in home consult isn’t, needed, I just wanted a price for a new system and asked them to look at our account. The rep stated they couldn’t see we have a current drinking r.o system (even though we do) which was frustrating. I stated I would look elsewhere for a drinking water system, but then she stated she could give a dollar amount “range” for the system. I initially thought that was fine as I’m just trying to get an estimate which shouldn’t be difficult. The rep then quoted $4000-$2000. I stated that is a ridiculous price range and again stated we’d go with another drinking water system (culligan) .. overall Kinetico out of the Marshall MN area has terrible customer service .. needless to say we will be going with culligan (who gave a realistic estimate for a new system when we called them).

Had to have plumbers come out to repair the system installation at a cost of $2,627.00, not to mention repairs for the damage the leak caused, which thankfully was covered by my home insurance. The two plumbers that looked at it said it was installed incorrectly, and with the wrong size drain pipe/hose. When I contacted Kinetico they offered no help, for the $2,627.00 plumbing repairs, the woman merely said she would make a notation on my account. Stay away from Kinetico in San Antonio, or if you do buy one of their systems, have someone else install it. I was told that had I called them they would have replaced the parts for free, but not the labor. If they did it wrong the first time, why would I allow them to do it again!!!

After a disappointing start having had 3 cancellations for an engineer to service our water softener, one finally attended today, not only was Billy polite, he was confident & carried out the service efficiently. Would recommend him.
