Complete bait and switch SCAM. They offered me one quote on my laptop, and then they actually paid me less than HALF once I had shipped everything to them. I had to purchase a box and packing in order to fulfill the box size requirements that come along with their “free shipping”, which means that I now lost money sending my unit to them. If you are looking to get the best payment for your old laptop, phone or whatever, stay away from Gadgetsalvation.com they suck, and they will take advantage of you once they get your item. They will take advantage of the fact that you don’t want to pay for them to ship it back to you, so you end up taking way less than you should!!

I thought I selected the right laptop and apparently I didn't. Offered me pennies for a laptop that works when plugged in but the display goes out on battery. Want to charge me more to ship it back and I live in the same county so it makes no sense to charge me 4x more than you are willing to give for the laptop. You'd be better off just donating your used stuff to charity.

Update: Misunderstanding and they promptly corrected it. They DO NOT CHARGE TO RETURN. Stand up company. Communicate up front if you have questions. Will keep them in mind if I have future needs.

Had an old P55 Gigabyte gaming laptop I used throughout college that had problems booting due to a broken battery/charging port. At this point the laptop was about 5 years old and I knew it had near zero value but didn't want to just toss it into the garbage. Used Gadget Salvation's calculator and they were still willing to pay a small amount for my large paperweight so I decided to recycle with them.
Whole process was very simple, printed out the packing slip and shipping label and slapped it on my laptop's original box (if you don't have a proper container you have to provide your own unfortunately) and dropped it off at UPS and they took care of the rest. My laptop arrived at Gadget Salvation in about three days and I was promptly paid by the method I specified.
One thing to watch out for is removing the device password, they have the right to pay you less if you send them an item and it's still password locked when you said it wasn't (why aren't you clearing your hard drive's information before sending off your device in the first place though).

Very convenient and easy! Just find the item you want to sell on their website, accept the quote if you agree with it, print your shipping label and package the item, and drop off at your local UPS! Very straightforward and easy way to get rid of electronics you just don’t use!
